In the past year, I have had to put 4 pets to sleep. Initially I chose this place because they weren't a corporation and would allow me to witness the cremation to make sure I get back my pets remains without a doubt in my mind. My first 2 cremations were on the same day. I dealt with Bethany on that day. I would say things went smoothly, other than I had to identify after which side each cat was on, since they didn't put the metal ID tags in with them. They kept them outside of the furnace during the cremation. Also my last name is DAVIS. On one cremation certificate, they got my last name right, and on the other they put Alvarez. These again were cremated on the same day at the same time, and those last names are not the same or similar. The second time I went there I dealt with Bethany again. Things went smoothly, and I again got to witness my pet being put in as well as taken out of the furnace, to make sure that I knew without a doubt in my mind that was my pet. The last time I will ever go to this place I dealt with Tom or Tim. I don't know and I don't care. I made an appointment to get my dog, who I lost rather suddenly and she was my most favorite pet ever, at 9:30 AM for literally just one day later. He took all of my information to avoid having to do that right before cremation. I arrived and I'm pretty sure not only he forgot I had an appointment that I had literally scheduled the day before, but he had misplaced all my and my dog's information. I had to repeat it again. Then they messed around for 45 minutes in their original furnace room before finally being ready to cremate my dog at 10:15 in a new furnace room which I hadn't been in before. I had to ask to see my pet before they put her in the furnace, which I hadn't had to do with Bethany. I also asked for a specific paw to have a paw print made of. I even explained why, because she had cancer and had 2 toes removed from that foot. After 2 hours, a tin of ashes was brought out to me. I did not get to witness my dog being removed from the furnace. I will never be 100% sure that these are in fact my dog's ashes. Then he proceeds to tell me oops, he didn't tell the girl who made the paw print which one to use, and they used the wrong paw, not the one I specifically asked for and explained why. Too late now, my dog is a pile of ashes, supposedly in this tin. And on top of all that, he insulted me by saying "Because of this mistake we are giving you a certificate for 10% off any of our glass sculptures". Except I know that they put that exact certificate in every packet they give to everyone who goes there. He was just trying to pull more money for me at my emotional expense, trying to play it off like it was a special discount to make up for their very major mistakes. If you actually felt bad you would have given me a percentage off the cremation which was an awful experience for me. You cannot say anything to justify this. I still have other pets, who knows when they will die, but I would rather drive out of state than to ever go back and experience subpar service, insult, and major mistakes. Please do your pet a favor and go elsewhere. read more

I highly recommend Forever Above. They are compassionate, caring & understanding, & very professional. I am so glad that I was pro-active and had everything ready and setup for the heartbreaking loss of my/our BooMan. He was 2 months & 10 days from turning 22. We almost lost him 5 times, but he always rebounded, but we also knew he couldn't live forever. I got online & Forever Above had excellent referrals. I didn't exactly know what I was looking for when I contacted Forever Above. They were so polite & understanding, & guided me through the services they offered. I really felt better after setting things up with them. I called them a couple of times when he wasn't in good shape, & they assured me whenever I needed them, they would be there. About 6:30am October 13th, my/our BooMan went to heaven. I called Forever Above, & Tom arrived shortly after, & was very comforting to all of us. He was courteous & respectful, & treated BooMan with grace & compassion as he carried him out. Once he was in the van, we said our final goodbyes, & Tom gave each of us a hug, & told us how sorry he was for our loss. He told us BooMan could be coming back home as early as Friday, & I picked him up Saturday morning at their very nice & comfortable office. They have went out of their way to make this as easy on us as possible, & I can't even begin to tell you how much it was appreciated. Their service is excellent from start to finish. I would give them 10 stars if I could. read more

