He specifically asked for one of my employees by name and proceeded to behave in an extremely aggressive and threatening manner. His language was vulgar, unprofessional and completely unacceptable in any context-let alone in a professional setting. My employee felt harassed, intimidated, and genuinely afraid for his safety. Despite being asked to leave mutliple times, your employee failed to do so. Our owner had to personally intervene to defuse the situation. The police (Pelham Police Department) were called and responded quickly, but your employee had already left the premises by the time they arrived. My employee is left feeling unsafe and on edge, with real concern that this individual may return and attempt to retaliate. This is not just a matter of inappropriate conduct-- this was an act of workplace intimidation and harassment, possibly bordering on criminal behavior. We are prepared to share further details and cooperate with law enforcement as needed. Please take this matter with the seriousness it deserves and respond promptly.

First Brandy came over and looked at it and took pictures. She told me basically what I needed done. A few days later I called Joe and he came over and looked at the project. My wife and I recently bought a home that is two levels.  You enter on the first floor and the…read morelower level is partially under ground with walk off porches on both levels.  Because of this design there is a basement/crawl space under the front 1/3 of the home.  The rest of the lower level is finished with two bedrooms and a bonus room.  While viewing the home and during the final inspection the characteristic basement smell hit your nose about half way down the stairs.  The MBR bath and laundry room is also over the crawl space and the cabinets in these areas smelled very musty as well. Because this space is about 1500 sq feet with about a 7" ceiling it is perfect for storage.  The prior residents had installed some type of plastic sheeting on the floors and walls and there was a dehumidifier that needed to be emptied daily.  The space just felt dirty and smelled so I knew that I wouldn't put anything in there the way it was. Prior to even closing on the house I started researching the problem and looking for solutions.  I watched many videos and did quite a bit of reading on the subject before deciding to request an estimate from AFS. I will say that the experience with AFS has so far been top notch from beginning to end.  Within a day I received a phone call and was able to explain a little more what I was looking for.  We agreed on a date for the appraisal.  Prior to the appraisal we received a package in the mail about crawl space science, which also included a letter from the Inspector with his picture. Our Inspector was Devin.  He did a fantastic job explaining the products that were used.  He was very personable and most of all I don't think he tried to oversell us.  I'm by no means an expert but by this time I had spent quite a bit of time in our crawl space observing what was going on down there and on the internet and had a fairly decent idea of what I thought we needed.  Devin did an excellent job of closing the deal and making us feel comfortable that we were making the right decisions.  We ended up going with the Clean Space barrier, the Drainage Matting, Silver Glow insulation for the exterior walls, and the Aprilaire dehumidifier.  Because we just closed money was tight so we went with the 5 year financing which was really easy and we were approved that same evening. Our installation crew was led by Chuck and they were really great.  All three of the guys were very personable and polite and we felt comfortable with them in the house for the day.  The job was originally supposed to take two days but they worked a little late and were able to finish it in one.  I really can't say enough about the demeanor all three of them had, they just seemed like really good guys that were there to work hard and do a good job. Now onto the results.  The installation was done on a Tuesday.  By Wednesday the smell in the stairs was cut in about half and you could already tell the difference when you opened the cabinets that previously smelled musty.  It's now Sunday and I no longer smell anything when going down the stairs and both my wife and I agree that the smell in the cabinets is completely gone.  I have spent some time in the crawl space storing boxes and also just generally seeing how it looks down there.  It's pretty awesome.  I's been chilly and the crawl space has actually been a little more comfortable than the rest of the house.  The appearance is great as well.  The Clean Space really brightens the area up and with the Silver Glow on the walls it just feels clean and makes you want to store stuff in there.  The dehumidifier has kept the RH constant and the small pump is making it so I am no longer emptying anything every day.  We are just very happy with the whole experience.  It feels like this was the final touch to a house that we already loved and makes us feel like we can now actually use all of the spaces in it.

My parents had a representative come out and give them a quote to have their crawl space…read moreencapsulated. Unfortunately, the work was done so poorly that my dad has had to get back under the house himself to retape the seams since they left. They also installed a crawl-space door that was so tight that my parents are having a difficult time getting in and out of it--and they are not large people. The dehumidifier was another issue. It wasn't level, and the pipe was attached incorrectly, causing water to pour out into the crawl space. My dad called the company, but they couldn't come out for several days. In the meantime, his crawl space would have had standing water if he hadn't gotten under there himself, corrected the issues with the dehumidifier, and cleaned up the water. Later on, an inspector came out and realized they hadn't installed the correct vent on the dehumidifier and that it hadn't been wrapped properly. He said he would bring back what was needed to fix it, but he has never returned. And that's not even the end of it. There have been numerous other issues, including them taping over dirty seams, which caused the tape to not adhere properly, along with a whole host of other problems. My dad contracted this company because he genuinely believed he was getting the best of the best. Instead, he feels like he was misled over and over again about the materials that would be used and the process that would be followed. He has been incredibly disappointed. At this point, it feels like they took his money and left him with a crawl-space encapsulation that is far from the professional job he was promised. When you're spending that kind of money on your home, you shouldn't have to crawl underneath it yourself to fix the work you're paying a professional company to do.

In 50+ years of homeownership I have never encountered a worse company than BDry. We paid them over…read moreten thousand dollars to encapsulate our crawlspace and $200 per year for three years to inspect it to be sure it was still in good waterproofed condition. Because I'm not able to crawl under the house to check their work, it was not until we had a leak in the kitchen and a water remediation company was called that I learned the truth. They took pictures of gaping holes in the plastic encapsulation with whole sections of wall that had no plastic. The plastic was just laid up next to the concrete block so that any moisture from the dirt below just traveled up the wall back into the crawlspace. BDry had cut a hole in the plastic encapsulation and dumped the water from the dehumidifier under the plastic onto the dirt below instead of putting in the sump pump we paid for. Probably because the sump pump was buried only 2 inches in the ground instead of being flush with the dirt. I doubt it worked at all. I could go on for pages but, hopefully, you get the idea. I have never felt so scammed by a company. We gave BDry a chance to fix the problems but they only added a few extra pieces of plastic and still left the dehumidifier dumping water into a hole they cut in the plastic. They did replace the broken dehumidifier because it was guaranteed. But because damp air kept recirculating round and round under the house I suppose it would've broken again pretty quickly. We only asked BDry for a refund of $600 for three years of yearly service to inspect for problems. To date they have not paid us. We had to hire another company to completely rework our crawl space. If someone had taken the time to write about their negative experience with BDry I never would've hired them and saved myself A LOT of money and heartache. Don't just walk away from BDry-RUN!!!
