I've devised a standardized system to evaluate bubble tea that has 3 distinct categories: taste of the milk tea, quality of the boba, and level of Instagrammability. Milk tea: I've had worse, I ordered the taro coconut flavor, and it tasted vaguely of taro and vaguely of coconut. I didn't see them make it but I assume it was with powder. It was sweet and didn't taste too watery. 2/5 Boba quality: they were of good size and chewiness, no qualms here 4/5 Instagrammability: This is where Yogo Berry Bubble Tea takes a hit. Inherently, instagramming a chain boba place that doesn't necessarily specialize in boba brings the post down a notch. Also, the decor inside does not particularly promote a good picture. There wasn't enough brown sugar syrup on them so it tasted slightly plasticy... the tea itself wasn't bad but it could have been maybe instead of 50% sweetened we could do 75%. See what happens then.. I don't know if I like this spot. It was very pricey for average tea so I'm going to have to think on it.
