Everyone is so friendly and helpful from the other students, members, and instructors. The director Meg Smallwood is thorough in technical instruction and an eternal cheerleader for creativity. I have taken two classes with her and tried several other instructors as well and I've learned a lot from seeing varying technique, instruction type, and styles. I took the wheel throwing level 4 class this winter and had an excellent experience. This was my first class I have taken at this studio and although other class members all knew each other, I found everyone to be extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The class instructor was very knowledgeable and always available to answer questions, gave insightful demos, and helped class members when stuck on a project. Each class features a demonstration on a new skill plus time for questions, and time to practice the skill. Open studio time each weekend can be used to practice and to create anything you'd like to make. I have enjoyed it so much, I've already signed up for a hand building class next session. Prices here are equivalent to other pottery studios in Central Ohio, but this studio has more of a community feel than other for-profit entities. read more
