Came for ACL Rehab... Now I Actually Enjoy Exercise…read more I came to Evolution Physical Therapy and Personal Training in Norwalk for ACL rehab... and somehow ended up becoming a person who actually enjoys exercise. I first started with ACL prehab before surgery, and then returned for post-operative ACL rehabilitation. What immediately stood out about Evolution is the true one-on-one care. Your therapist is focused entirely on you - your injury, your progress, and helping you get back to living your life. Working with Nick helped rebuild my leg strength far beyond what I expected. Somewhere along the way I realized I wasn't just recovering from an ACL injury, I was actually getting stronger overall. So yes... the person who once described herself as allergic to exercise somehow ended up continuing with personal training at Evolution. Nick has a rare ability to meet you exactly where you are and help you get stronger from there. After months of working with the team, the progress has been incredible. I'm stronger, more mobile, and more confident than I've been in years. Choosing Evolution was one of the best decisions I made during my recovery. One of the things I really appreciate about this clinic is the environment. During sessions I see people recovering from all kinds of injuries and conditions, and watching their progress is genuinely inspiring. I also see a lot of people coming in with knee injuries and sports-related injuries, and it's amazing to watch them get stronger week by week. It's clear the therapists here are specialists who know how to guide people through recovery and back to living fully. The whole team is knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely fun to be around. They care about helping you heal, but also about helping you stay strong long after recovery. If you live in nearby towns like Westport, Weston, or Stamford (really anyone in Fairfield County), Evolution in Norwalk is absolutely worth the short drive. What started as injury rehab turned into something much bigger for me.

My name is Karin Quinlan and I have been a patient at INNOVATIVE for four months after my cat…read moreswatted me and I fell on the floor and fractured my shoulder severely, and I write to tell you what an awesome job your team has done for me, and that even though I have a way to go to recover, I have already come a long way with the pain and healing, thanks to the great therapists and staff that I am working with at your organization. My lead therapist is Alexander Torres who is an exceptionally bright and very kind young man. My parents were both physicians and they taught me a lot about medical care, and Alex possesses so many of the crucial qualities a great doctor should have, which makes him an outstanding example of the BEST in his work. INNOVATIVE is truly blessed to have him as therapist, leader and a friend on their wonderful team. Another therapist, Nick Guarcello, an associate with Alex, has also worked hard to improve my condition and his medical knowledge and kind, cheerful personality have been essential in my progress. Also, Andrew DeFranco, an aide to Alex is an energetic, intelligent young man who has been available and has done a great job working on my issues. And last but not least, Christine, the sweet, very helpful receptionist is a great, very pretty asset to the image of your company. I am moving to Austin, Texas tomorrow which is a difficult change, but necessary for me, and I will truly miss INNOVATIVE and I just had to thank you and your team for your attention, expertise and medical wisdom and if I return to this area some day, I will be there right away. Best of luck, great success, and much love to you and your outstanding company and its members.

The whole process far exceeded my expectations, as I am 76, and did not know how it was all going to end up. My strength and range of motion is almost back to where it was before my injury. Everyone at Innovative is very professional and cannot speak highly enough about Ralph and all of his team.

They are both EXCELLENT; they bring a great deal of knowledge, humor, and keep my workouts challenging and interesting. I lost weight, feel stronger than ever, and ran my first 5k race thanks to another great trainer Dave K (I am not a natural born runner). The entire staff is very friendly and professional. This is the top-notch place for an injury and performance training.

But charged for the full hour under the senior therapist. Prior to starting, I had requested on several occasions statement/bills for services I had since I was out of network and wanted to pay as I go so as to not rack up a huge bill at the end. I had done this through email with the administration and with the front desk. I was informed that statements/bills were issued at the end of the month. I also was asked for a credit card too. Next thing I know, my credit card is charged and I have no bill of service. Supposedly, my account stated that I requested no bill or statement. Patently incorrect. Long story short, I was disappointed with the business model and to some extent the care I was given at Performance Optimal.

Review of Amanda Kaslowitz…read more I have worked with Amanda Kaslowitz from time to time over the last three or four years. I have chronic back problems for which I had spinal fusion surgery. The surgery was successful, but every so often the parts of my back which did not have the surgery act up, so I go to Amanda for PT. She also helped me when I threw my shoulder out after I heaved a heavy suitcase like it was a shot put (not a good idea). If you have been to other physical therapy practices, you are probably used to the routine. The therapist works with you for a while, then they hook you up to an electric stimulus machine and go work with another patient. Or they put a hot towel on you. And then the session is over. Working with Amanda and her colleagues at CT Family Physical Therapy is not like that. She works with you and on you for the whole session. She watches while you do the exercises and makes sure that you are doing them correctly. And if you get used to doing those exercises, she gives you harder exercises. What I find is that Amanda is unfailingly focused, engaged and upbeat. Even if I am not. Because, as she will tell you, you can and will get better. So that's my review of Amanda Kaslowitz. Steven B

The short review is; simply the best care you can get anywhere around. Always one on one and always…read morefrom highly qualified and caring Physical Therapists. They have a prestigious HSS affiliation and are trained to use many unique and effective techniques such as the Graston. When someone in our house gets an injury and PT is required this is the only place we consider, even though it tough for us to get to based on where we live and where the kids go to school. This place and its people are worth every penny and any extra effort to get to. Three in our household have had multiple injuries and always have had super positive experiences. We have received care from four of their providers and it's been consistently awesome. Long review... I have had many sports injuries after turning 40 and before I found this place I had a very negative view of physical therapy in general. All the other places were big PT mills. At those places I was lucky if I saw my practitioner more than 1/2 the time I was there. The majority of the time I was there they would bounce between multiple other patients. It was a waste of money and more importantly a waste of my time. The first injury I came to CT family PT for was a serious grade 3 sprain. The Connecticut Family physical therapy and the provider completely changed my view of physical therapy and it's benefits. I am very grateful for the improved quality of life changes and increased athletic performance after my experiences with CT Family PT. Progress seemed slow at first but the provider had a plan and was constantly adjusting and challenging me as my healing progressed. Also, he integrated in his plan treatments and exercises to address deficiencies in my mechanics that contributed to the injury. Before long I was back better than before. I play soccer in an over 40 Sunday league but also play pickup during the week one or two additional times if time allows. We play hard and play 20 something year old kids and invariably I push myself into the red zone and injure something. I have had multiple injuries since the ankle sprain but two were significant and multiple orthopedic surgeons were strongly recommending surgery. Providers at Ct family physical therapy worked with me and like my first experience; they came up with a plan and were able to get me back on the field as good or better than before. Following my positive experiences my two children have used this practice multiple times. My Daughter plays ECNL soccer and is a multisport varsity athlete, my son plays for an MLS soccer academy. Both have received care for various ankle and knee injuries and the care has always been excellent. This is a small practice with a warm caring atmosphere, you won't see some giant gym-like common area. This practice is all about individual care. There are private rooms for each of the practitioners and a small common area with plenty of equipment and space for movement based therapy. Tara is a supervisor there and is a excellent Phyiscal therapist and helped me through my most complex injury. She also has a nack for surrounding her self with other really motivated and skilled Physical therapist.
