I'm excited to meet my next mentor in the network of wonderfully nice and warm individuals at the SBDC. The ambiance was really nice (dim lights, beautiful paintings around) and overall had a very welcoming and comfortable feeling while still feeling upscale. By design, there were only 7 people in attendance at the tasting to promote a more intimate experience; which really added to the overall experience. I learned a lot about not only the actual wine we were tasting, but also about food pairings and good general wine tips. I really loved how the tasting/class was very interactive and conversational (yet structured) versus being talked at (or not talked to at all), as I have at other tastings. Overall, the tasting was a very thought out and well planned experience that I really enjoyed and really recommend! I went with some friends (and made new ones!), but would definitely come again as an outing for a date or would make a perfect girls night out! The wines and charcuterie presented were really good and varied a lot. I even found 2 new wines that I love! I am looking forward to taking one of the advanced speciality courses to learn more and have another fun night!
