I have 3 rescue dogs. I absolutely love them to death. They are the sweetest, most loving animals…read morehere at home. Two of them are my problem children: a Rottweiler mix foster fail who is reactive to bikes and other dogs and occasionally nervous around people like visiting contractors or UPS men, and the other is a 100+ lb Brazilian mastiff rescue from Aruba who is not fond of other dogs. The two of them began showing increasingly worse dog aggression toward other dogs on the trail and while camping, and had attacked several dogs by the time I found Loyal Hound/Juliet. I was at my wit's end, because I had already spent thousands of dollars and tried everything including other trainers at that point with little to no progress. I felt stuck with 2 big problems for the next 6-8 years. I hike at least 3 miles every single day off leash on the trails by my house, and I love to camp with my dogs in the summer, but they became such a liability that walks became stressful and camping became impossible. I finally found Juliet with Loyal Hound, and for our very first session we met at a crowded park and were going to be doing off leash training right away. I was so nervous -- all the triggers were present: other people with dogs on leashes, dogs off leashes, people on bikes, squirrels -- so I was absolutely AMAZED when we were walking my Rottweiler off leash through a gaggle of geese, past people on bikes, and past other dogs within a few minutes with no problems. It was nothing short of a miracle. Within a few sessions, I had both of my dog aggressive dogs walking on and off leash next to me, passing other dogs (sometimes dogs that were even barking at them) on trails safely with no reactivity. I cannot explain in words how much of a difference this has made in my life -- I feel like I got my life back. If you have a dog aggressive dog, this is the place to go. It's WELL worth the investment, and you will be amazed at the difference you will see in your dog. Thank you Loyal Hound & Juliet!!

I have so many amazing things to say about this training with Juliet. I just had a follow up…read moresession, 4 months after our off leash training, because I had gotten a little lax with one of my dogs since I have a 1 year old and things are hectic. Within 5 minutes we were able to re-establish the training methods that work and get Hope back on track with easy leash walking. I am so impressed with her concise easy to follow instructions. I am looking forward to taking my two Samoyeds on walks again while walking my toddler in a stroller without having to worry that Hope will pull us. Trained dogs are safe dogs and I'd pay for the training with Juliet 10x over. Worth every penny! It makes my life easier as a single mom managing all the things to have two dogs that get to enjoy being outside with us because I trust them and they trust me. Don't hesitate if you need help with your dog!

It's worth the hike up for your kids to have experiences you won't be able to find anywhere else in the world with life long core memories that build good character. I HIGHLY recommend enrolling your kids here even if it's for one week day camp, or a focus group. I also LOVE that it's been operating for over 70 years by the same family running it today. You won't find anywhere else that has not only a turn key, organized, professional establishment but that's run by heart, soul, love for the outdoors, community, respect for one another, and tradition. It's also a great place to have your wedding or any special event!!

The owners Lynn and Mike are incredibly easy to work with. All the staff are well trained and very attentive to the children and help stretch their comfort zone in fun challenging activities. This year camp was cancelled due to COVID-19. As an alternative, CMR has been hosting single family activities to ensure social distancing. We took the opportunity to do this and we had a blast. As parents, we really didn't know much about how the kids spent their time on the ranch. Spending time up there made me feel like a kid again. The staff made the whole experience fun and easy. The measures that CMR are taking to reduce exposure to the virus are as good as any place I've seen. They sanitize every piece of equipment and touch point between each family and keep the flushies sparkling. Oh and hundreds of acres to spread out the guests. After several months of quarantine and more to come, CMR's 2020 family program was much needed. It's also worth mentioning that various special needs grants and scholarships will cover the family program.

Jessica with Canine Engineering saved my relationship with my dog, and I am forever grateful for…read moreher, and all of her knowledge, support, and help. I adopted a two year old dog from the humane society (Tynkerbell) who had a lot of unnecessary barking behavior, and was unable to be in public around other people, and dogs. I initially signed up for a Petco training class, where we got kicked out, and was then given information for Canine Engineering. The intake process was very quick, and simple. Jessica was in touch with me the day I sent her an email. Honestly, I did not have much hope going into training. My relationship with Tynkerbell wasn't doing well. But, just a week into working with Jessica, we were already learning so much. All of the skills she taught us were helpful, and were working quickly! By the end of our sessions, we had made significant progress, and my relationship with Tynkerbell was SO much better. Many people in our lives even noticed the change/improvement in Tynkerbell! I truly don't know where we would be without Jessica's help. Even after our sessions have been over, Jessica continues to check-in with us. 10/10, I would recommend Canine Engineering to anyone in need of help! I would give her more than five stars if I could :)

Over several months, we went from me barely being able to walk out the door for a few seconds to being able to confidently leave Sapphire for several hours. Jessica has helped me identify and address the many factors that affect Sapphire's ability to handle being left alone, has gotten us back on track after setbacks, and has celebrated our successes! Throughout the process, Jessica provided guidance and explanations that clarified and normalized the behaviors I was seeing in Sapphire. Jessica has helped me gain a better understanding of Sapphire's behavior cues and what they mean, deepening my connection to my pup. And all this has been done via Zoom and Google Sheets! Between timely and attentive communication for every training "mission" and weekly, then bi-weekly zoom calls, Jessica gradually gave me more and more control of the decision making process. At this point, I'm relatively confident that I can continue on my own (or with occasional check-ins) and that I understand my dog and her needs. I would recommend Jessica to anyone seeking a competent, knowledgeable trainer to guide the process of understanding and improving dog behavior.
