First time I ever wrote a review on Yelp, but had to post my super-positive experience with the folks at Forest Keepers Tree Care. A grandson got his brand new drone stuck way up in a tree, 85' up! We needed professional help to retrieve it. After researching online for a tree service, it was clear that Forest Keepers Tree Care were exactly the people I needed to talk to. They specialize in tree care, employ a variety of methods and machines, and most importantly are one of the few services that have the technical climbing skills to handle the toughest jobs on the biggest trees. I called right before they opened around 6:50 AM and got a call back right on the dot at 7AM. The gentleman on the call could not have been nicer, and his knowledge and experience in all matters related to tree work was obvious. One of the service providers Brad called me later in the day and said he was heading over to take a look. The next thing I know is Brad was able to retrieve the drone. The grandson was ecstatic and so was I! What a pleasure it was to find such a top notch and professional organization like Forest Keepers Tree Care. My job was rather trivial, but if you have some work on tree service or removal and you need it done right, on time and with some really decent honest people, Forest Keepers Tree Care is the company to call. The best experience I have ever had with a tree company. From the quote to the clean-up, Forest Keepers Tree Care is professional and complete tree care company. I contracted Forest Keepers to remove a very dead, 50 year old, locust tree from the back of my property that some companies would not even bid. It was in a precarious location with a high voltage main feed five feet to the rear of the tree and a neighbor house's power feed 10 feet to the right with fences below each and limbs above each. Parats and his team methodically removed it without incident. Leaving only a low-cut stump (less than 4" above grade), as contracted. I liked them so much I added the pruning of a large oak tree in the front yard. He listened to my preferences and blended my preferences with his knowledge of what would be best for the tree health of the tree into a marvelous job thinning and reshaping the oak. In talking with Parats during the job, I found him to be a good natured hard working family man that thoroughly enjoys his work. Far and away the best tree care company I've ever worked with! Forest Keepers were super quick to come out, schedule, and complete the job. I called in the evening, my wife was able with Parats, one of the owners, the next morning, and our job was done 24 hours later! We had an extremely large old oak tree that needed to come down--it was done with such precision and safety. I ask tons of questions; he were super patient and willing to educate and provide great opinions and options. I couldn't imagine a better deal either--I expected to spend way, way more. I've lived in Lawrence most my life and have struggled to find good affordable tree trimming and cleanup in the past--sometimes it's hard to even get a call back. I've used several other companies over the years and there's no comparison here--truly as good as it gets. While technical skill and a great deal alone make Forest Keepers an easy recommendation, the kindness and genuineness of this crew will blow you away! This company offers a great and professional service for trimming 3 large river birch trees in my backyard. After two decades of growth, the trees become skyrocketed and seem unmanageable and threatening my 2 story house and newly installed DaVinci roof. The team carried out a professional, effective, and neat trimming in just a few hours. Their leader, Parats, swung among the tree trunks like a Tarzan and cut the trees using professional chain saws. The team coordinated with one another, communicated using wireless radio, collect, remove and mulch the tree limbs soon after the limbs fell. Their actions are so seamless. Hi, I'm a longtime Lawrence resident and home owner. I'm pretty cautious about who I have work on my property. I will say that right away I felt like the Forest Keepers crew was honest and showed integrity. They were respectful towards my property which I think is VERY IMPORTANT! They showed up on time and got the job done quick. They cleaned up very well after themselves - WHICH I AM A STICKLER ABOUT! I have NO COMPLAINTS about these guys! Surprisingly good. My husband and I got a few estimates for cutting down our huge tree. After talking to Mr. Wolfe my husband and I said this young man has the job. He came out on Sunday 12/17 and came back on 12/20/17 with his crew and they did the job. I sat and watched them through the window and enjoyed watching the team work these young men had with each other. They did an amazing job and we are so pleased with all of them. They cleaned up our yard after they were done you would not have known that they were even here except for the fact our huge tree was gone. These guys are great! I hired them to remove a huge Maple that was rotting out at the base. They did a fa-nominal job. They were safe and watched each others backs. They even had some sort of intercom in their helmets so they could talk to each other. They had to climb the tree and rig it down with ropes because there was only a small access to my back yard. Their knowledge and skill was amazing...getting each big limb to do what they wanted! From start to finish they did a great job. They left my yard spotless. Will use them again for sure! read more

I've had Forest Keepers do tree work at my place a couple of times now. They give very fast & efficient service, but don't compromise on care and quality of work. They didn't damage anything even in VERY tight quarters and cleaned up my yard VERY well at the end. You've heard the expression: "Good, Fast, Cheap. Pick Two." But with Forest Keepers, you get all THREE. For price, they were very competitive and affordable -- not some low-ball, fly-by-night company that you can't trust. We had an overgrown yard -- lots of work and a limited budget. Forest keepers worked with us. We split a huge job into segments. They are experts. They do outstanding, careful work to preserve the health of the trees and but are receptive to customer wishes. For example, I asked them to leave the stump of my giant elm, which I now use as a platform bird feeder or plant stand. They were the cheapest quote I could find and very professional. They did a fast and great job of taking a large tree down. Mr. Wolfe and his crew did an EXCEPTIONAL job. They trimmed 4 trees and completely removed an 80 - 90 year old ash tree. They were efficient, professional and truly have passion for what they do. I had Forest Keepers do some tree work for me a few weeks ago. I had one tree remove and some others trimmed. They were awesome and extremely knowledgeable. Very reasonable bid so I didn't bother taking the time to get multiple bids. They were fast and cleaned up everything. I would highly recommend them.
