I am a student at this school and it is unreal how poorly managed everything is. This is not…read moreadvertised but the HVAC program is student taught, meaning the teacher himself does not actually teach the curriculum. The students are expected the teach each other the material via pre-made power point where we are covering one to two units per day (due to the class being too short to cover the whole book in a reasonable manner). So obviously no one is retaining the material. There is barley any hands on work its all "taught" through power points. I have been here 6 months and we have only brazed (one of the most important skills in HVAC) two times due to the school just not bothering to order gas for the torches. If you want to get into the HVAC field just pay 80$ to take the EPA 608 test yourself, its the same certification the school is training you for and is needed to work in the field. You can find resources to study for the test online yourself way cheaper than 13K. I will be notifying the state board of education about this as well.

They use top notch ingredients, so I suspect the cooking school is a loss leader, meaning DLM loses money on the school to get you hooked on shopping there for the ingredients. This particular store (which may not be unlike others, I just don't know because I haven't moved to this region yet.) offers a lovely wine selection with tables and a bar where you may enjoy a draft beer or a glass of vino. My understanding is this particular location also offers cooking classes, which I hear are expensive but oh, so much fun! The produce is always fresh. I can find my "weird" natural / organic / granola-like products that my family makes fun of me for here. If you love food, you'll love this place.
