Wide variety of products. Great selection. Normally well organized and clean. This most recent visit I was out shoppping with my mother and sister. We were looking for cute items for our mom's upcoming birthday trip. We were fine during our shop but once we went to checkout we encountered a horrible manager. Older Spanish male. He was very short with his staff and customers. An item we had was not price tagged so the mamabger was paged when he came up he seemed annoyed and very rude. He got on the walkie talkie and all of a sudden he had a photo of a price tag on his cell phone and showed it to our mother and said " this is what the item cost" The item was a swim suit skirt cover up. The price tag he showed us was for $40 We knew that couldn't be the price for he item. We asked if they could bring the item to the register. He insisted it was the item. We decided we'd pay for our other items and go downstairs to see the item when we got down there we were correct it was the price of a set. We did not have the set. When customers are given false prices it's not ok. Management should be trained in handling customers with patience and honesty. 4ever 21 is good, but 5ever 21 and 6ever 21 are even better. Forever 21 is one of my favorite stores, and I often shop here especially when shopping for my girlfriend, but also secretly sometimes when shopping for myself. What I love about these stores is how many options they have, and also how sexy a lot of the outfits are. Provocative and delicious. My favourite type of clothing. They're not cheap but they're also not as expensive as the brand name stores like VS Pink and the like. This one is inside the Springfield Town Center which is a mall that I come to all the time because it's close to where my uncle lives. Lots of rich girls shop here. read more

I didn't have any issues shopping at this store tonight. One of the items I wanted to purchase was on the wrong rack so I thought it was going to be half of what it was priced at. However, that isn't really the fault of the staff (although it was a summer tank top and since it's December I thought it's placement on the sale rack made sense) Overall the staff was friendly and I was happy with my experience. Had a horrible experience returning some items. The manager (young African American female, wished I got her name) is an extremely rude person and how does one even talk to their customers that way. Forever 21, teach your managers how to talk to their customers. I NEVER shop from Forever 21.. probably back when I was a teenager, years years ago, now I know why and the one experience I had was awful. Will NEVER again. The return policy was not explained to me, that select items were not allowed to be returned and some are final sale. I had TIGHTS OR PANTY HOSE. Not UNDERWEAR. My private area was not touching that. The manager proceeded to SHAME ME and say how do you know if it doesn't fit you or isn't comfortable on you, since i took it out of the package. She told me why did I open it, since it's an intimate. Umm how am I supposed to try it without opening it?? Lol. Then she realized I'm trying to make a return... and that I didn't take it out, while being in the store. Even then she didn't apologize for misunderstanding (her associate could've been more clear) and still said in a rude manner, that I can't return it, since it's an intimate item. Ok fine. If I can't return it, that's fine but no need for that nasty attitude. Even the jewelry I returned she inspected it then took it back. After so many years, I shopped from forever and never will again. This chain will go out of business, like it did almost so many times almost. I got the 350 questions on why I would return my item and I couldn't just blurt out that everything in this store is not made for women with big busts. Their selection is pretty good. However, the staff is what really disappoints me. I have been there on a few occasions now where I will wait in an extremely long line & there will only be one register open. I work in retail, so I understand the pressures of being on register, but also, I understand that when there are customers in line, you should have multiple people on register to move things along more quickly. As for tonight, I find it hard to believe that they were understaffed on a Friday night, as I saw multiple employees walking around. The staff member I have the most concern with is the one I encounter almost every time I have my items rung up. I believe he is the store manager. Anyways, when I went there tonight, he was very disassociated from me, as he was having a conversation with his co-worker and giving me little to no eye contact. He stated the the amount of change I had to give him but didn't finish because he coughed. So when I waited for him to finish, he gave me this look like, "ahemmmm?". Then, after he gave me my merchandise, I said "thank you" and he just yelled "NEXT!". The thing that bothers me is that with the customer in front of me, he was incredibly nice saying, "have a great day ladies!" and then the customer after me he says, "how are you ladies doing tonight?" I swear, every time I encounter him he is just rude to me! I don't know him at all, yet I feel like he hates me? You're probably thinking I'm reading too much into it, but listen. I work in customer service and I know what it's like to deal with difficult customers. But when you get customers that are polite or indifferent/don't give you a hard time, you appreciate that. I try my absolute best to be considerate to those who work in customer service because I've been there. The clothes are fine and it's a nice store because it's new. Definitely experienced better. Cons: -Sale section is WAYY too cramped. There is no way I could even put stuff back, or even take stuff out. -The service at the check-out is very slow. It takes them a very long time to put the clothes into the bag, and during my visit, there were only two cashiers when the line was very long. One cashier did cash only and the other did credit. This was VERY frustrating to me as the one doing cash in front of me had like at least 15 pieces of clothing and people behind me paid first, because they had a credit card. This is almost like cutting in line. It seemed unfair, and shouldn't even be called a line if the last the person is allowed to cut the first person in line due to the fact that they have a credit card. My cousin and I debated even putting the clothes back on the rack to avoid the very slow line. Pros: -GREAT pieces of clothing. I found the exact skirts that I wanted in two different colors! -Amazing sale as well, or an amazing price. Although the sale section was cramped, it was somehow organized with coats and jackets being in one area and shirts and skirts generally being in one area. Nice large jewelry section as well. Better organized than Tyson's. Overall: Products; great. Service; barely proficient. read more

