My recollection of my daughter's experience more than 20 years ago just came up. She was three or four at that time and was referred to Dr. Creech to have her cavities filled. Dr. Creech tried to give her sedatives before filling in her cavities. The procedure was unsuccessful, as my daughter went absolutely hysterical. A relative watched her while the receptionist sent me to the treatment room for Dr. Creech to explain what had happened. He didn't even show up even after 30 or 40 minutes. Finally, we gave up because it was unbearable to have my daughter behave uncontrollably because of the sedative. We were all angry by then. Later, we went to another pediatric dentist, and he successfully filled in her cavities. If your child needs cavities filled, look for another dental group. read more

0/10 for Dr Wright- Such a sad, disappointing experience. My husband and I used to come here so I felt comfortable bringing my son in for his first dentist appointment. I was told Dr. Wright was the pediatric doctor and would only see my son on a Tuesday or Thursday. That's fine. I told the front staff when I called that he's in tremendous pain and I want to get him in as soon as possible. She let me know that the soonest available was a month and a half out, but that's just a consultation visit and they won't do any fillings or fixing. I practically begged that since we have to wait I would like them to actually address some of the cavities that first appointment. She spoke with the doctor and said they could do that. I spent that time researching and doing everything in my mama power to heal my son at home as holistically as I could. What I did was working and my sons pain went from a 10 to an occasional 5. Thank God! When we arrived to our appointment (May 5) and the staff wasn't exactly happy or encouraging of my son at his first appointment. Wright eventually comes in his room, doesn't greet my son, doesn't strike up conversation with him or even slightly attempt to make him feel comfortable for his first appointment (which I made known). Wright took the X-ray, looked in his mouth (baby teeth) and told me his top teeth have several cavities and his bottom do not- they're perfect. "In my 30 years I can't say I have seen this before." I mentioned that my son is ready today to have Wright work on them and he so kindly (lol) said that he can't because he has to go to lunch. I said I would really like it to be addressed as I had requested when I made the appointment originally and he had been in pain so it only makes sense we do even a little bit today. "Sorry it's my lunch you can schedule at the front desk". I asked Wright if I could show him what I have been doing at home and if he had any additional suggestions. I brought up hydroxyapatite tooth paste, supplements, oil pulling, xylitol, etc. His words immediately were "Oh that's all anecdotal. That's anecdotal." So basically I get a doctor laughing in my face, a mom who just wants her baby to feel better, has done her own research, desperate to affect change while admitting I am not a dentist and I need his help. He left the room, without a word, never said 'good job buddy' to my kid and I said "Oh... just walk out and not say anything? Strange.." I brushed it off and while my son was in the prize room I over heard Dr Wright discussing down the hall with another doctor about my sons appointment. I heard "Yeah she said she's using hydroxyapatite and I told her that's anecdotal it's just your opinion haha!!" I grabbed my son, went to the front desk and Wright walked past me so I stopped him. I asked him if he found it appropriate to gossip about a patient while they're still in the building. If he thought that his behavior would be perceived as professional to a mom that just over heard him. I asked him why he couldn't have just waited til I left the building. His response was hilarious and a lie. "Oh I was talking about a different patient with dry mouth." And for the first time he actually looks at my son in the face, gives him a high five (because he was embarrassed and called out) and says if we need any anti biotic then we can call in the office. *insert eye roll* Needless to say, I cancelled all future appointments and was happy I got a follow up text to leave a review. Whether or not you agree with any holistic approach to dental work, do your research and find a dentist that isn't creepy, doesn't have horrible bed side manner, actually acts like he enjoys working with children and doesn't sh*t talk you the second he walks out of the room. 0/10 would not recommend. read more

I'm a dental chicken, so I put off tending to a cracked tooth for five years. I finally caved and saw Dr Creech. He and his assistant Heidi were very compassionate and kind. They did the exam and pulled the tooth all within about 2 hours. Since I had no insurance, they gave me a cash discount. Although I'm still a "dentaphobe", I would not hesitate to go back for more issues. read more

