The restaurant was within walking distance of my hotel as well as many other hotels in the area. However, it seems like a lot of locals frequent the lounge as well. I only went late at night during my trip, but The Montana Club has a nice happy hour and good specials throughout the week. I shared an appetizer of cheese curds and got myself a huckleberry mule. The cheese curds were crispy and puffy and served with some amazing ranch dressing. The staff were so attentive and friendly. We were sat immediately and a server was over within a minute. Throughout our time there, servers were constantly checking in and seeing if we needed anything.

He was not wrong, it was incredible. They got the crisp of the skin just right. I discovered gamay noir wine for the first time! I can't believe I've never had this. It's absolutely delightful! There is plenty of seating throughout, so even with a big crowd, it does not feel overly cramped. The menu is a little on the smaller side, but there seems to be enough variety that I would imagine there is something for everyone. I got the ginger pork lettuce wraps and they were really good! They were pretty difficult to actually assemble, so I eventually gave up and ate everything more like a salad. The pork was absolutely delicious, though, and easily the highlight of the dish. Service was a little spotty, although we were a very large group, so I am sure that made things more difficult. Drinks were frequently missed or came out incorrectly, and our server had to reconfirm some orders multiple times. That said, they were incredibly nice and friendly throughout, which definitely helped. Overall, Top Hat Lounge is a great place to hang out, especially if you want a lot of space, a fun atmosphere, and live music. The service could have been smoother, but I would definitely come back.
