I decided to give Engine Supply a try after my previous engine developed a major oil consumption…read moreafter a rebuild. I have yet to disassemble and determine the cause on that engine. I needed some cylinder head refresh work done on a replacement engine and took my head here. It's for a bmw s54 engine. I understand Engine supply does a lot of domestic work but will also do European and Japanese engines. After speaking with one of the guys, I found out that it's a family owned and operated company. The guys are definitely knowledgeable. The cylinder was picked up and was in great clean condition as expected by a good machine shop. What impressed me was they took me to the back to show my cylinder head during assembly when I dropped off my valve seals. The shop is well organized and clean. When I picked up the cylinder head, the Machinist who worked on my cylinder head also mentioned that the valves were returned in the exact order it was removed, which makes putting the shims I removed back it the same order easier to adjust the valve clearance on assembly. The cylinder head was assembled back into the used block. And is now running in the car without any oil consumption. It has done multiple track days without issue. I was told my backdrop couldn't be done in two days, I was told that my image's resolution was too small, and other printing shops never responded. Z from RedDot Printing responds within minutes. He told me the same thing about my backdrop's resolution being to low for a huge printout, but what set him apart was that he took the time send me an email on how fix it so that he can print it. Once I fixed the image with his advice he said, "I can get that done in two days." and he delivered! I placed the order midday on a Wednesday and it was ready for pickup by 2:00PM on Friday. Pick up was seamless. He knew exactly who I was without introducing myself, he was friendly, full of personality, and so sweet. He unrolled the backdrop to show me his work and it was PERFECT! His price was cheaper than I imagined especially since this was a last minute request. I knew that I placed this order last minute and I knew I was an amateur with the design, but Z made my vision into reality. Z, thank you so much for everything. Your work is impeccable! Printed. I designed them on Canva, but needed them printed (like real trading cards). I called Z and from the first phone call, he was pleasantly helpful. After a couple of back and forth emails, he had them off to print. I picked up within a week of our first conversation and was blown away at the final product. Exceeding my expectations, truly. Z was able to help me make each of our 12 players their own card, which I then packaged as a team set and gave each player within a homemade/DIY sleeve. I have been screwed over BIG TIME by "marketing" experts in the past. From branding, videography, and social media work, it's not been a fun ride for my business.