I've been going to this practice for the last 20 years and have seen Dr. Wright, Dr. Mutton (now retired), and Dr. Hagee in that time. All of them are very professional, personable, and treat you like a good friend and not a patient. Their hygienists are outstanding (my wife who hates going to the dentist would even agree) and very gentle when they're doing their cleaning. My wife and I have been going to Fort Wayne Dental for 15 years. The staff are so great and considerate during your exam and procedures. The Dentists are the absolute best. I would like to point out my review is on the office staff, not necessarily the doctors or hygienists. A couple weeks ago my children were in for their semi-annual cleaning. I was told everything was being billed by insurance and sent on my way. A couple weeks later I received a bill in the mail with a list of all the services received that day, the amount covered by insurance and my remaining balance of $66. No explanation of the charges. So I called to get a better idea of what I was paying for since this was a routine visit and in my mind should have been covered 100%. We've been patients there for 5+ years with the same insurance and this hadn't happened before. The first woman who answered was polite, but said she couldn't tell what the charge was for and would have the insurance specialist call me the next day. She calls me back and says they received a fluoride treatment that insurance only pays for once per year. I said ok, is it your standard practice to perform services that aren't covered by insurance without first talking to the patient or guardian to make sure they want it performed? She says, I'm going to write the charge off. I said that's fine...I wasn't asking for that, but rather I'd like to know if that's your practice to perform non-covered services without asking first? She tells me the doctor and ADA recommend it and they give fluoride twice a year. I said I understand that, but as the person paying for this service-you're telling me I'm paying for it regardless. She says fine ma'am, I'll put a note on the file that they're only allowed to receive it once per year per your request. I said you're missing the point entirely. I'm not saying they shouldn't receive it, I'm saying I want to be consulted first. I wouldn't presume to spend anyone else's money for them, they should have a choice. She tells me they don't have the time to consult with EVERY patient on whether they should do the fluoride, that she's marking the file once per year and that was it. I ask to speak with the office manager. She clearly isn't understanding what I'm saying and we're both frustrated with each other. She tells me she's done talking to me and that's she's hanging up on me. Then does so. I call back in and ask for the office manager, she's not in but will call me later. The office manager calls me back and I explain the situation to her. I'm VERY upset by this time. I feel like no one will listen and understand my point of view. I've been hung up on, treated like what I have to say is insignificant and that I really shouldn't bother to question anything. Just accept what's being told to me or else. The office manager says she apologizes if I feel I've been treated "a certain way." I'm not sure what kind of apology that is, but she goes on. I ask her, is it your companies policy to perform services not-covered. She once again gives me the ADA/doctors orders line. I said yes, I'm aware of that. I explain I was told my children apparently weren't even now allowed to get the service the second time in a year because they won't check first to make sure it's ok. She tells me that I'm being hostel. I say yes, I am, I'm angry. I feel like I'm being completely dismissed. She then tells me "ma'am I'm trying to deal with you." WOW-you're trying to "deal" with me? I let her know that the situation continues to stay escalated because she clearly doesn't know how to "deal" with an unhappy customer. I still feel as though I have a valid question and concern. I asked who her boss was, she said the doctors. I requested a call back from them. It's been 24 hours, I'm still waiting. It's very clear to me that the office staff at this business could care less about providing good customer service. While the doctors and hygienist may be polite, I will not give my money to a team of individuals who think it's alright to treat someone that way. Shame on you. You're in a profession where there are professionals all over town doing what you do. You should really think about how you're treating someone, otherwise, you may find yourself without any clients to bully. read more

"High-Grossers" Word used for overpriced services. Shop around. Technically they are fine. They DO seem more interested in crafting a dental treatment plan based on your ability to pay. If you have great coverage; they will recommend the BEST option.. If on the other hand, your insurance is running low or are private pay, the recommendation is for the cheapest alternative, not necessarily the best option which is not mentioned in the consult. A true service industry will offer the consumer the BEST option first, regardless of the cost. If one can not afford it, them move to plan (B). Not everyone can afford a Ferrari; but I at least know the price. read more

I had such a good experience with this dentist . they got me in the same day for a root canal . when I arrived I was greeted by friendly staff and continued to receive excellent service for my entire stay. read more
