Iris did a great job on my hair. She told me her salon has been there for over 17 years. My hair is difficult to cut because it's very wavy. Interestingly, she straightened my hair first and then cut it. She started cutting while it was wet but when it was straight and dry, she can shape it. It turned out better than I thought it would. Her women cuts are now $28+. She charged me $35 for long hair minus $3 discount for first time customer. Reasonable for stylish cut when I was expecting a simple haircut. read more

This place has been going downhill. I am usually pretty positive on service persons, but I can't help but wondering if the hairdresser is still fully engaged with her work. I had a simple haircut there. When I got home, I found some blood on my right cheek! I then recalled that she had her scissors scratched my right side cheek. It burnt a little. Apparently it bled then, and she covered it up! I would have preferred an honest apology! read more

Went there in the end of May 2023, was thinking to soften the hair a little bit. Iris told me she can do "fluffy style" hair straightening. During the process, because she booked 4 people at the same time for different hair cuts, she put me under high heat for hours and hours which damaged my hair. I think the chemicals she used on me was also not qualified ones. I immediately started hair loss after the straightening. Each time even when I just touched my hair with hands, I lost lots of hair. The picture shows how I looked 10 days after the hair straightening and 1 day before the treatment. Now I became totally bald. Dermatologist said I needed several years to have my hair grow back from this damage caused by the salon. read more

She works very professionally and has a careful eye to detect where your skin needs work. She does both extractions and black head removals, and she never leaves scars. My boyfriend just recently moved to the Bay Area from New York and boy was his hair getting long. We needed to find him a salon ASAP but all the highly rated ones on Yelp are super pricey compared to New York. Thankfully we finally found a decent one that didn't look too shabby and was closer to the rates we were accustomed to. At Forever Beauty Salon, men haircut starts at $15 and it's an extra $2 if scissors were used to cut the hair. Women haircut starts at $22. I read on yelp that iris is the best so I called to make an appointment with her and she was actually the one who answered. The day came and we drove to the strip mall that it was located at. It's right next to a laundromat and there's a busy supermarket nearby so the area is very lively (at least on the Saturday that we went). We looked inside the salon and instantly got worried. The interior appeared a bit outdated and there were a lot of older customers, so we were worried if they would be able to give my boyfriend a stylish haircut. But we took the leap and waited about 30-40 minutes past our appointment because iris had a late client. During our time there, we saw she was able to cut a short hair style on a middle aged lady's, a buzz cut on a younger male, and a 2000s kpop style haircut on my boyfriend. Though we had to wait a while, she spent 30-40 minutes cutting my boyfriend's hair. He said she was very meticulous and put a lot of effort into it. She even taught him how to style his hair for volume with just water lmao. We were both happy with the outcome and my boyfriend would definitely go back when the time comes. read more

This place is terrible. Went in for a haircut with Donna. She got a phone call to pick her up at 5pm and she rushed my hair. I went back home and saw that one side is longer than the other. Cost ended up being $22 for a woman's haircut Stay away from Donna. read more

I just got a haircut here. Iris is really good. The prices are very affordable. I was happy to see that I can get my nails done there too. I'm only giving this place 4 stars because sometimes it was hard to communicate. So if you speak Mandarin, you're in good shape. Also, there was a strong food smell that I wish wasnt there. The staff are nice and responsive. Iris always does a great job. I can show her an image of any style and she is able to replicate the look. Walked-in on a Sunday afternoon wanting to get my year-old asymmetrical bob cut to a normal bob. Iris wasn't busy so I was in-and-out in less than 30 minutes. I was a bit nervous since I've had bad experiences with hair salons in the past berating me for daring to touch my own scissors to my hair, but Yelp wasn't wrong and Iris was very nice. There wasn't much conversation but I'm okay with that. She started by chopping my hair to an even length using thinning shears which kind of worried me initially. I have pretty fine and low density hair so I wanted to maintain a full look and keep as much volume. Once my hair was no longer asymmetrical she switched to normal scissors and electric hair razor to get the perfect line from every side. In the end my cut was $19 pre tip + credit card fee. Bring cash or a debit card to pay with. It seems they heavily prefer cash. I ended up paying with my Discover credit card because I didn't have the rest of my wallet with me, but Iris made an exception with the addition of the card fee. read more

I go here to get my hair straightened. The atmosphere of the place is not so good.. its a bit old but apart from that the service is really good. I have a coarse and a curly hair and the owner does a great job of straightening it as smoothly as possible. Its cheap and much valued service. This salon is very close to my home and so I go there on weekends. Early walk-ins are recommended but you can call and fix appointments. The place gets a bit busy on weekends. Have heard that they do very good facials though I haven't tried them yet. But 5 stars for their service. Never been disappointed with their hair-do. I got my hair and makeup done at this salon for my wedding. Iris did my hair and the other lady (sorry, forgot her name) did my makeup. My mom also had her hair done here for my wedding. Everything turned out excellent. I have long hair. Iris did a complicated up-do for me. It looked great, and stayed in position. I had it done in the morning. By 11pm that night, when the wedding was over and after a couple changes of dresses, my hair-do was still in place. The same goes for makeup. It lasted the whole day without having to touch up. I normally don't wear any makeup. When I first saw my made up face, I was a bit surprised. But the lady said give it a few minutes to let the makeup "sink in". After which, I thought it looked quite nice. Everyone at the wedding loved it too. This place charges very reasonable rates. The professional wedding hair and makeup artists charge $450-600 for one-time session. i couldn't reason paying that much for something that only lasts one day. So I thought of Iris. I knew she also runs Forever Salon, and asked her if she did wedding hair and makeup. The rest was "history". I plan to try out Iris for my next haircut. I stopped by around 7:00 PM on a Sunday, which it turns out was closing time. The owner, Iris, welcomed me and told me she could cut my hair even though I arrived a bit late. Iris is really friendly and told me about how she and her family owns this business plus three foot massage places. She did a great job on the hair cut and took her time even though it was the end of her workday. I'll definitely go there again in the future for hair cuts, next time earlier in the day. Walk in and ask the store how much is for a haircut, the owner said $xx, so my mom just stayed and wait for her turn to do the haircut. After she's done and about to pay for the service, the store lady changes her tone and said, oh, this style we need to charge more, it's $xy (which was just trim it back to original short hair style, and my mom's hair was just a bit out of style, not long!) It's okay if she initially told us it's $xy or whatever the price it should be, just be honest! You shouldn't say one price first then immediately raise the price after the haircut! I was greated by a very happy smiling man ( I was a bit surprised). As he walked me to the the massage room - it all came together. A dark room with soothing music and a line of comfy chairs! First he soaked my feet in piping hot water - during which time I received a face, scalp, head, shoulder, neck, arm massage. Wow - wasn't expecting that for a "foot" massage. Then right into my wonderous foot/calf massage. Pressure was perfect. After he had me turn over and he massaged my back and legs, once again. When we were done he offered my hot or cold water - which he then brought to me. 1 hour exactly - no gimmicks! $20 BUCKS!!!!!!! BTW: Your clothes stay on. Your body massage is through clothes. This is an amazing place. The best Hair Salon I have ever been to!! Ask for iris to cut your hair. She does an absolutely amazing job and charges at very reasonable price and takes her time to cut my hair. The old lady, who seems to be the proprietor, swiped my card, says it didn't go through, swiped 2 more times, finally told me, I have no funds, which was a surprise to me . So I drove to the nearest BoA bank, on the way I checked thru my phone for my balance and transactions. Turned out she charged me 3x for total of $135.00 including tips.
