Go here when you have lots of time and you're not hungry (yet). It's a small staff and food cart, not a full on restaurant. I ordered the (off menu) party tray. It apparently feeds 20 and only costs $130. I was doubtful of their estimates on how much it could feed, but the tray is packed to the brim and required two people to close. It's doesn't seem to be something that's ordered regularly because the team wasn't properly prepared to serve it to me. I.e. - a team member had to run to the local supermarket to buy a lid for the tray. I went in on a Saturday afternoon, arriving around 4 and left closer to 6. If no one is ordering a catering sized amount of food, it should be quick, with each customer taking 2-5 minutes. Unfortunately for everyone else while I was there, there were two people ordering trays. The food is great, but I don't know if I'd wait that long again when there are equally good alternative options where I won't have to wait in the sun. Plus, it's a rougher neighborhood and there's just a lot of impatient people who complain about everything. One lady in line was complaining about the staff handling cash and then handling food. I observed the staff frequently changing gloves. Same lady also got mad that one staff member was taking a lunch break while there was a long line of people waiting for food. Booked and paid 5 days in advance for a catered event. Called the day before to confirm pick up at 12p. I get there at 11:50a to be inform the food is now being cooked and it won't be ready. I had to demand a some type of refund and they didn't even give me back half of the payment. The food ended up being 2 hours LATE!! As a West Indian, it's disgusting that black business continue to do this to their communities. I would NEVER RECOMMEND them for events. Mind you the owner suggested that I could travel from Queens to pick up in Brooklyn. This is my go to spot for some delicious jerk chicken. You have to be patient because the lines can be long and sometimes you have to wait 15-30 minutes for the chicken to finish cooking but trust me it's worth the wait. The staff are pleasant and do their best to keep the lines moving. I don't think the plates are worth it (rice and peas) and they usually don't have any veggies left later in the day. I haven't tried any of their side items they sell like the soups. Their specialty is their jerk chicken and that's what I go and get and have never been dissatisfied. Prices are fair and reasonable. I've been passing this spot for the last three months or so inhaling their delicious aromas coming from their curbside BBQ and just this Sunday night I was going by to hit KFC just a few blocks away and I noticed that there was only two people on line .. This is a rare sight !!!! Normally their line is 25 to 50 people deep so I banged a Uey and jumped out gave my order which was for a whole Chicken $ 24. Bucks & a Quarter Chicken $ 7. Bucks total $ 31 bucks. Very friendly Jamaicans grilling & serving up some of the best jerk chicken ever.. super moist mixed up with that perfectly char that we all love that u can only get when cooking over coal !!!! Of course we took their jerk bbq sauce to go on the side ... the wife & kid can't handle heat which I thought their jerk sauce had just the perfect amount of heat on the money !!! So glad we finally had the chance to try their Chicken ... FYI, we normally have to run all the way over to Utica Avenue to Blue Mountain Jerk House to get out Jerk fix and now it's just a quick 5 minute ride .... Terrible service. One person jerking chicken and serving people. He's very slow and doesn't seem to care about people waiting. He stops to have a conversation with someone in a car while everyone is waiting and gives them chicken. This is why we can't support our own sometimes this is ridiculous. Saw this street grill earlier today and decided to give it a try on our way back from the store. Right away, I noticed a decent sized crowd/line and figured it had to be good if folks were willing to stand outside for it. The jerk chicken did not disappoint. Ordered the 1/2 jerk chicken option. Smoky flavor remained present in the smell and taste off the grill, juicy and well seasoned right down to the bone. I waited for about 10 minutes but everything moved quickly (from ordering to being served + paying). I've been driving by this outdoor jerk spot for quite some time. I never stopped to purchase because the line is always so long. (If you can see the line through all the smoke). Today, I had a taste for jerk, and to my surprise, there wasn't much of a line due to earlier rain. I spent all of four minutes ordering a "half" of chicken. I was a bit worried by the word "half," because it usually means, half a bird, and dry chicken breast is never much fun. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that a half is actually three chicken legs, For $14., not too bad of a bargain, considering they cook over real charcoal. When I arrived home a few minutes later, the chicken was piping hot. So, how does it taste? Pretty darn good by local standards. I heard they marinate the chicken for about 48 hours. I don't know if there is any truth to this, but my chicken was certainly seasoned through-and-through. They provide options for topping sauces, and I went with my normal hot pepper sauce. They also sell other things, such as BBQ ribs, fish, and oxtails. This is the best jerk chicken that I've had in this general area. I'll definitely come back, because unlike other jerk spots, they don't skimp on their portions, and the charcoal element is perfect. For those not familiar with the area, there is ample street parking. Sadly, a lot of the people who come here are so lazy that they opt to double-park - causing traffic congestion - when all they have to do is park and walk an extra 100 feet. read more

Horrible experience regarding the location on Flatlands and Pennsylvania. My lady buys food for us frequently from there. They provided their number so we can call ahead for orders to save outside unnecessary wait time in the cold. She called today and a woman answered that refused to accept the order. So she went to place it in person, they said the fish would take 20 mins. So they prefer her to wait in discomfort? When we provided the Groupon, the same impolite woman (only one there) , said it must be swiped. This was done as she rudely directed it. Yet to discover that the woman that represented this vendor saying she REFUSES to serve us and will not accept the voucher ( when proven the same tracking code unused then after HER request, swiped as redeemed). Unbelievable. So now remaining hungry and wasted money. The worst customer service experience ever received. We are very influential in the community and will now interest to boycott this business. I had an unsettling feeling of lack of sanitary when it comes to food trucks. Yet now it's supported from people that provide poor customer service typically poorly handle food. Manners and hygiene should compliment each other!
