Actually, let me rephrase that...Latimers used to be a small family run fish business where you could only buy what was caught the night before but now it has expanded and you can buy a whole array of fish. Fishing just off the coast still takes place though - so don't be disheartened. You can ask which fish has been caught locally. Apart from the really friendly staff, who are extremely knowledgeable about all of their fish (including how to cook it, what would taste nice with it etc) the shop and cafe is laid out in a welcoming way. You can either buy your fish from the counter to take away or sit in and try one of their delicious platters....Look at my photo of the crab platter (which was 14 pound!!!). It was incredible.
