**Updated review ** It's been awhile since I've had these "nubs" (nails) and "stubs" (toes) done and decided to treat myself. Today was a gloomy day and a perfect day to relax, unwind and get pampered. The hot stone massage was worth getting out of bed for and everything else was just decent. There were a few instances where I asked for a touch up, because of missed brush strokes. The nail tech seemed irritated, as if I should be OK to leave my nails halfway polished. If I'm paying $50, I want my nails polished RIGHT and without attitude. __ IG: @f.hux I #yelp and I know things. Keep reading... https://linktr.ee/f.hux #foodieHUX #yelpelite #yelpeatsdc #yelpdc

Left hand

I showed up an hour early for my appointment. My service was rushed, even when I had to switch nail tech midway through the service asked for ballerina I didn't like their interpretation of the shape which was a very thin coffin shape. The nails are starting to lift on the nail plate on the edge, some of the nails are cracking. All of my nails are a different shape. I would not recommend it even though I only paid $50. I don't feel it was worth it.

What I wanted vs what got

The salon had gone down hill has a new owner only 2-3 workers an the work quality has gone down pedicures are raised an rushed no one do design not sure if I'll be back right now an what wanted vs what I got this need to change

This is right after a pedicure

DO NOT GO HERE. This is as basic and no frills as it gets. No packages to choose from for a pedicure. No massage. No nothing. The pedicure looks like it was done by a disabled toddler and my feet are just as dry and calloused as when I went in. Will never return.

This has been my new spot for the past month and I love it, the staff are very nice & professional and the salon itself is very cozy.

Mr. John has done it again! He always sends me out the door with my nails looking fabulous! I absolutely love my them! Received compliments all day yesterday.

Nails

I called ahead of time to see if this salon used IBD liquid gel builder BEFORE I scheduled an appointment. The lady said yes. I repeated and she confirmed. So I made an appointment for this morning. John worked on my nails. After he'd filed them down he pulls out a nail polish bottle of base coat. I said what are you doing? He says it's ok. You should always use a base coat. I reiterated-I'm here for the IBD gel builder. He says yes yes gel builder. I should've asked to see the IBD jar but-I'm a trusting person and take people at their word. So then he gets this tube of something called TPA. He says you'll like. It's hybrid gel. It's the same thing. Now PISSED because 1-my nails are all filed down & 2-I've been using IBD gel builder only on my nails for the last 15 years. I let him finish because finding a place that used the IBD is difficult and my nails are at a weaken state because they've been filed down. I asked him how long does this last. He said 3-4 weeks. I'm irritated because he didn't ask me first before using a product on my nails that I didn't ask for. That was not good customer service. My nails look pretty-but if they don't last it's for naught. I'll update my review in 4 weeks. Be honest Forum. You limited my options to say no to this product that was NOT what I asked for.

Nails by Ricky

I have been getting my nails done here faithfully since moving to Waldorf in 2018. All of the nail techs do an excellent job. My favorites are Ricky and Dawn, but I trust everyone in the shop to do my nails. That's how good they all are. I'm normally pretty plain when it comes to my nails, but Ricky always gets me to try something different and I'm never disappointed!

Super cute sparkly nails with the dipping powder

Only reason for 4 stars is because it's my first time here. If sane results and service for next visits. I will surely increase.......... staff really cool and friendly. Off of Leonard town road across from Sheriff office (yup I feel good bout that). Next to hip hop chicken Plenty of parking lots of colors and once again really nice staff. I enjoyed coming here today and will be back. Still coming here, staff always great, you will find lots of regulars here.

Stumbled upon this place and was in dire need of a fill in and pedicure. I arrived at 10am but they weren't open so I waited which was fine. There open light sign came on around 10:20 so I walked in (without an appointment). On first inspection (before thinking if I should walk out or not) I noticed how clean the place look and how nice of a color selection they had. I was greeted by Tracy and she said good morning (which a lot of places don't even greet you with) and asked what I would like today. I told her I would like a fill in with gel polish and a pedicure. She said I can pick my color from their color wheel attached to the reception desk. I chose their perfect match color in #10 red. Tracy was a sweet heart. She offered me something to drink which was either water or a soda. I chose water. After providing me my drink she started my nails and I am super please with the finish. She took her time and made sure the shape was to my liking. She also took the time to get to know me as a customer to see what I like and when she was speaking to another worker in their native language she was translating for me which was courteous and thoughtful. (Ladies you know how some of them be lol) Next my pedicure done by Lisa! They have a variety of different pedicures you can choose from. I chose the deluxe. The area was very clean and they have an option if you want privacy they would close the curtains. Lisa took her time and made the experience well worth it. The prices for services are higher than your normal mill nail salon but you do get a lot for what you are paying for. Overall I am completely satisfied with the outcome of my nails and toes and extremely please with this establishment and will be back .

