After being a bit wary of Forfars (I've found the St James' branch to be a little rundown), I was pleasantly suprised when I popped into this one near Churchill Square for a sandwich today. The prices are very reasonable - I spent under £3 on a drink and sandwich. The woman behind the counter was very friendly. Plus, most importantly, my sandwich was really tasty - nothing fancy, but thick good quality granary bread, with a fresh taste, rather than that yucky squished in the packet feeling. I'd reccomend this place as an alternative to the many super chains surrounding Forfars - Starbucks, Cafe Nero, Costa Coffee, BHS, Boots... - this sandwich was nicer, cheaper and from a local company, what more could you want! It's also a great alternative to Gregg's, with a seasonal array of tempting goodies in the window at the moment - I may have to grab a gingerbread man before next week! read more