Forever 21 has Re-Opened at Springfield Mall YAYYYYY!!!!!! The new store has 2 levels, with plenty of room and lots of up to date fashion. The biggest issue there is only one set of registers and they're on the top floor of the store. The line to get to these set of registers was all the way out the door. In essence I put the items I was about to purchase down and left out. There was no way I was waiting in a line like that to purchase 1 blouse or anything else for that matter. My suggestion, if they do not put registers on both floors "prepare to lose business". Overall a very nice store. read more

A store like this is great for a gal like me, who gets tired of her clothes every couple of months and purchases an entire new wardrobe! The Tysons and Pentagon locations seem to have a lot more traffic, which is my theory on why I can find much more selection at the Springfield location. My experience was unacceptable and the only reason I gave it one star is because the prices were low. Apparently select lingerie is final sale non returnable. I was purchasing a onesie for my 22 year old daughter and I bought 3 different sizes to determine the right fit. The cashier did not tell me it was a final sale even though I told him what I was doing. The first onesie I picked up was a large, white and there were no other sizes. The cashier told me I could order a different size online. He did not tell me there were racks of different colored ones on the lower level. I discovered this after I purchased the white one. I then proceeded to buy 2 more onesies of different styles and sizes M and S. He again did not mention final sale. No where on the onesies did it say lingerie. One week later I tried to return the long sleeve onesie and told it was non returnable. The manager then said I could exchange it for a similar priced item. What? It's a 2 floor store and only has 1 register on the top floor. When I went to check out at 3pm on a Saturday there was only 1 person on the register and at least 20 customers in line. Needles to say I dropped the items I was going to purchase & left after waiting 10 minutes in line. The line made no progress and no additional cashiers jumped on registers. This store is just short of a dumpster fire and drives home why I stopped shopping at brick-n-mortar F21 stores. I walked in at 10:30AM on a Saturday morning and this store was a mess. Having worked in retail, that told me no one cleaned or faced the store at closing the night before. The fact that the night manager let the employees walk out of there looking like that, means that night manager should be re-evaluated. The employees are often young (late teens, early twenties) and often do not want to help. I waited at a register for 20 mins to pick up an online order before any one even acknowledged I was standing there. This could be because they had one person working the register. The layout of the store is off putting as well. You have to go downstairs to try on clothes but upstairs to pay. Makes zero sense. Jewelry section, disaster. Displays, undone. Section labeled lingerie, was home to the unkept clearance clothing. Lastly, the dressing room housed racks and racks of go-backs that were not put away the night before. I rarely write reviews, but their approach to returns is so far outside the norm that it appears they know their products are poor and making returns impossible is their best course of action. I ordered two white bathing suits for my daughter in an effort to find something she could wear for her baptism; I also ordered a $5 phone case to reach the minimum for free shipping. The phone case broke within 2 hours. Ok fine, it was cheap. But the two bathing suits were completely see through (and fit poorly) and would have been completely inappropriate for a baptism. There was no packing receipt in the order, so I went online to start the return process, assuming there would be something I could print out there. Online, there was no option to print a packing receipt but there was an option for a return label---at a cost of $5.99. So I thought ok fine, I'll return it to the brick'n'mortar instead of paying to return. After standing in a lengthy line at the store, I was informed by the clerk that one of the items can only be returned via mail because "it's not ours". This isn't Amazon; there is no way to tell you're buying from a subcontracted company online and that the store won't support the item. Ok fine, so I attempted to return the other item. I was told I needed the initial confirmation email. You can't look it up via credit card like nearly every other store in the universe? Nope, that email is required. Ok fine, so I found all emails on my phone related to this order (for some reason, the clerk decided to wander off and process other people and I suddenly had a new clerk). I handed my phone to the clerk and he said no that's not right, the email should have a bar code in it. Well, I don't know what to tell you---that's the confirmation email I got. Here are all the other emails. Nope, I can't use this, he tells me. The first clerk, while dealing with her other customers, shouts out that I need to call them. I said, wait, *I* need to call them?? She says yeah we can't do it. So let me get this straight...the company can't be bothered to include a packing receipt with their online orders, as is standard practice. Then, they apparently don't include in their email confirmation whatever the heck they have told their sales crew to demand. Then, they in no way empower their sales crew to actually HELP the customer...there's no way to look up the order by order number or credit card or anything like that even though I have the email and the item is in the original packaging complete with tags. Nope; the attitude seems to be "screw you, dumb consumer who foolishly provided us your credit card number. we don't believe in customer service and we certainly don't stand behind our products". So I said forget it; I'll donate the bathing suits to Goodwill and make sure the world knows how badly they serve the customer. It was an expensive lesson, but my family will never shop there again. read more