Dip nails

This is great nail salon. My Gel manicure lasted for 3 weeks. The privacy and ambiance is relaxing. Especially, after a long day at work.

Waldorf yall did it to me again! This was posted on Monday, April 27, 2026 at around noon…read more I just paid $59 plus a lil tip (because I'm not a monster) for the most basic azz, botched pedicure of my life! Her name was Brenda and she's been working at the shop for about a year and she also works at Longhorn in the area. She was nice and all yall but she basically tickled my feet and gave me one of the worse paint job I've ever experienced. I have a question WALDORF, how do you all give this place almost 4 stars for work like this?! I don't like to post my feet unless I'm getting paid but I had to make an exception because what? I went in with the intent to get a pedicure and gel nail but when I'm somewhere new, I start with seeing how they do on my pedicure first. This was a Spanish speaking shop across from a Spanish Market and next door to a liquor store which is neither here nor there but for informational purposes only. Listen, it was quiet (went on a Monday around 11:30am) and the ladies seemed super sweet but yall.... I'm sure she has no idea how displeased but b/c I'd rather receive mediocre service than gripe and complain I just grinned and bared it. I'm no Karen okay! But yall It's only remotely not that bad only because it's gel. I mean how much can you mess that up, right! But yall, it was way too costly for how sloppy the work and just not worth it. I did the basic gel pedicure with paraffin. Something I don't do often. I selected a light or Barbie pink color but I changed it because she was having so much trouble finding my color choice. Here is all she did wrong: 1. No proper intro: hello, my name is Brenda, thank you for coming in today. Please pick your color and take a seat and I'll be right with you. 2. Too light of a touch. I actually felt like she was being funny or just really scared. 3. No gentle suggestive selling. She actually started my service w/o know my color choice and stating her English is not too good. Okay but come on! Make that money girl and don't just over charge for subpar service PLEASE!! 4. The water was very shallow and luke warm. She simply handed me a price list and did not clarify my desire of service. 5. The paint was sloppy and all on my cuticles and top of toe. I have fat, wide feet with a short, very square nail bed. So I don't require a ton of polish. I like sharp line and thin even coats. I am so sick of this! I gotta go all the way to VA for professional nail service because Waldorf girlies just can't get it right. Waldorf yall full of subpar services and I'm over it!! I'm sorry to the owner for this harsh review but I gotta be real. Consistency is key the people will pay more for that. My money is too hard earned for this foolishness. The nails are really just barely okay and that not okay. I could have saved my $65 and did it myself. ‍Never again!‍

My fave husband & wife nail team have moved on so I had to try another tech. I shared my needs & the things I'm particular about and they assigned me a tech. I opted for the deluxe pedi since my tired legs & feet could use a little more massaging & heat. It comes with callus treatment if you need it, sugar scrub, mask, & paraffin wax. My tech delivered the requested services and I was pleased. The new nail salon is larger than the old and attractive with its open layout. Check them out. Some of Escape's services are a little more expensive than local competitors but the experience makes it worth the money.

Tell me why I get to the register and my total is suddenly $80?! No explanation, no breakdown--just sitting there looking clueless like that makes it okay. And to make it worse, the quality was terrible. All I asked for was plain white toes... HOW do you mess that up? Uneven, sloppy, just rushed and careless. Definitely will not be coming back. The lemonade was nasty too--only decent thing was the fruit was fresh. Save your money and go somewhere that respects your time, your wallet, and actually does a good job.

Coco Bay Nail Bar by Vinton - Waldorf, MD I really wanted to…read morehave a good experience here, but unfortunately my visit was frustrating from start to finish. The technician was polite, but she immediately began cutting my natural nails without asking if I wanted them shortened. I had to stop her. Clients should always be consulted before altering their natural nails. During my service, the pedicure tub was left running and overflowed onto the floor. An older gentleman who had just walked in as a customer offered to help clean it up while I was sitting there soaking. That was kind of him, but it should not have happened in a professional setting. It became clear that only one technician was trying to service me and two other clients simultaneously. I was there for three hours, no joke. Eventually, her sister was called in to assist. When she arrived, she questioned the type of product on my nails and debated with me about whether it was dip powder. She also began criticizing my regular nail tech and repeatedly tried to upsell me on overlays after I explained that I naturally have thin nails. The pedicure portion felt rushed and heavy-handed toward the end. To make matters worse, when I was ready to pay, I was told they only accept Zelle or cash. There was no visible notice of this beforehand. I do not carry cash and was directed to an ATM, which charged a fee. After spending three hours there, that was extremely frustrating. Despite the overall experience, I was still asked if I wanted to add eyebrow services. I came in simply needing my nails and toes done. Instead of leaving relaxed, I left feeling stressed and inconvenienced. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.
