I typically spend between $10 - $20 for excellent tops, which are perfect for the business-casual office I work in. They have great sales on the regular priced items as well, 50% off jackets, 40% off sweaters, 30% off dresses, etc etc. The sales staff vary - they are usually very helpful (sometimes too attentive), but on the odd occasion I've never even received so much as a hello. I have tried for months to find just regular pants I can wear to work without having difficulty sitting down/breathing. With the exception of Sears, I've been SOL. Until I finally tried Cleo. My wife and I have been married for 35 years, and took her diamond engagement ring in to have the…read moreclaws replaced.  It was one of the most demeaning retail experiences I have ever had. I will probably remember being insulted in this People's store for my whole life. Maybe this feedback will help the franchise owner and store staff to improve their policies and treat customers better. I also spoke to People's corporate customer service, which is now at a US head office in Texas and Ohio. We had a friendly chat with the sales person, who said the claws on the diamond are worn and need to be sent in to be replaced.  Then she asked how much I paid for the ring.  I said I didn't know because it was 35 years ago. I was also aware that this is a gift, and the recipient of the gift is there too.  It was not appropriate, which I tried to explain without much success.  The store manager got involved and tried to "help" by saying that the ring was probably only worth $400 or $500, but that they could put a (slightly) higher value if I wished.  I said yes, but that just made it worse. Buying an engagement ring was one of the most important days of my life, and is for many people.  But the People's staff trivialized the process, and seemed to be trying to get the ring valuation as low as possible (in case it was lost).  I asked them if they even have any diamond engagement rings in the store costing in the range they were suggesting.  That prompted them to try to find the cheapest ring they had, which just escalated the situation.   The store policy should be to say they are putting a value on the ring for shipping insurance, but they know the ring may be more valuable or have higher personal value. (I don't care what they put down for any internal shipping that they need to do.) When I made the purchase at around age 19, it was the second-largest purchase I had made in my life, after my first car.  I think the ring cost about 1/3 the cost of that car, which I needed to take a loan for. And $1 in 1981 is not worth less now;  it would probably cost at least twice as much in 2018 dollars for the equivalent value.  But the flippant way they said the engagement ring is "only worth $400 or $500" made it comparable to one trip to the grocery store or Costco now. They also did not account for the quality of the stone. Rather than demean your customer and ask an illogical question about the value from 35 years ago (as if I would even remember, and as if the value in 1980s dollars can even be used now) -- wouldn't it be better for them just to set a value for shipping based on their expertise with the value?  Clearly they knew the value, because they went to great lengths to try to demonstrate how little our ring was worth. The whole process was insulting and demeaning.  It was unnecessary, and didn't even make sense;  Peoples should have a policy to just use a reasonable value for the shipping, based on current values and what the store personnel recommend.  But I don't want to be insulted about something that my wife has worn every day for decades, and I don't want my wife to feel that was cheap.  It was a huge investment at the time. Peoples Jewellers in Canada and Zales in the US spends a lot of money promoting the value of life events like getting engaged.  So to be fundamentally insulted like this about a purchase from 35 years ago is bad for their brand and reputation. They tried to save a few bucks on shipping insurance, at the cost of permanently losing a customer and all of our family's purchases for the future.  As a customer, I should never leave a store feeling like I was just assaulted.  Or insulted.  Trying to low-ball you on the value because of shipping insurance is not respectful to customers, and could be handled a lot better.  Why should there ever be a discussion about the value of a gift in front of the recipient?  Totally unnecessary.  Demeaning, for both me and the bride.

I only popped 7%, which I believe is the least amount you're guaranteed, but was pleased with this nonetheless. The staff associate informed us that they'd be having another balloon event in the near future with the next Mall Midnight Madness. Overall, a pleasant and fun experience.

My black patten wedges which is now going on their third summer look like new. John David shoes has been around for sometime and specializes in high quality high fashions shoes. From flats to those stilettos that will make any ones head turn to Gladiators. Funny I was with my BFF yesterday and we were looking through the window like I kid at Disneyland would saying I want those and those. We are going back today look out.

Not that I have anything against that look, some people can really pull it off. But it's not for me. The shoe pricing was still pretty expensive, even though there was a %50 off sale. I couldn't imagine seeing the actually cost of those shoes. I'm probably just jealous that I can't afford them though. I guess a lot of people can because the store was pretty full of women. In fact, there wasn't an open seat to try anything on because there were so many people in there. There was one really nice salesguy that I encountered. I was looking at some flats and he came over and told me that most of them had a built-in gel cushions or insoles. He took a moment to show me what he meant, then smiled and walked to someone else. I loved that he didn't stick around by my side and shop with me, much like some other salespeople might. It was just a nice experience that I thought I'd share with you.

Ordered a shirt online and was given an anticipated delivery date of August 6. I also queried why the discount had changed from 20 to 25% in less than 24 hours and did they honour that. All said and done seems the shirt was finally sent and is being delivered since my query and no recognition of the additional discount but no problems with a $15 delivery fee and a false arrival date. I am not sure it would be on the way now if I had not complained. Won't shop or recommend online shopping from them
