I attended a free barre class here through yelp. I had never taken a barre class and didn't know…read morewhat to expect. Our trainer Michelle was a wonderful teacher and very knowledgable. She is a career dancer, so it's not like other places where a fitness instructor just takes a few certification classes. Because of her experience, she is great at explaining how to move and hold your body and how to correct your form. With a maximum class size of 5 - 6, you will have as close to personal training as you can get. The space itself is also top notch. The whole gym has a luxe feel and the studio is small but airy and bright. Between the nice facilities and unique classes, they offer a lot that you won't find anywhere else.

To be…read morehonest, I'm not sure it's something they actively seek clients for, but since I live a block away and work from home it worked out well. I can tell this gym is focused on personal training and from the reviews looks like 5 stars there as well. But back to the part-time membership - worth every penny. Because they are a personal training gym, we usually always had the place to ourselves which I ended up really, really liking. When I was in fantastic shape, going to the regular gym was nothing, but when you've got some extra pounds to shed, having a nearly private space was amazing. I was concerned that because it was a personal training gym a trainer would eventually come up and try to sell me on some sessions, but that didn't happen. Unlike larger gyms I've been to! Also because they are personal training, you have just about every piece of free-weight/aerobic equipment that you could want, along with several machines - again at your disposal, no worrying about waiting for them. They also offer classes that look fun. Finally you CANNOT, I repeat cannot beat the atmosphere here. It is really cool inside, extremely clean, set-up well (2 floors), modern and the staff/owners are so friendly and pretty much mind their clients and not your presence. In conclusion, the weekday membership is not for everyone, but if you can swing it, it's worth it!

As someone who easily gets intimidated by commercial gyms and weight lifting, I sought out a way to…read moreprioritize fitness and strength training in a more personalized way-- that's how I found Method Fitness. Jack Hammond and I regularly met throughout the week for 60-minute training sessions. I can't emphasize this enough-- his enthusiasm, encouragement, and overall knowledge about training undoubtably helped me achieve my goals. Not only did he constantly challenge and push me to improve and train harder; but he did so with a positive attitude. Obviously just by looking at Jack, you'll be able to tell he knows a thing or two about fitness and lifting (the guy is ~~ripped~~), but what sets Jack apart from the other "bro-science" personal trainers, is that he is ACE-certified, has a bachelor's degree in kinesiology, and also has experience with college athletics. His overall understanding about fitness is all backed by his years of experience + knowledge about science-based explanations ... now I don't know about you, but I don't think I could have asked for a more qualified trainer. Due to personal obligations and a career change, I'm no longer able to train at Method as regularly. The good news is that I'll always be able to keep the lessons I've been taught on proper form, correct movements, acceptable adjustments, and lastly-- my higher and improved self-esteem.

Looking for a gym experience that is shepherded by a highly-skilled trainer, perfectly aligned with…read moreyour fitness goals, and not steeped in testosterone? Look no further! I love Method's take on fitness: they recognize that everyone has a different fitness journey, that fitness goals vary, and that getting healthy is a process. By working with Adam and Nigel, I've learned that changing my body composition and dietary discipline has to be habitual, and that success is related to consistency. They've also taught me there is no magic pill, no fantasy workout, no fancy sweatmore sweatpants that are gonna burn my fat, lift my butt, and sculpt my arms; only my hard work will achieve those things. And that the hard work is WAY worth it. With Adam and Nigel's guidance, my weekly workouts have progressed hugely over time. I've dropped weight, changed my body composition, increased my cardio capability, and am strong as hell. Worried about Method being way too bro-tastic for your tastes? No worries there. Amahl, the owner, does an incredible job curating a team of trainers that is dedicated to a healthful lifestyle and are super fit themselves, but somehow lack the macho-man-cool-story-bro gene. Worried about Method not being hardcore enough for you? No worries there, either. These trainers are SERIOUS. I see some of the trainers' personal workouts while I'm coming and going in the space - and their strength, ability, stamina, and discipline AMAZE me. Super inspirational. Couple other plusses: the space is clean and beautiful, parking is easy peasy, there are always fresh towels to wipe your brow, and spring water is provided to quench your thirst. In short, integrating Method into your fitness routine is nothing but a good thing. You'll get where you want to go faster, with better knowledge, and with great guidance.

The first time around I used their provided earbuds which were very uncomfortable. My ears are known to be small, and afterwards I was sore, so this time, I remembered my own ear bud loops for loud noises. I love how they are still offered for free because my gym anxiety is very high and I felt brave going today by myself after the free Yelp event. Really motivating and fast pace! You WILL get a good cardio workout with strength work! The bathroom was well equipped with scrunchies, deodorant, and body spray and feminine products. All bathrooms are gender neutral, and has two shower rooms. Each shower room has body wash, shampoo, and conditioner! I haven't tried it yet, but maybe I will if I needed too~ felt very inviting versus other daunting gym showers I've seen in the past. My last point is how friendly everyone is! As mentioned before, I DO enjoy the gym, but I can get easily overwhelmed by gym anxiety. I liked how the staff had such friendly smiles and were inviting but also, let us be (hopefully that makes sense). They didn't pay too much attention to me, and let me slide into the class with no "FIRST TIME FRIEND?!" Vibe other places attempt~ I felt included and in the zone right off the start. Will continue!

Stop deleting my review to try and silence me. I will keep reposting it…read more Would not recommend this place to anyone. I regret saying I took my first ever reformer Pilates class here and had the worst experience. I took Andi's class. I read her bio on the website and was excited seeing she was also a yoga instructor (yoga is a big part of my life) and very experienced. I arrived to the studio a little nervous as I'm brand new to reformer Pilates and did the class by myself. (I booked a class described as beginner friendly) I entered the building and she looked me up and down and turned away from me to go back to talking to the other 4 girls who were there for the class. They clearly all knew each other and were regulars to this class. She didn't say a single word to me. I had never been to this studio and had no idea what to do. I spotted a wall of cubbies that I walked over to, and put my stuff down. She stopped her conversation (gossiping about another Pilates instructor) to say "is this your first class" in a very annoyed, condescending tone. I said yes and she told me I needed grip socks, if I didn't have any to go bare foot. And returned back to the gossip with the other girls. This attitude / tone of voice continued as she briefly explained the reformer and walked away. I wasn't welcomed, asked for my name, asked if I needed any help, shown around the studio, nothing. I felt like a nuisance for being there. I felt like I was back in high school and this was the click of mean girls. Mid class she called me out to fix my form "Allie, is it?" Again very condescending. Yes, considering you know every other girl here, that's my name. You would know if you had welcomed me and introduced yourself. At the end of class there wasn't a single word as I quickly grabbed my things and left. Spent $40 to be treated like dog shit. Really sad that this place lives up to the "stuck up mean girl" stereotype around Pilates. Do better. It's a shame because the studio is beautiful and I would have loved to be a regular here. But this place will never get my money again. I follow their instagram and this instructor is always looking for clients to fill up her classes. You can't run a female dominated business and be a mean girl.