Losing a pet is a horrible, gut-wrenching experience. It's so bad, in fact, the aftermath makes some think twice about getting another dog or cat. When I lost my 13-year-old German Shepherd, Ajax, in January 2020, I was heartbroken. When the time came to make his final arrangements, I chose Forever Above - and it was a terrific decision. Forever Above is a family-owned company, based in Westfield, Indiana. Hours prior to Ajax's death, I called Forever Above and was connected to one of the co-owners, Tom. Tom treated me with great compassion over the telephone. He urged me to take the time I needed, and he was able to provide a complimentary pickup later in the day. When he arrived at my home that evening, he didn't rush me through saying my final farewell to Ajax. While removing the body via stretcher, he took special care to treat it with care and respect. I know that similar care was taken during the cremation process. In the coming days, Tom's wife, Bethany, and I corresponded several times regarding Ajax's cremains. Like her husband, she was very kind. Fortunately, she was able to send the urn to me via mail for a nominal fee. As I reside on the near-Northside of Indianapolis, I was happy to avoid driving to Westfield for the pickup. When the package arrived, I was impressed with the presentation of the urn, certificates of death and cremation, as well as lovely paw print impression. Forever Above does not use baked clay for the impressions; instead, it is made using a hard foam. While it has the look of clay, it isn't breakable. This is a perfect method for such an irreplaceable item. I found Forever Above's prices to be very reasonable. They have various packages, designed to meet any budget. They also sell many keepsakes for the remembrance of your pet. If you're faced with the unfortunate death of a beloved pet, I highly recommend the compassionate, high quality services of Forever Above. read more

We contacted Forever Above when our chihuahua, Little Bit, passed away. While speaking with Bethany in the telephone, she was so sweet and caring. She explained the options that were available. Although their service includes pick up and delivery, we opted to take Little Bit to the location. Bethany met us at the door and was very empathetic toward us. We had a very peaceful feeling when we arrived. We really felt confident that Little Bit was going to get the attention and respect he deserved. When I was considering creating my guinea pig I was trying to find the right one that would assure me that my fur baby would be in safe, and caring hands. My mom found Forever Above's website as I was preparing before it was too late. I called Forever Above's number on their website and a kind man whose name I have lost answered the phone. I was worried the person on the other end would be rude and I was surprised and relieved that the comforting voice had answered. He helped me through the information he needed and was very professional, he informed me it would be up to an hour. At twelve in the morning on Monday the man who had answered the phone opened the back door to the van and let me put my Furbaby inside. He was very polite and respectful of the circumstances, he came up to my front porch to walk me through their process. I paid right there immediately and the man was patient as I arranged my money. He then walked me through all of the options provided and even went above and beyond and answered some random questions my mom had. They were quick with the cremation process and called me yesterday. I didn't answer the phone as I didn't recognize the number. Rachel then texted me, and from there I called their number on the website. I was pleased with another caring employee who helped me schedule a time to pick my pet's ashes up. They never said your pet's ashes are ready to be picked up which meant a lot because they treated it as if she were still here. I picked her up today 12/29/2021, I called ahead to let them know I was on the way when I arrived Rachel the receptionist was just as polite in person as she was over the phone. I received the ashes of my pet, a paw print, a paw print in ink on a card, and a little bag of hair which may seem weird but was comforting. Forever Above will always be my go-to reference for a place to have a pet cremated, I will be forever grateful to the staff who help me preserve my Furbaby and the love and happiness that she brought me and the rest of my family. Thanks to everyone who had a hand in this process I am forever grateful to you. read more

This review is about 2 months overdue, but anyone who has lost a 4-legged family member knows it takes time before you can recount the experience. With that said, it's important I leave a few words here about Forever Above. We lost our boy, Maxwell, of 17.5 years this past January. We were beyond blessed to have him as long as we did, but it also made saying goodbye that much harder. When the time came, we were fortunate enough to have a Vet come to our home where we could say goodbye comfortably and surrounded by lots of love. Afterwards, we had arranged for Forever Above to come to our home to take care of his remains. To say that Forever Above was professional, respectful, and unbelievably compassionate would be an understatement. From the moment they arrived, to the moment we had him back in our hands, they were amazing. They were patient with us as we cried and continued to give just one more "goodbye" again and again. Not once did they try to sell us on a package, or an accessory, or anything. Forever Above picked him up on a Friday afternoon and he was back home with us that following Sunday. Sure, the urn was beautiful and the price was reflective of what came with our package, but in this time of grief, it's the service, the interactions, the compassion that really makes this company top of its class. We will always have dogs in our home and after the experience we had with Forever Above, we will never use another service when the difficult time comes to say goodbye. I simply cannot recommend them enough. XXOO read more
