I took the class two weeks ago and we did not even open the book one time we did not use the book at all for anything during the course. I asked the instructor for the class Why did they make us buy this book if we weren't going use it she did not have an answer for me so I am putting this review out don't buy the book you don't need the book just pay for the class!!! I feel like buying the book is a Moneygrab!!!! and that's really really unfortunate that they would do that. The class is expensive enough as it is.

LifeSaver CPR/Cascade Training Solutions…read more. I've had classes with you guys many times over the years. The Instructor's are always good but the classes seem blah. Today was different though. Holly was so knowledgeable and explained things in such detail. I am usually in class every two years because I have to be, I don't interact. Holly made class interesting and fun. Her personality is bubbly, she's funny I couldn't help but blurt out all the answers because she was so on it with her explanations and visuals. I mentioned to her after class that she was honestly the best instructor ever. Pretty much the whole class agreed. I've wanted to take ACLS and PALS but dreaded the blah of it all and doubted that I would even retain the smallest bit of information. I plan on signing up now, looking forward to learning from Holly. Cascade you outdid yourselves hiring this amazing Soldier Medic! Go Army! Thanks again Holly, you made my day! Never left the Hilton bragging about how amazing my BLS course was until today. Please don't ever leave- and Thank you for your service. 68W's Rock!

I regret wasting my time and money on Safety Training Seminars, and don't waste your time here!…read moreTheir slick website advertised a full AHA Heartsaver CPR & First Aid course, complete with same-day eCards, student discounts, and a Low Price Guarantee--but this turned out to be false advertising. As a college student, I believed I was registering and paying for the AHA-certified course. I completed the online modules and in-person skills test only to discover I'd been actually switched and enrolled in a generic "STS CPR & First-Aid" class--not the promised AHA Heartsaver course. Then came the gut punch: they wanted an extra $40 for the exact AHA certification I thought I'd already purchased. It felt like a textbook bait-and-switch. What's worse, their checkout process did not clearly communicate there would be a hidden add-on. Everything suggested the full AHA package was included. Their deceptive tactics ruined what should have been a simple and transparent process. The lack of transparency is downright unfair and unprofessional. That said, I must give credit where it's due: their team refunded my initial payment, and Danielle from customer service was at least pleasant and responsive. But being nice doesn't excuse their misleading practices. If I'm going to trust a CPR training center, I expect honesty--especially when it's advertised so prominently on their site. If you need the legitimate AHA Heartsaver CPR & First Aid certification, PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF and go ANYWHERE else. Safety Training Seminars' misleading marketing and hidden fees cost me both time and peace of mind. I can't imagine recommending them to anyone

I received 2 forms on 2/27 which were 97% completed; however, we had a family emergency and had to call 911 for an ambulance so I was spread thin. On Friday, March 6th, I received a follow-up call from Corinne, and I sincerely apologized to her as I was at the hospital saying my goodbyes as the patient felt like they were about to passaway that day, and Corinne told me "well this is your final follow-up. If we don't have the forms by Monday, 3/9, you'll have to find another provider. I WAS ONLY DELAYED BY 5 BUSINESS DAYS?! No empathy whatsoever from a care service. I'm happy to look elsewhere if that's how you treat people needing help.

HOWEVER, (and I hope someone from the company sees this) the onboarding process to work for this company is an absolute NIGHTMARE -- and it doesn't have to be. The way it's been laid out is totally backwards and I have been onboarding for FIVE WEEKS!! AND IM STILL NOT DONE!! It's 100% garbage, throw it away and start over. Don't make families wait for care. Create a system that doesn't make people pay out of pocket, miss work, drive hours out of the way, call and email numerous times to elicit and response. Do better.

I took the Clinical Medical Assisting Class offered by CalRegional also known as HarperRand…read moreCalRegional. It was $2,995, for 8 weeks, in person 9AM-1PM. Textbook not included (I have a physical MA Textbook available for sale for this class, if anyone wants to buy it off of me lmao! Not kidding either!) Navy Blue scrubs only is the uniform color you'll need for the class. My instructor was Ms Nina, although we were able to meet and be taught by the then, CalRegional Manager but now Instructor again, Melony for our class for a few days. Melony is a great instructor for the few days we had her. She taught us a lot. She is also very approachable and it was easy to get ahold of her. She was always responsive when I needed to get in contact with her towards the end of my class when she was placing me for my Externship. I was actually very lucky to be apart of the last of her students she placed for Externship before she stepped down as manager and became an Instructor again. Now Kathi is the current CalRegional manager. Let's get back to my class, as I said my Instructor was Ms Nina and I can't say enough good about her. She is the best! She's honest and open, her teaching methods are very hands on. She's funny as hell and super relatable too! She gave us a lot of insight on what to expect in the real world and couldn't stress safety enough! Our class was small, but made the learning experience all the more better. She taught us all so well and really made the time to help each one of us to be successful and absorb and understand what she was teaching us. Healthcare and the world in general need more people like Ms Nina! Thanks to her, I scored so well on my AMCA Exam and feel more confident than ever in my ability to be an amazing CMA. Note for future students: get all your prerequisites in by the first week! (Except for the drug test obviously, but at least pay for it and upload your receipt) Don't wait until midterm. Get it done by the first or second week. That way when it comes time for Kathi to place you at your externship, you can get placed sooner rather than later. I did all my pre reqs by the first week and got my externship start date for 3 days after my last day of class. If you wait til last minute to upload all your pre reqs and you'll end up being placed at externship later, because CalRegional technically has up to 60 days to place you. Also, pay your tuition in full so that way once you finish your externship and email your booklet to CalRegional you can immediately get your Certificate! If not, you don't receive it until you're paid in full.
