Very sexist and biased! leans towards females for employment and when they are considering which students to give breaks or finances to. I hated this school when I attended as I saw woman get more favorable outcomes even though I was the one who needed the resources more. waste of my tuition I might have to bring this up at the board of trustees! read more

Wow! Wow! Wow! I just read all reviews for this place and I am shocked and saddened for all the angst and disappointment suffered by students, former students, and employment applicants. This was my first visit and I developed mixed feelings upon arrival. The place is under major construction and several of the parking lots are in need of major repair. Once I located the visitor's lot, I asked a worker for a building location and she happily showed me the path, and was very friendly, as well as helpful. The bookstore is going through major renovations, and the classrooms looked clean with proper technology in every room. At first, my meeting was delayed for a few minutes and I thought this was a horrible sign of things to come but after the group warmed up to me presence, the 1 hour meeting turned into a 2 hour interaction of good, positive talk about developing change in this community. Overall, from my experience as an outsider, I will give 3 out of 5 stars for Forsyth CC. read more

While they're polite, its impossible to speak to a human being to help with financial aid applications. We waited 40 minutes to speak to someone DURING business hours, and then were presented with an answering machine. read more

I have interviewed with this school on 3 separate occasions and each time, I've encountered hostile interviewers. I believe their behavior speaks volume of the college culture and lack of inclusion practices. The college claims to be an inclusive space, however I have been treated with disrespect and devalued because of my experiences and background. I have a foul taste in my mouth regarding this school. Based on my experiences with staff members, it makes me question, what kind of working environment promotes bullying and exclusion of potential employees? Forsyth Technical Community College Radiography Program Review. Unethical practices going on in this program. The program coordinator will force you to withdraw from the program if you scored less than 78 on lab test twice even if you have an A or a B avg throughout the whole program. The coordinator will then force you to put the reason you are withdrawing as "personal reasons" or you would be given F's in every course. This is done to every person kicked out of the program so they can keep saying No one failed this course or was kicked out last, we only had people leave for personal reasons. The amount of hurdles you must jump to get into this program keeps students in a constant state of being scared they either will be kicked out or won't be let back in so they go along with the pressure of falsifying this statement. Something needs to be done. read more

This is my first class here at FTCC. I have my MBA, these are just to keep myself sharp. Well, the first teacher here is political and talking about the vaccines, CDC rent moratorium. Then, I have given them my information from High School and they tell me I have to go in and give them my High School transcripts. So I go in and tell them they already have it at the cashiers office. They say "sure we will use that and upload it". I get a letter a week later saying I have to go in and give them my information.... there doesn't seem to be a good education without political indoctrination. and the Admin doesn't seem capable. The next I called the cashiers office to set up a payment plan. The cashier said you do that on Blackboard IT. I had gone in the night before and was told I could call. so replied with that information. She pointedly said no and we hung up. Or so she thought I heard her derision and bad mouthing. read more

if I could rate a zero for this college I would. first of all I am a former student! I was a student 12 years ago. I finished my classes and went on with my life. here I am 12 years later advancing my skill set in my career and I call to register for a notary class....... I call the number listed to register and I am asked which class and I tell the operator which date I would like to register for. I was then asked am I a former or current student. to which I reply with I'm a former student and that was over a decade ago. I was then told I can't register for the class until their system updates my maiden name to my married name ???? wtf ??? what does me registering for a notary class that is available to the public have anything to do with my records from 12 years ago!!! I explained I am required by my employer to take this notary and now I'm being told I can't take it because of some bs from when I was 21 years old and unmarried when I was a student there before ? so I'm being punished because I'm married and it's been 12 years since I attended. I'm then told it will take 3-5 days and I would have to log into my chexlink account. I told the operator I have no clue what they are talking about and a thing account wise or online from 12 years ago obviously I would not have access to clearly. The only reason I called to register is because this campus is right up the road from my house. this was a crap college when I attended and clearly nothing has changed. I went here for school to take some prerequisites before I applied to graduated school and I was very pleased with all the courses. They transferred to every college I applied to and the teachers were great. The courses were still challenging which had me thinking maybe I should have spent my first two years of college at FTCC and then transfer for my last two years while obtaining my Bachelors. I would have saved a whole lot of money that's for sure. Everything was very affordable as at the time for in state students it was around $70 per credit hour which wasn't bad at all. Parking stickers are $25 a piece, and transcripts are $3 a piece. All very reasonable, especially when you compare them to a University. I was annoyed with how you must pay for your transcript in the main building at the cashier's office, and then you have to go all the way to the old career center building to get the actual transcript, by hey other than that. I big deal. I would recommend this school to anyone, especially the science courses. They have every 100 and 200 level science course you would need. If you are thinking of a community college, FTCC is the place. read more

I received my Associates Degree in Business Administration from this great school. Everything went smoothly with being registered for classes. The professors were great as well. So far I am completely unimpressed with Forsyth Tech based on our experience with admissions, the bookstore and the cashiers office. There seem to be a lot of internally-created rules that defy common sense and complicate the whole process. No one appears to be able to make a decision or give accurate information, and students are mindlessly referred to other offices and departments instead of staff taking some initiative and handling things. It's like the DMV of education. Hope the instructors are more professional! read more

Forsyth Tech is a great school... That is if you have no aspirations in your life. It is IMPOSSIBLE to work with the incompetent administration and staff here. They are useless and will run you all over campus trying to accomplish one thing... Only to inform you that you have been directed to the wrong place on campus. They then proceed to direct you to the next wrong location on campus... And so the cycle repeats for a good hour or so. Oh and watch out for the parking Natzis on the golf carts.. They'll be watching you. If your car breaks... And you need to drive another car to school, they will give you a parking ticket unless you buy an additional $25 parking sticker on top of the one you already have on your car that's broken... They basically just try to squeeze as much money out of you as they, giving nothing in return.. Please don't waste your time with this place... Go to another community college that has competent staff. read more

Great school. The staff truly cares and for the most part the instructors are very knowledge of what they do. Compared to other state-run organizations, this one is above par. I definitely would recommend this school if you were interested in their two-year transfer programs. If one thing is lacking, its the bookstore but part of that is the cost of textbooks so its not entirely their fault. read more

Don't waste your time with this place. It is nearly impossible to get registered for what they consider special credits. That's for those who just want to take a couple classes to cut down their time at their full time college. Getting someone to actually answer the phone was difficult. They would send links that didn't half work. Once we finally got her registered, they registered her for the wrong class. They put her in a fall class instead of the summer class. We had to get that fixed. Then we had difficulty finding where special credit students pay for registration. She did not get the info until right before classes were supposed to start. The class schedule also listed they started on 5-15, nope her and the several others that showed up on 5-15 came to an empty school. While she was at school and waiting for her second class to start, she gets an email that it has been cancelled. Lovely notice. I call to get my money back so we can try to get her registered at another school and they tell me we have to wait almost 4 weeks for a refund. We didn't drop out of class, those idiots cancelled it last minute. They charge an absolutely ridiculous price for their books too. Excessive profit margin. The Dean has an I'm better than you attitude too. Horrible experience, horrible school. Go somewhere else. read more
