8 court volleyball tournament and this place is HUGE. Be prepared. Bring in a clear small bag, metal detectors, no food or drink (they'll make you throw it away) and it's freezing in here. The concessions are way overpriced and the staff running it goof off while the lines build and build. The kids had fun but just be prepared. Plan your meals beforehand and pack your bags small.

This is a nice and clean facility with plenty of parking. The staff was very helpful during the event. FYI no cash accepted for parking or concessions. Clear bag policy!

Very nice facility. We were there at a cheer competition. Lots of bathrooms. Just be prepared for no cash for parking, entrance and snacks.

Since it was a hot and muggy day, free cold water and run thru water mist (provided by the fire dept) were offered. Outside of the stadium, there were multiple food trucks, activity areas, and clean mobile restrooms, not the gross porta potties. Went through security- women make sure to have a clear bag/purse and size as specified. Seating sections were clearly marked. We loved our seats and had no issues with views. Section 330. Restrooms were nearby and if there was a line, it moved fast. Great game! I also appreciated that it's a closed stadium. There were storms during the game and we were not affected. Although after the game, all were notified to shelter in place for a bit due to lightning. Easy peasy experience!

Over dropped us at Petco next to the stadium and it was only a 10 min walk. Entrance process needs work. Too forever to get thru the screening line then it was quick to tap the ticket. Searing signage isn't the best either. We followed an arrow that said we were headed to our seat and ended up walking around the whole thing. Best part of the stadium. . .Verizon WiFi Access and AC. I'm not sure how I felt cold inside the huge stadium when it was 1,000 degrees outside. Prices were as expected; 40 for a beer and seltzer. I'd watch a football game here too. We left using a rickshaw. Austin was great and took us back to the Blossom. I'd use that again instead of waiting for an Uber.

It was also Orbit's birthday, and the giveaway (an Orbit jersey) was gone within 30 minutes. We missed out. Parking is back to being reasonable. I remember when it was $50 after they won the World Series. We park a few blocks down (a whopping 90 cents per hour) and get a few extra steps in. I will say the best thing that's happened is them allowing you to bring your own food and water bottle. Check the bag requirements and restrictions, but it really helps cut ballpark prices for families. We brought CFA in with us, as well as a variety of snacks. Though pricy, El Tiempo Cantina margs are amazing - as always. Go Stros!

My first impression was total sensory overload in the best possible way. Everywhere you look, there's Astros gear, vendors, and fans proudly decked out in orange and navy. The massive team store alone could keep you occupied for hours. With seating for more than 40,000 fans, the sheer size of the crowd was impressive. As an added bonus, the first 10,000 ticket holders received a free Carlos Correa bobblehead. This visit was part of a girls' weekend packed with fun, including an Astros game and even a bodybuilding competition. It made for a memorable mix of adventures. Food options go far beyond traditional ballpark fare like hot dogs and nachos. Fans can enjoy favorites such as Whataburger, Chick-fil-A, Pluckers, and Blue Bell Ice Cream from nearby Brenham, Texas. It also happened to be Barbie Day, and the Upper Concourse bar got into the spirit with themed drink specials. The Astros faced the Cleveland Guardians, and although the Guardians came away with the win, the game itself was only part of the total experience. Between the electric atmosphere, enthusiastic fans, and nonstop entertainment, Daikin Park delivered a fun and memorable day at the ballpark for our girls trip.

Clear Creek Independent School District (CCISD) has a gridiron gem of its own in Challenger Columbia Stadium. While the venue has been around for at least a decade, the 2024 commencement exercises for Clear Springs High School on June 1, 2024, were my first time there. My friends who I accompanied told me the stadium is considered one of the top high school football venues in the Lone Star State, and it was easy to see why. There's ample seating, a superb audio system, a crystal clear video board, nice sight lines, a very accommodating field house. I commend the district for commemorating the fallen astronauts of the 1986 Challenger explosion and the 2003 Columbia tragedy. The atmosphere at graduation was festive, but I can imagine being more than that during a football game.

The 2016-2017 school year is the first season of football. The stadium will hold 10,000 people. It is much nicer than the older Veterans Memorial Stadium on the east side of League City. It is much nicer than what we have had before but still not as nice as other stadiums in the Houston area. However, since I pay taxes in this district, I'm happy that it is not the most expensive stadium in the area. The fans are quite a distance from the field and sound from the stands does not seem to carry as loudly as it did in Veterans Memorial Stadium. It could be that the fans are more spread out and so it doesn't seem as loud. Parking is easy and in abundance. Coming to the game from the Gulf Freeway is a nightmare. You would be better off coming the back way from Friendswood on FM 528. Also, getting out of the parking lot when the game is over is also a nightmare. It is much better to park further from the stadium and walk to your car. You'll get out sooner parking closer to the street and walking to/from your car. Parking close to the stadium can end up being a 30-60 minute wait getting out afterwards.

It's a place where kids in marching bands performing in Texas heat turn the sound up. Where girls on the high schools dance squads kick in a traditional line dance. Fans holding on to their season tickets like they were Packers fans. If the concessions should only match the rivalries this place would be great. But I'm pretty sure they serve the cheapest forms of hotdogs anyone could find and so I strongly urge you to stick to bottled water and eat well before the game. If you like food, go to a Strake home game! It may be small ball but the concessions serve real food.

I wanted the family to come out and support her as well, so I started looking online to confirm the address and ticket prices. Man oh MAN! Friday Night Football is so much different now than it was when I was growing up! Not only did I find the address to the Stadium, but also an online site to buy tickets to the game (with a nice online fee of course)! They even sold VIP tickets which I found out later is a section that other people cannot cross into without their ticket--especially when the halftime show is going on. They even have cops around to make you move from certain areas during the performances. Safety first, but man these rules procedures and exclusions kinda killed my vibe. We did arrive early enough to get some nice seats, but still I'm not use to the printed tickets with qr codes on them. Seating was pretty comfortable, but I would suggest buying and bringing one of those mini stadium seats to keep from slouching. The home team has a little rowdy group of teenagers posted up making noise the entire time during the game, so maybe beware of that. Otherwise, I enjoyed the Friday Night Lights of High School Football. There is a concession stand to satisfy your viewijng pleasure. Pretty standard prices. $5 will get you something to last you the first quarter if you're a kid. All in all, nice stadium with plenty of parking and CLEAN bathrooms--RARE!
