What a find, above expectations feom the moment I made a desperate call to Dr Zafar's office. Late…read morein the day and of course on a Friday, I found myself with a fractured toe and in a lot of pain. Urgent Care wasn't much help, they determined it was a spiral fracture and were not willing to treat. I sat in the parking lot as my daughter and I wondered where to go to get help. Dr Hammad Zafar's Office was recommended by medical professionals so I called them. Laura answered the phone and although she didn't have an opening she listened empathetically. I'm sure they get these calls all the time. I just wanted an expert opinion, make sure I didn't do anything wrong before I could see someone for treatment. I got way more than expected, Laura called back an hour later, Dr Zafar would see me. I arrived thinking I would get a consult and put my mind at ease. To my surprise Dr Zafar came in like I had a regular appt, assessed, asked questions and gave me options. He then took his time and treated me with care. I left there feeling so much better and extremely thankful. I found a wonderful doctor and medical group! Thank you Dr Zafar!!

While he successfully placed two screws in my foot, he completely failed to address or remove the remaining bone fragments. I sought out an Orthopedic surgeon and within 10 minutes he knew exactly what was wrong. Doctor Zafar didn't take out the bone fragments which was causing me great pain. I had to have another surgery do his neglect!!!!

Since December, I have had 3 small blocked bowels. I had to go to the hospital for 2 of the…read moreinstances. At my last visit to the hospital for a small blocked bowel, the attending surgeon told me he needed to see me in 10 days and that we needed to find out what keeps causing the problem. I googled him and read the Doctor's Yelp review, it was only 3 and a half stars. I'm sure he's a good Doctor, but I wanted a great and out of this world Doctor. So, I punched "small blocked bowel" into google; only one Doctor's name came up, Dr. Ghazanfari. Then I read his Yelp reviews; they were outstanding. I gave his office a call and the rest is history. He lived up to his reviews. When I showed up to his office, he had already studied my visits to the ER, and came up with a plan for me. I was to go to get a diagnostic laparoscopy. Before, I went for my laparoscopy on July 12th, Dr. Ghazanfari prepared me for the upcoming laparoscopy. He told me of the best that could happen (quick fix) or the worst outcome (tumor/taking out a section of intestine). Thankfully, it was an easy fix! I've learned that bedside manner is a good thing, but not always necessary. One of the most important things for a Doctor to have is genius or maybe intuition? I'm happy to say that Dr. Ghazanfari has both! Not only that, he has an excellent bedside manner! Sorry, I took so long. But, I'm a very sickly person with bizarre illnesses. I'm sure there are many like me out there. So I wanted to put a great, big, flashing arrow towards Dr. Ghazanfari if you have a small blocked bowel or any problem internally.

Doctor Ghazanfarri had great bedside manners. Too bad Kaylie at the front desk was rude and…read morecondescending from the get go when I called to ask if they could resubmit for reconsideration to the insurance after MRI denial. Sometimes these people forget that the common person doesn't understand all the hoops the insured jumps through and its very convoluted. When my insurance denied MRI, why was an xray not ordered first as required especially when they knew the reason it was denied and this was "in her experience " this happens. We listened to the Doc and had MRI not knowing an xray is standard requirement. Why did he not order that first? Kaylie spoke down to me and raised her voice. When I asked her to breathe and why she had tone she then turned it around and accused me of having tone and said she would end the call cuz she cant help me further. Like what kind of customer service is this?? I asked to speak to someone else and she refused saying theres only 2 people and they are busy. This is a shame because she was helpful prior to being seen. I have honestly never been treated so rude my medical staff. She sounded completely put out!

Dr. Albert Amini is a total rockstar. He's the most impressive surgeon I've ever interacted with,…read morehands down. Not only does he have a tremendous surgical record, he listens attentively and has the rare gift of being able to condense complex information into explanations that even we laypeople can digest. He was carefully deliberate and considerate even for my simple, routine surgery (appendectomy), so I cannot recommend him highly enough, if you or a loved one is ever in a complicated scenario requiring a thoughtful doctor who will be attentive and willing to take time to really *hear* you and establish a plan of action WITH you. The peace of mind he will give you will be well worth the trip to Arizona!

Dr. Albert Amini was my surgeon and recommended by a friend who recently had the same procedure. My…read morefirst appointment he explained everything well in terms of it being a laparoscopic procedure using mesh and answered my questions. Directly after the surgery, I was told there were no complications. I do still feel the screws they used to attach the mesh to my body cavity. They still cause me pain. It's 7 weeks post op and I was told they would dissolve and they definitely have not. I've gone in for a 3-4 post op appointments because they said it would be 2-3 days painful but it was more like 5-7 days of real core pain. The light duty and lifting limitations should be extended too. For any person, this is a big surgery. They try to say, "yeah people bounce back the next day..." well, that's not my experience. Kaelyn Garner has been great for questions post op too. I have another post op this Monday (11/13) so we'll see what she says about my recovery. Front desk receptionists (Janet?!) probably knows my phone number by heart because I was calling with questions from recovery, thank you. Update- 12/04/2023 When I went in for the surgery, they didn't tell me about the dissolvable screws. They said it would take about six weeks for them to dissolve, and they still have not. They caused me pain when I'm walking on my crutches as I am still nonweightbearing from my back to back surgeries, bending, during my period, or any little movement in my abdomen. I have a friend say that she didn't have to have screws put in her body after Dr Armini had to fix a hernia after my friend, Emma's hysterectomy. She was my reference for the doctor, but I don't understand why he did different procedures. I would definitely ask him about it prior to surgery. I was under the impression the mesh would just stick to my body cavity.
