Done. Back to business.) Deja Vu is one of those stores where you will find something.... if you look long enough. There doesn't seem to be a consistent style of clothing here, so be prepared to find examples of every era. This is the kind of place I would go if I were looking for something for a period costume and didn't have all that much time to shop. There's a ton of things here, although there is a lot of variation in quality. My biggest qualm was with the jewelry, which felt way too overexcited-about-the-holidays-and-missed-when-big-brooches-went-out-of-style-ey for me. I honestly enjoy any opportunity to point at something and giggle, but this was too easy. The coat section has some honestly gorgeous finds. I am personally not a big fan of the fur coats, but I ran in to a couple of wool ones that I would love to add to my closet. I'm going to go with the coral reef metaphor for this place: there's tons of variation and something for every animal to eat if it spends enough focused time hunting. Just don't get eaten by an octocloth before you do. I bid you happy hunting.

Be prepared to pay prices to match quality. Things are not cheap here. Also, as in most vintage stores, you won't find really big sizes. Most run in the M range, even though some are marked large, they aren't. Typical vintage. Run smaller. I am 5'5" 140, average size and BMI, most tops would not fit me here. I had a bit of trouble finding it, today they did not have their sign out (I saw it folded up in the store), and google maps guided me a couple storefronts down. Keep looking. It's on sidewalk level and looks like a vintage store window.

It's connected to the White Castle building, snuggled right near the entrance to the apartments, Penzone, and Orange Theory. They sometimes have mannequins out front to call attention to it but it can be hard to miss. Once inside the staff is incredibly friendly, always providing help and suggestions when needed. The aesthetic of the store is pretty much black and white. I've never seen a lot of color here and when I do, it tends to be more neutral tones. The clothing can be fun and unique or even classy depending on what you're looking for. I will add that it's not very size inclusive. As a size 6 I was having a hard time finding something that was true to size. Overall, it fits nicely in the Short North and prices compare to the other boutiques in the area. It's definitely worth a stop, especially if you are a tiny person that prefers a fairly monochromatic wardrobe.

It might be my new favorite local clothing spot. I was delighted to stumble upon this woman-owned small business this past weekend (how did I not know about this?!). The woman working the counter I am now realizing may be the owner? And she was incredibly charming, chic, and helpful. A perfect stylistic representation of the store itself and the perfect model to display looks that I assume she is choosing/buying herself! I ended up with a super cute black and white denim skirt covered in crescent moons, and two amazing pairs of retro jeans. Epic 90's beige cargo jeans-- totally utilitarian raver badassery-- and black boyfriend-cut also super 90's jeans that somehow make my legs look super long. I seriously can't wait to wear them everything I bought! I pretty much liked everything I tried on and I got my top 3 faves. If you love neutral colors (they ONLY sell neutrals x3) in fresh, funky and retro styles this is 100000000% your store. In one of the pics I saw a little beehive Christmas ornament so thought I would go check it out (my mom is bee anything crazy). I wasn't sure where the GPS was taking me but once I saw the beatiful mural on the side, I knew where I was heading. Really friendly staff and some really cute gifts here. I was promptly greeted when I came in and was offered some coffee or water. I had to pass as it was a quick stop but I really liked the vide here. The shop had a bit of everything including clothing, candles, jewelry, and all sorts of gifts including some gorgeous drinking glasses. Definitely worth browsing just to check it all out. Overall, it looked like the general price point is on the higher end but nothing too outrageous for a boutique shop. I did find the ornament I saw in the picture but I know my mom already has the same one, or one that could pass off as its twin anyway. So many cute gifts and would totally visit again even though I didn't find something this trip. I really had to resist buying something just to buy it (holidays and all) but they have so much cute stuff.

I had traveled from out of town to pick up some unsold items on the last day of my contract. One dress in particular had a security sensor attached -- which signaled to me that they understood its value -- but when they removed the sensor, it sprayed ink all over the white fabric. Despite the damage, they offered me just $22 for the dress, which I later sold on Poshmark for $100 the same day I picked it up. When I voiced my concerns, I was encouraged to speak with someone at the front desk, but the response was dismissive -- simply stating it would be treated as a markdown sale. There was no accountability, and it was clear there would be no resolution. I didn't bother to fight the way they seemed happy to conduct business, as this was my first experience. It was a disappointing experience that showed a lack of care for consigned items at Second Chance. I've learned my lesson and will not be returning. I'd recommend sellers explore other platforms or shops that treat high-value pieces with more respect and offer fairer returns.

Although the workers are nice to their customers, this place will not be worth your time, energy,…read moreand money. I was in my friend's wedding and every time I went in to get it checked, it didn't feel as if any alterations were done unless they were the wrong ones. The pant legs were good one week but needed more waist room and then the next week the legs were too long and the waist hadn't been adjusted. I spent $300 to buy the suit and another $210 in gas money having to continuously go in to the store which was excessive. I was told "you should be able to walk out with it and not try it on, but you can if you want to" and every time I tried it on, it didn't fit right. There ended up being a hole where the seating room is and there was no time for further adjustments since it was the day before the wedding after weeks of going into this place. The hole got bigger as the night went on and the other groomsman also mentioned how the sowing on their pants were cheap quality. You don't get your money's worth from this place and in the end, you most likely won't be happy with the end product.
