It is a nice intimate theater with nary a bad seat in the house. I really enjoyed my experience watching a play here. The cast was a fun bunch and all the staff inside were helpful and friendly. A great community feel to it. So, buy a ticket online and support this special local theater. Enjoy a meal before a show ( get reservations because it can be busy). Do many good choices. Parking: Don't be afraid there is parking, but not always easy to find. Fear not! Make an offering to your preferred parking demi-god and a space should open. Don't lose your faith and pre plan you arrival to give yourself plenty of time to find a space.

And I was a bit surprised at the condition of the theater. Most significantly, when I watched Project Hail Mary yesterday, the image was very misaligned with the screen. At the top and bottom, it spilled beyond the screen by a good foot. And the sides, it fell short of the edges of the screen by a half foot. On the right hand side, masking material was simply missing from the screen setup. In a charming local theater like this, I'm not expecting big theater video and audio quality (and neither are, and both are adequate). But the setup last night seemed janky, so much so that it makes me less likely to visit again.

And the ornate details and artwork on the auditorium walls and ceiling made the place look like a castle from the inside. The bouncer to the left told them to be quiet but they didn't listen. They had been distracting for most of the show but I wish the workers took it more seriously. There were many of us that kept gesturing for them to keep quiet and nothing changed. If they didn't listen to the bouncer and it kept happening, they should have just kicked them out. This kind of dampened my experience since there is no management for the experience so if I'm going to go to a show and people can just do whatever, then I'd rather not go. I'll pass on this venue.

I was having such a bad time that I just wanted out as they had destroyed my movie going experience. When I wanted my money back I found out they were going to only give 2/3 of my purchase back. They informed me that they have no resposibility to the ticket service and the ticket service will not refund once the movie starts. He told me that it was my problem. It took me three days to get hold of the owner and when I did, it was to infomr him that I would never set foot in that theater again.

Before the…read moremovie, I was looking for an outlet to charge my phone and found one next to the elevator near the theater entrance. Standard food and drink offerings were available at the concessions stand with no lines on a slow Saturday afternoon, and a few small tables with seating in the lobby. The auditorium opened about 25 minutes before the listed showtime, then 12 minutes of previews before the start of the feature film. For a non-busy day, auditorium 1 wasn't cleaned very well. Found popcorn and crumbs on my seat and the one next to me, even on the one in front of me, as well as on the ground... not a lot, but it was noticeable. The elevation is minimal, so if someone was sitting in front of me, their head would have probably blocked my view. I did however appreciate that there was ample space between rows. No reclining seats, but they were comfortable and in good condition, with cupholders. No problems with picture or audio, and perfect comfortable temperature inside. A no-frills theater with old school charm and lovely artwork and decor to add a nice touch to my viewing experience. And the movie I saw was out of this world, just what I would expect from Steven Spielberg.

The kiosk to print online tickets was broken, which meant everyone had to wait in line at the concession stand just to get tickets. Then, since we had not visited in a while, we were not familiar with the layout anymore. Our movie was in Theater 1, but the numbering/signage was unclear. We saw Theater 2, but there was no visible number for Theater 1 nearby, leaving us second guessing whether we were in the right place. Once inside, the theater itself felt very worn down. The seats were so worn they looked dirty, and there were no food trays. I did like how far back the recliners went, but the farther you reclined, the more a barrier in front blocked the bottom portion of the screen. We also paid for the Dolby sound experience because my husband appreciates good audio quality, and he immediately noticed that not all of the surround speakers were being used, particularly the rear speakers. That noticeably took away from the movie experience. Overall, this theater feels neglected and run down. It is disappointing to see what was once a thriving theater decline so much. Unfortunately, we will not be back.