The selection and layout of the store is the best I've EVER seen of a Forever 21, I was thoroughly impressed in that aspect and because of the huge selection and ease of shopping, that was the ONLY reason I actually bought anything. The woman at the fitting room was SO rude! She made me feel like I was interrupting her and that giving her the clothes I didn't want was above her and I was insulting and annoying her by giving them to her (also,I had to go out of the area even to find her instead of leaving them in the room so I was actually being a polite customer but you would have thought I asked her to scrape gum off my feet). I'm pretty sure she also rolled her eyes and looked around to be clear I was handing her my clothes WITH A SMILE! After that I shopped the rest of the store and would have bought a lot more but I didn't want to have to deal with her again to try them on, and since I live 3 hours away, I knew I couldn't just come back or return them. She was the worst, most blantantly rude employee but the rest made it known they hated customers just as much. While looking at racks of clothing, MULTIPLE times employees continued to stock the racks, completely and obviously getting in my way so I couldn't continue to shop the rack. Of course, when they didn't apologize or make any effort to allow me (THE CUSTOMER) to continue to shopping I moved on to the next rack. Forever 21 lost out on so many sales that day by me alone. I wound up spending $80 but planned on and could have spent up to $200 or more. The fact that I was completely turned off by the fitting room lady and the fact that I was interrupted multiple times by employees as I tried to shop, forced me to not give in or take any more time on purchases. The only nice woman was an hispanic manager, even if she did greet me 3 times as if I was a new customer, at least the effort was there. read more

Wow - what a disappointment. I had to leave because the dressing rooms were so full of dust and dirt that my allergies were acting up...which rarely happens. I asked an associate how often they clean and she replied, while smacking on her chewing gum, "I don't know, I'm only here to put you in a dressing room." Needless to say I won't be going back. Yes, Springfield Mall is convenient but I'd much rather make the drive to Tyson's Corner or Pentagon to avoid rude customer service, unorganized space and a filthy establishment. read more

We visited this store at the beginning of the summer and it was in pristine shape...clean, organized with plenty of helpful workers! Today we went and it was a WRECK!! Clothes were strewn every where, couldn't find a worker to save my life and then once I got to the register, the clerk, after watching me write my check, said, "I don't think our check machine works. Not only is this store always messy, even during the early mornings but most of their employees are horrible and lazy. If you ask them a question about their merchandise they will act super lost and won't know how to guide you. Their store manager is even worse and unprofessional. I avoid coming here and would rather go to the Tysons or fair oaks locations since those are usually more organized but even when they're not, the employees usually go check for specific items themselves. Plus they always have at least three registers open. The Springfield location needs to train their staff. Gossiping & eye rolling....yeah I think there's something wrong with their atmosphere. I know F21 can get very crazy and it is impossible to keep the store clean, because of the large variety of clothing there is. But I've been here about 8-10x so far, and I thought the employment and staff would improve but no... the cashier is always extremely slow, so the line is so long ALL the time. Whether it may be a slow day or busy weekend, there is only 1 or 2 (at the max) cashiers available and they are all turtles. I feel like the organization of F21 clothes here could be set up better. They basically organize a lot of the clothes by COLOR; that is the most laziest way to section clothes. If you have ever been to the F21 at Fair Oaks Mall, you'll know what I'm talking about. Fair Oak's F21 is pretty organized considering its huge huge store. It is 3-4x bigger than this one here and they organize the clothes by style. Casual section, dressy section, sporty section, etc. At Springfield Mall's F21, all the clothes are just there with not much organization. I can say there is definitely SOME sort of organization here sometimes, but not impressed.. at all. I love F21, but please hire more employees or something! Get it together! read more

the store is great itself, i find everything i need pretty quickly. i love coming here to shop and even just look around. the main thing that disappointed me was their staff. my friend was trying on some clothes and the woman working there wouldn't let me wait in front of her dressing room!! then we went up to check out and the two workers were talking about their personal lives instead! worst trip ever. but their weekday staff is great and helpful. don't go to this store on the weekends. read more
