The greenery and nature with the sound of water trickling, it's just so calming. Welcome to Idyllwild Gardens, an oasis in the mountains. Right from the entrance, where you are greeted with the lush greeneries that covers the gate, the secret garden of course. You're greeted with a water feature, one of many's. It's like the wizards of Oz with the yellow brick road but instead it's follow the garden mulch. The path will take you to different areas of the places from whatever direction you choose. Depending on where you start, the path will lead you somewhere fun. One way you'll end up at a little shack but inside you're greeted with whimsical beauties of garden trinkets and figurines. While another is more of an apothecary shack. Scattered throughout the gardens with the different shacks, there's magical little shops of all sorts of amazing and beautiful items. From home decors, to jewelries, candles, scents, clothing, crafts and so much more. Different places that offered different things. The garden itself houses so many plants for purchase. Literally walking through, something will definitely catches your eyes. Fruit tress to beautiful flowers shrubs and rose bushes. If you like plants, this is definitely a place that you need to visit up here. Not to leave the indoor plants out, there's another shack that houses all the fun tropical Indoor plants. So much to choose from. Layout of the area has the different section of where you would find things. Pots section, fruit trees, veggies and so on. Even though they have their own little corners, you'll also see some throughout the area on display. Literally walking into the garden, there's something peaceful about this place. Small little cluster where you could just have a little seat and enjoy the place. The staffs are alway so friendly and welcoming. Even popping in for a wander, they'll be something that catches your eyes that needs to come home with you. It's not a crazy big garden area but what's inside, sure packs a major punch. One or the favorite place for me whenever I'm in town. Something so peaceful and relaxing about a stroll through a garden.

The garden decorations/ornaments are amazing! We left with 6-8 butterflies and 2 hanging stone ornaments for the porch. The staff are friendly and courteous, and were a great help in wrapping the hanging stone ornaments that we bought. Wagons are available for shopping.

There was something going on that day when we walked in. They had the back area set up for a live bad and food. I don't know how often this happens, maybe during the weekend. What we like to do is get a bottle and enjoy just lounging there. It was nice out but still pretty warm. The trip was cool off a bit coming from the desert up to the mountain. So outside seating wasn't very tempting at the time. Inside, it's the winery which is pretty massive. Mainly their tasting room with the bar counter and loads of seating. Communal tables as well as group tables throughout the property. There's also a second floor which we didn't go up this time. Inside is also a showroom of artworks and trinkets. Different artists showcasing their work, handmade jewelry laid out through the whole place. Displayed items one after the other. This place was happening today with so many people popping in for some wine. I don't know if the event with the band happens often or just during the weekend but it was great. We ended up just staying inside as it was nice and cool. Picked up a bottle of the Tempranillo and made ourselves at home. The wine is quite tasty and nice. You can do a tasting which I believe is three samples. Or if you just wanted a glass that's also offered but we opted for a bottle. Snacks are also available for purchase if you would a charcuterie boards to accompany your tasting. It's very pet friendly as there were so many pups around. They too like to enjoy the party. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Chatting with the people walking in and sitting next to you. It's a good way to make new friends. The place was lively and everyone was there for the same thing. Good company, great wine and a fun afternoon out. With the artwork and all the items display, I don't know if they're there permanently or on rotate seasonally. But walking throughout and seeing everything on display, it was great. If you haven't been, it's worth a stop to have a nice tasting or a glass. A favorite of ours whenever we're in Idyllwild.
