I needed space from my husband -- and from all the food -- so I paid a visit to Live & Breathe Pilates. SO glad that I did. Louise is amazing. My group Pilates class turned into 1:1 because no one else had signed up. For just about 23 EUR, I was able to do a drop-in class and it was really incredible. I learned so much about my alignment and was able to try a few new moves on the reformer that I hadn't done previously. Louise is an expert and is incredibly encouraging. I booked one more class during my holiday because I just had such a great first go. Highly recommend!

I started Pilate's to compliment my running and also to try something non impact and again something to work more in depth with my posture - I have awful posture, I am always slouching. Firstly the cost of classes here are the cheapest that I found in the city. The location is beautiful, the studio is so zenned out. The minute I step in there I just relax. Steph is a wonderful teacher, so patient, enthusiastic and highly qualified. Although don't repeat my mistake and wear a low cut top that will expose your girls to the class, I think I have scarred them for life. I just really love the concentration that goes into it as it is another great form of relaxation for me. I also love the mindfulness that I am beginning to get of my body.

If you are looking to clear your mind, and walk away with a sense of complete calmness, this is something to try. I had a spring in my step and an absolutely clear, calm mind. I really couldn't recommend it highly enough. On the Dublin Holistic Centre; well it's just a little oasis in the city. Candles, smells, peaceful decor, a mind boggling array of holistic treatments as well as yoga and pilates, and really, really lovely staff. (I was drenched when I got there from cycling in the rain, so the receptionist gave me a pair of dry fisherman pants to wear while I was having my treatment, and to allow my clothes to dry before I put them back on. Can't say fairer than that!

The Leeson St. studio is down in the basement of 73 Leeson St. Lower. You walk into a welcoming calm reception area. To your left there is a large room specifically for private Pilates sessions. In the back of the basement is a large reformer Pilates studio for up to twelve people at once. It's well set out and also provides two shower cubicles at the back for people heading to work after class or heading back to work at lunch time. Platinum has an extensive list of classes available across all four of their studios. Classes in Lesson St generally begin at 7am, and they have classes all day until approximately 8:15pm when they finish. Although reformer Pilates is expensive, Platinum Pilates offer group packages of classes in amounts of 5, 10, 20 and 50 classes with the cost of classes lessening the more classes you buy at once. They also have a great mobile app which allows you to manage your class schedule, booking and canceling and rescheduling classes as required; and you can attend any of the four studios that suit. They have a great schedule of Pilates teachers. I highly recommend Platinum Pilates.

Read carefully. This is subjective rating and there's a good reason for that…read more I'll start off with a bitter words. All good will be at the end, like a dessert is. Major problem lies within "check-in to redeem offer". When you browse through businesses on Yelp, you find some businesses that offer discounts or freebies when you check-in there. So there was €20 off for a single session. This offer was corner stone for my choice. Called in, arranged appointment, showed up, checked-in, got a treatment. When was time to pay, I says "... here's the money just €20 less due to your €20 discount...". Mr. Eoin said this was expired offer therefore he cannot apply discount. I was thrown off, because there actually was a note "running though January". See attacthed screenshots here https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/16547519/WebShare/4ever/Body%20Mechanics%20Check-in%20offer.png. But wait, there's a catch. You can't see that condition unless you do the check-in and press the redeem button. And you can't do a check-in far away from business's location. Yelp doesn't let you. Naturally I checked-in only when arrived at the place. Secondly, I didn't redeem the code until time came to pay. I tried to argue softly, but Mr. Eoin firmly said discount is not available (it wasn't January). I had second appointment where I confronted Mr. Eoin about the discount and requested more strongly to get one. He gave in eventually after uncomfortable argue that this is not right and discount should be taken off if it is not available at current time. He gave me only €10 discount only to me off his back (I assume). I accepted it. Didn't come back and not planning to due to unfair and cheating practices The good stuff. Mr. Eoin is brilliant at what he does. He knows the body. His diagnosis was correct and treatment was affective. He is a nice gentleman, I'd say. Regardless of his unfair business practice I would recommend him to anyone who has muscle or movement problems. Place is big. Plenty of room. He's training equipment. You can do few exercises just to know how you need to do them later by yourself correctly. This is extremely useful. Bus stops are just near. Dublin Bikes station just outside. Close to city centre. P.S. I brought this issue to Yelp. They informed that business owners regulate promotions and Yelp is not accountable for them (promotions). This is sad, because even by this date, after a year, this check-in offer is still available and is deceiving.

Don't fear however their upbeat smiles and attitudes will make it totally worth the effort. I've been practicing yoga for a while and have been meaning to check this place out so I decided to take a flow 2 class. This is a little bit more advanced but as with most places the instructor gives variations to all the poses and blocks, straps and cushions are there for everyone to use. Just note that you should bring your own mat or you'll have to rent one for 2euro, so definitely worth the investment if you want to become a regular. The class itself was great, nice and warm so sweated out those pores (they offer hot yoga too). The instructor shows the poses and then walks about the class to assist. Afterwards I decided to indulge in the vegan restaurant... So glad I did! Nice little range of salads and full meals. Pretty reasonable prices to match! Yoga hub is v expensive on a class by class basis so you really want to buy the monthly membership if you want to get into your yoga practice here but definitely worth the experience to try the odd class here and there also.
