My 3yr old dog died unexpectedly in June. From the moment we contacted them they were nothing but…read morekind! I mostly spoke with Angela but the other Stagg I encountered or spoke with on the phone were so patient and had no problem answering questions no matter how many times I called. Angela always followed up and things were sent over when the Staff said they would be. This was such a heartbreaking experience for my family but they made things go so smooth from getting his body to them and going through the entire process. They let know what to expect the hours after his death and how to properly preserve him until we dropped off. Just little things that really mattered in the moment. Angela made sure we had plenty of keepsakes of our Big Boy and was so accommodating with helping us finalize minute details. I never had to go through anything like this and never realized all these services were available. Our pets are really our family members and they didn't make me feel odd for crying on the phone or wanting to remember my pet. I have an 11yr terrier and I will definitely use them when her time comes. I would 100% recommend them!!

It is an understatement to say that losing a pet is an unpleasant experience. When the time comes…read morefor your beloved dog or cat to pass on, like with a person, it becomes necessary to see that their remains are cared for properly. When I was faced with the loss of my own dog, multiple people recommended that I have her arrangements handled by Homeward Bound. I am glad that I followed their advice. Homeward Bound provides a variety of memorial services for your pet and has multiple package options to suit your needs. Personally, I chose the company's standard package, which included my dog's cremation, a beautiful wooden urn (with memorial plaque), and four bookmarks that featured my dog's picture, hair, paw and nose prints. I also received a certificate of her cremation. Homeward Bound also picked up my dog's body from the veterinarian's office, which needless to say, took the burden of that unpleasant task from my shoulders. The company also has more (and less) advanced packages, including preparing your pet for burial. They can even provide a memorial service - if that's your wish. Homeward Bound's prices are exceptionally affordable, and they can suit almost any budget. When you contact the business, you will undoubtedly speak to their wonderful staff member, Colleen. While you may not be able to immediately reach her, if you leave a message, she will almost immediately get back with you. While I don't know her personally, Colleen seems to be a true lover of animals and people alike. From my personal experience, she made a tough situation easier. When I collected the ashes, I noted that she included a small baggie of my dog's hair. This was not something that was listed as being included in the package that I ordered; Colleen just thought I would like it. She was wrong: I loved it! Using the services of Homeward Bound is not something to which you will look forward. However, when it comes time to make memorial arrangements for your beloved cat, dog, or even your horse, be sure to consider this company. I know I will.

Loyal And True - Sophie's Resting Place

When it came time to make arrangements, my Amazing Animal Caregiver Team at Community Pet Health Care in Zionsville recommended Loyal and True Pet Cremation Services and I could not be more appreciative and thankful for that recommendation. From the very beginning, their genuine compassion was apparent. Located in Anderson, they sent the kindest, most respectful individual to gently handle Sophie's remains and take her on her journey for cremation. When the time came, they went above and beyond by bringing her back to my veterinary team in Zionsville, sparing me from making the drive from Indianapolis to Anderson. Much to my surprise, Sophie was returned in a beautifully carved wooden box, accompanied by a clay paw print keepsake, a Passing Certificate, the Rainbow Bridge Story, and even thoughtful guidance on how to navigate the grieving process. (The painting you see is my way to process my grief and my way to honor Ms. Soph). I was super appreciative of their follow-up call to check in and to genuinely see how I was doing. While I hope I won't need their services again any time soon, I know with absolute certainty that when the time comes, Loyal and True will be my first call! Thank you Loyal and True!!!!

They returned the cremains in a timely manner (~ 10 days) and included a paw print, as well as a nice folder with a poem about the Rainbow Bridge (which still makes me cry a little), a certificate of passing and a sheet to document a tribute to my pet's life. They also include some tips on how to grieve the loss of your pet. The box which contained my baby's cremains appears to be solid wood with a pretty carved floral design on the top. You'll also receive a gold engraved name plate to affix to the box, if you choose to do so. The ashes are contained in a velvet pouch inside, and includes an identifying marker. It appears you can even publish an obituary for your pet on their website. L&T provides excellent service and a nice package to serve as a remembrance of my fur baby's life.

Pets Remembered treated my pet with dignity for cremation. The manager was pleasant over the phone…read moreand sympathetic. The ashes were available efficiently and it was a nice surprise that they wrote me a note including that they donated to Purdue in memory of my pet. The only con was that when I went in to drop my pet off, the older lady working there had no clue what she was doing. She knew she didn't know what she was doing and she said this and apologized multiple times. I hope this lady was a fill-in and not a regular. She kept referring to my pet as "it". How much does "it" weigh? I understand it's just a body at that point but as the pet owner, that's not how we feel. Please say "how much does your pet weigh?" Or use the pet's name. Also, when the older lady called to tell us the ashes were ready, she said "Hi, I'm from Pets Removed......I mean, Pets Remembered." Seriously?!? My spouse and I laughed about this later so it provided some laughter to an otherwise sad situation. But I would not have this lady do client facing work. I also wish I had a paw print made. This is not really Pets Remembered's fault. But I didn't know it was an option until the day I took my pet in to drop them off. I guess I wish it had been mentioned over the phone so I would have had some time to think about whether I wanted it or not. I did not like having to decide on the spot with the lady who had no clue about anything. And as a result of this I feel like I made the wrong decision. There was a man working there too and he seemed more knowledgeable.

I took advantage of being a new customer and received a free day pass for doggy day care. In preparation for a upcoming travel, I dropped her off for the day, which included an assessment. Unfortunately Sora was not ready to be in general population and spent her day in a private room with scheduled independent playtime. The following week, I arranged daily boarding so Sora could be home every night. I called or texted daily to check on her. The staff was always quick to respond, providing detailed info to put me at ease. My husband would also provide me with nightly updates. The progress Sora had over the week, was amazing! She was able to build a heightened level of confidence that included daily excitement during her morning drop offs. I stopped by for a visit after my return, and I was happy to see she had made human friends that shows her a great deal of love. I 100% trust our Sora Belle to stay at PetSuites, where she will receive the expected level of care, treatment and love as if she was at home.

The whole interaction made me uncomfortable. The Man kept trying to take my dog without understanding what I wanted.
