I come to this area of England every year and one thing that always intrigues me is that whenever I need to go to the Post Office in the village of Formby, THERE IS ALWAYS A LINE (Queue). It is amazing, no matter what time of day you go in, there is a one and it is usually long. Yesterday, I went to change some cash from dollars to pound sterling and the line was pretty long--the good thing is that I got a chance to chat up some of the locals & hear some funny stories. Although the queue was long, it went really quickly.
I will say they have fantastic customer service and will get in & out in a jiffy. They have all your mail needs there--everything from stamps, envelopes, cards, stationary and writing instruments. I love that they do not charge a commission for changing currency and they chat me up a bit because I have an "accent". It is very efficient and that is a huge bonus in my book. read more
