With his help I broke through a weight loss plateau and dropped 20~ pounds. He provides challenging but rewarding workout plans, great nutritional advice, and a charming personality that makes working out at 7 in the morning tolerable. One thing that I really like about Lawshawn as a trainer is the weight and body fat measurements to track progress. That level of detailed tracking helps me course correct when I fall off the wagon, and realize the progress that I'm making when I don't actually see it.

The workout sessions have been great! They've been undoubtedly some of the most challenging workouts I've ever experienced, but that is exactly what I was looking for in a personal training session - someone who pushes me while understanding my limits. In addition to the intense workouts, Lashawn places a strong emphasis on nutrition. He has already begun guiding me in setting realistic goals to clean up my diet to help me achieve the results I am aiming for. This is definitely an aspect that I am excited to continue working on and an element I have not seen offered by other personal trainers. I can't recommend Lashawn enough to anyone looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable personal trainer who's not only committed to helping you achieve your goals but also deeply cares about your overall well-being. He's the real deal!

This location is larger than the others so it's really spacious. At the SM location I've trained with Martine, Conrad, and Sean and, as usual, all are well trained, know their shit, pay attention, and are fantastic trainers! They keep you motivated. And it's great taking classes from different trainers because each one will give you a little tip that will land different for everyone. So something small, a slight adjustment, might change the way you do a lift for the better. Another reason I love this place. It's not cheap but it's worth it and so are you! No better $ spent than on your health!

I am a regular at the Studio City Lift Society but love visiting this location if I have to be on…read morethe Westside and love having that option. I love this gym and let me count the ways. 1. Clean facilities and everybody gets their own squat rack for an hour. Time is our most precious non renewable resource in our hectic lives. To get in a full body workout without waiting to share equipment and not spend any mental energy and time programming my workouts makes this membership a great value. 2. It's not HIIT, it's pure strength training using barbells and dumbbells. With 2-3 minutes of rest in between sets. 3. The classes are small and maybe 10 people at the most. It is more of a semi private training experience - all the attention and individualized focus of a top trainer with the social benefits of being part of a positive community. 4. Fast Results. Pure and simple. I've done it all: F45, Barry's, Orangetheory, Indoor Cycling, Hot yoga, kickboxing, etc. I am the strongest, leanest I've ever been and because my metabolism has skyrocketed by adding muscle mass, it's so freeing not to watch calories anymore.

Training with him three times a week never gets old. He pushes me hard, guides me through every movement, and consistently tailors each session to my evolving goals. That's the real magic of personal training: the hour is entirely focused on you. Last summer I set a goal to run a 5K, and now I'm training for a 10K in September. Alexander added endurance work right into our sessions without missing a beat. Manny is also a wonderful presence at the studio, and I'm deeply grateful the trainers and program for keeping me strong and healthy all these years. The program itself follows structured training phases, but every workout is built around your individual goals and gets more challenging as the weeks progress. The three-day-a-week commitment over sixty days is a genuine game changer. I was never someone who thrives training solo and group classes were more my thing for years, but nothing compares to the accountability and intensity of working 1:1 with a great trainer. The studio has grown too. The Study has moved to a larger space off Pico and Euclid, parking is never an issue, and the new location features a cold plunge, sauna, and a private massage room where Nayra -- a truly world-class therapist works her magic. It's a serious treat after a hard session. The space is clean, the equipment is top of the line, and the trainers are meticulous about keeping everything wiped down. The energy is positive and motivating; watching other clients show up early and stay for a run later, and push themselves harder day after day is genuinely inspiring. I'm stronger, my confidence has grown, and my overall well-being has improved more than I can fully express. If you're on the fence, I wholeheartedly recommend investing in yourself at The Study.

I finally decided to invest in private training sessions at The Study and I am so glad that I did! The Study is situated in a clean, spacious location and is even equipped with a cold tub and sauna! As someone who spent years paying for gym memberships at major health club chains, I am thrilled to have made the switch to The Study, an independently owned and operated studio that focuses on personal, customized training. The trainers helped keep me accountable for my fitness goals and customized a program that accommodated my work schedule. Alexander is a knowledgable and professional instructor who seems truly invested in the progress of his clients. He has a deep understanding of exercise physiology, and is skilled at developing workout plans that maximize results and gradually build in intensity over time. My sessions with him are always challenging yet fun. On top of that, he is pleasant to be around and easy to talk to. I always look forward to my sessions with him and I cannot recommend him enough! The Study also recently expanded their offerings to include electromyostimulation (EMS) workouts, which involve wearing a suit with built-in electrodes that target and stimulate specific muscles while you exercise. I was initially reluctant to try this out, but after completing a session led by Karen, I can say it was a unique and interesting adjunct to conventional strength training. Karen was friendly & enthusiastic and I hope to have more sessions with her in the future. I am very pleased with the progress I have made since starting at The Study. I feel stronger and more confident with each session, and give my unreserved recommendation!

I highly recommend her to all fitness levels and anyone who wants to improve strength, flexibility or mobility. I've trained with Jen in both one-on-one and group settings for about six months. I've always been an athlete but was feeling a bit unmotivated and a little unbalanced with my current routine. Jen's knowledge of fitness, yoga and anatomy helped me improve my form, strength and mobility. Many of the exercises targeted tiny imbalances that I would never have trained on my own. Due to my modern lifestyle, job, and general stress, Jen has helped me regain lost mobility in my neck, shoulders and hips. By teaching me how to relax overly tense muscles and fire underutilized muscles, my overall body began to move and feel better. This has helped me improve my athletic performance, lose a clothing size and become much stronger. No matter what your fitness goals are, Jen can help you reach the next level. I've seen her work with clients from all backgrounds, injuries and fitness levels and recommend her for everyone. I sent her some friends who never workout, did not have a good sense of fitness and were too afraid to start working out due to injury. She's got them completely motivated about fitness and has helped provide them with the tools they need to move their bodies safely and effectively. Jen will keep you challenged, mix it up and will never let you slack on quality form. Her workouts utilize many tools from body weight, free weights, kettle bells, gym equipment, etc. She always keeps it fresh and can adapt the workout depending on how your body is responding. Always a true professional, Jen goes above and beyond in helping her clients. My time with Jen has definitely been an investment in my health and I cannot thank her enough for how strong she makes me feel. I've trained with other individuals before, but Jen Dapper's definitely the real deal and the only one I've sent friends and family to.

First off, since the gym had an indoor and outdoor section, the heat was insane indoors. Being that it was over 90 degrees outside, I was dripping sweat during my workout inside.
