I'll be really short. This place is ridiculously expensive. A small shake using a card was $7.23. Plus I didn't realize I could get a shake and my hair braided all at the same time. Was just at this location. Ordered 3 burgers with added bacon and onion rings. Another normal burger, plain hot dog and dipped cone. We were charged extra for the added bacon and onion rings. This place already expensive but we didn't even receive the simple order correct. The cashier in the drive thru, Minerva, even confirmed the order with us and was still incorrect. Get home to eat the food and the order was wrong plus the food wasn't even good quality. Service is not good. They should update hours. came at 10:20pm on saturday says on yelp and maps they are open until 11pm. Sign and light signs said open as well. I understand coming late is unfortunate for them but at least they should be nicer in the way they explain things to customers. read more

I ordered a CHOCOLATE strawberry cheesecake twister and was given a strawberry cheesecake twister I took a bite or two before realizing there was no chocolate I then mixed it to make sure it wasn't just all on the bottom. When I went up to get it fixed the lady asked if I had eaten it I said a bite then she went to the back had a conversation with someone came back and told me she could "add" the chocolate cone dip but it would cost a dollar, to which I said even though that's what I ordered, she said yea. How hard is it to get a twister right and why am I having to pay for their mistake? Will not be going back for that price and the drive I made to order from there I can get the correct order and not have to pay for it to be fixed elsewhere. read more

How many employees does it take to get a order for 3 people correct in person? The answer at this place is more than they had working apparently. I walked in and ordered 3 of the specials, burgers, fries and a drink and asked to have them increased to large. I also ordered a chocolate shake on the side. The order took a half an hour with no one ahead of me in line. It was as if they lost my order and I had to show them my receipt to remind them I had ordered. Foster Freeze has been apart of Ceres for years and one of our favorites. Since it has been taken over by different owners the customer service is horrible!!! The girls working there are rude act like you are bothering them if they have to take your order. Also all the nose piercing are so distracting and disgusting that it's hard to even order. Hopefully owners will take the attitudes of the employees down a notch or we will be going elsewhere. read more

Customer service sucks! How do you mess up on an ice cream parfait? They have pictures on what it looks like! I ordered a Hot Fudge Oreo parfait. They only put fudge on the bottom when and not on top. So I asked for more fudge to put on top. She literally gives me a drizzle. I tell them I want a refund so they send someone else to help me and explain that it's wrong. Not once did they offer to make it right! So yes I want a full refund especially since I wasn't happy nor did I touch it. Very poor customer service. NOT HAVE AGAIN: They don't know how to make a chocolate shake, which they make using half vanilla and half chocolate soft serve ice cream. Most Fosters Freeze restaurants know that a chocolate shake is made with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. So, I asked them to make it that way, the old-fashioned way, which they did. I recommend this establishment, the ice cream is so delicious, twisters are the favorite. They honestly have a good vibe and always have kind and nice employees. Today I passed by and got an ice cream cone and a burger, I suffer from HBP and the burger made it go higher. But honestly it's worth it! But if you have high blood pressure don't consume the burgers, they are insultingly good like a mountain of flavors honestly good but really made my preasure go up would recommend at least trying a burger from this establishment once but the ice cream is a must have while stopping at this place read more

After months, this is my first visit to any Fosters Freeze location. Since it's no longer hot outside, that makes total sense, doesn't it? Ice cream didn't matter that much to me because I usually buy something for home. I've wanted to try the food, and I've been so close in some many areas, and I somehow didn't visit. They have various burgers, many of them large, due to doubles. My buddy and I each got the smallest cheeseburgers possible, in combo meals. I also got the grilled jalapeños for an extra $0.60. It was about $14.00 for everything. That's equivalent to Sonic or even Carl's Jr. It seemed a bit expensive but not horrible. After ordering and paying, I went to the rest room. Just as I returned to the small dining room, they called our number. The food was good but not great, and I would return easily. There is one next to Japantown in San Jose and if you're there too late for lunch, you'll find the Japanese restaurants closed, so Fosters Freeze will be useful. They could clean up and fix up at this location, but they were reasonably friendly and it was worthwhile to visit. They really need a better dining room, but I'm betting it's packed regardless. read more

This is probably one of the worst Foster Freeze locations I have been to. Do you want your order correct.? I do... I visited this location on 6 occasions during a two week period with some out of towners and our order was 50/50. We all ordered Icecream off of their picture menu during each visit. I recently moved to Ceres and it's great to know I have an awesome place to stop by for burgers, fries, shakes, ice cream, burritos and all the above haha. I found out that this is a family owned location like many others so each one is ran a little differently. Foster freeze locations are near and far. I was pleased by the great customer service that was given to me and the small gesture made to a family that was trying to figure out who's item belonged to who (worker came to the lobby and made sure the family was okay before going about his daily business). What did I get!?! Old fashioned with all the fixings, fries AND onion rings with request for chili and cheese on them lol. Old fashioned was great. The Patty was good nicely and it was definitely juicy vs dry. The veggies were fresh and over all it had that homemade feel. I'm glad I didn't order a double like I originally anticipated. The onion rings were cooked nicely but it didn't pair well with the chile cheese. I think the onion rings would be better left alone, next time I'll do chile cheese fries . The fries were thick, tasty, crinkle cut, crispy on the outside and soft inside. Definitely give them a try if you haven't been. There's a little something for everyone. I've always enjoyed this shrinking chain of restaurants, and this location in particular. My food has always been hot and freshly made, service always fast and friendly. Additionally this place gets my orders correct, very seldom is anything wrong. While this isn't the healthiest food around by a long shot, this place is like a guilty pleasure from my childhood. Asked for sweet and low sugar, told there was none only later to be offered a packet out of a large jar of sweet and low packets, and couldn't get a receipt as machine was not working. Service has deteriorated they told me no manager or supervisor was on site. They Said they Do not do leticice wraps (even though o got it last time less than a month ago) I called Tracy Merced Modesto stores (on speaker) next to the drive threw window, and each store said they all said they DO do lettuce wraps. They also upscaled dour order when we asked them not too. I asked them why they don't do lettuce wraps and every other store in the franchise does? they wouldn't speak.... they also only mixed one of the two large freezes they upscaled...... will not be back any time soon. read more

Horrible service. I asked for waffle fries instead of crinkle cut fries. Instead of just switching them out, I get charged for an extra fry. Then the fries come out and there's maybe 4 waffles fries and the rest are regular! The lady was so irritated too. Extremely unprofessional and poor customer service. read more
