We worked with @chris666trash and he didn't disappoint. We met earlier in the week to let him know what we wanted, size, and location. A couple days later, we met again to see the design mockups he created and to see if we wanted to add or change anything. The day of the tattooing, Chris was great. He talked us through each step of the process, checked in to see if we needed to stretch/move (each of our tattoos took at least an hour) during the tattooing, and told us what to expect and general after care. If you're looking to get your first or your 30th tattoo, come to Black Pearl. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I was also there to get my helix down sized and Devin helped me out. Unfortunately, I'm an "in-between" size and he wasn't able to change it out right then and there. However, Devin did tell me what size I needed and where I could purchase it. Decided to follow their advice on day and timing and got in for myself and my brother with Chris. Everyone there was a gem tho. The piercer was amazing and there were so many piercing walk ins. I liked that the ppl who worked there hung out in the lobby area when not working. Nice vibe from all. Chris was my brothers dream artist in general and so getting him to do the walk in was a dream come true. Everything is super clean, affordable but fair, and wicked high quality. We both plan on coming back. It was my brothers first tattoo and he was estactic and now wants Chris to do more and will make the trip since he isn't local. I plan on the same sometime!! Great local spot and can't believe I've missed it over the years I loved it. Chris's skills are unmatched. He did say he's the only one who does hands and he did my hand fantastically and forgive the pic because they're fresh in it so obviously red and a little puffed out/fresh but trust that while writing this they healed amazing-I just don't have a new pic of both yet.

However,…read moreI had an appointment scheduled for 3:00 was texted on my way to the appointment around 2:40 that the appointment needs to be pushed to 3:30, which was ok I don't live far, when I arrived at 3:25 I was then told I was going to be rescheduled to a 2 days later with a different tattoo artist. I took a day off of work to do this so I am not happy right now. The work they had previously done for me turned out great, I just would've appreciated more of a heads up of my appointment changing, instead of using a vacation day for nothing.
