Mr. Lutz asked us to keep in touch and not to hesitate to ask any questions in the future. He called me several times before the service to see how I was doing and to ask if I had any questions.

The process here started with oversights and problems caused by people rushing to do their work. Once she arrived in Pennsylvania, however, things changed for the better, under the watchful eye of John Lutz. The Lutz Funeral Home is now in its 4th or 5th generation of existence and I began to see why. From the pick up of my Mom in Philadelphia, to the obituary in the local paper, from the seating and tent by the grave site for her old friends to the calling out of retirement of her pastor for the service and nicely printed folder with the order of the service, John masterminded every detail. He had everything calmly and sensitively under control, and told us time and again that he was pleased to do so. What made this special treatment even more amazing is that in the fact that it was a prepaid event, John was doing this at a small fraction of what it would have cost today. Time and again he went the extra mile to have it be a beautiful and memorable day. At the end of the service he gave me a packet with laminated copies of the obituary and lovely thank you note cards with her name and the date of the service, to send to her friends. i can't think of one thing he could have done better. He has my eternal thanks for being a stellar human being.

Our young son passed away and then just one month later my father-in-law passed. Jonathan and his staff provided a beautiful funeral service for my father-in-law and took care of so many little details that we did not even think of. For example, after the services were over, we received the keepsake that contained the guest book and also every card that came with each set of flowers that were sent along with a photo of each arrangement so we could always remember how beautiful everything was. We decided to bury our boy and Pop together in one ceremony. Jonathan took care of everything for us, including communicating with the cemetery and the sending us drafts of how the stone would look. Because of COVID-19, the burial service was limited but Ludwick arranged for livestream and permanent link. The livestream began with a beautiful video montage of photos of our son and Pop with all of us. It played to our son's favorite Beatles songs. It was so very moving. Along with that link is options to purchase a keepsake book, flash drive of the entire video and much more. During such a tragic time, Jonathan and his staff have such compassion. They understand the importance of details that the bereaved family couldn't possibly know to ask for and they are so professional that even in the midst of COVID they were able to keep everything running so smoothly that we did not feel any stress about the day.

What was not OK, especially since she had just passed hours earlier, and especially in this new normal with Covid was the disrespect he showed us. He was not into using proper safety guidelines to the point where he started an argument with me telling me he was over it and that the virus was made in a lab and that it had a patent number. Keep in mind my mother had just passed and we had been up for 2 days giving her medicine hourly. This was horribly disrespectful. I told him I was no longer continuing this conversation and just to do his job, with a mask on. He deals with dead people routinely, you would think he would have enough respect to follow safety measures as he enters someone's home where a person just died. Furthermore why in the world would he start an argument knowing we were grieving and that my mother just passed. If he does this with everyone I can't see how he is still in business. He should have came to the door with a mask on removed my mother and left. No discussions about anything other then my mother's death. He gave us a half hearted apology the next day during our meeting after my step dad told him how dare he come into the house and disrespect our loving family. I do not recommend Klee.

Every detail was well thought out and our comfort and needs were their priority. Ron went well above what we expected by contacting the florist, making dinner reservations for us, delivering flowers to the nursing home, and working quietly behind the scene so we could experience a stress free time. We will definitely be using his services again and will recommend him to everyone one.
