Tyler and Kelsey were truly a blessing. Because of their attention to details, the service for…read moremy father-in-law went very smoothly. They provided and arranged everything we requested. The special touches they provided made the service memorable and meaningful. We kept receiving calls days later on how beautiful the service was. We visited other funeral homes however, they did not provide the same type of service as Houck and Gofus. We were told on several of our requests that the family would have to provide. For example, military honors. We were told we would have to arrange. Tyler and Kelsey made all of the arrangements, we did not have to make one phone call. We even stopped by in the evening without an appointment. Tyler, without hesitation, stopped what he was doing and invited us in and reviewed the information and answered all of our questions. This was great customer service at its best! The very next morning we met with Kelsey and the arrangements were made. Living in Phila, this was extremely helpful. We did not have to go back and forth, Tyler and Kelsey arranged everything for us from the flowers, military honors, death certificates, a pastor and pictures for both the obituary and slide show. We did not have a repass, Kelsey provided a local caterer who provided the delicious box lunches. Grumpy's was able to cater the event, the ordering was done over one phone call; it was all very hassle free. I cannot stress that enough! I would definitely recommend Houck and Gofus. They are extremely professional and extremely proficient. Did I mention they are really genuine nice people. They get back to you right away and they never made us feel like we were bothering them with our questions. Please do not go to anyone else, make Houck and Gofus your choice for your loved ones. You will be glad you did!

This is my Google review that happened right after my mom died 9 months ago, I should have posted…read moreit here also: After being up for 2 days giving my mother medicine to help her pass the horrible disease of ALS, Mr. Klee arrived late at night, which was OK because that is when she passed. What was not OK, especially since she had just passed hours earlier, and especially in this new normal with Covid was the disrespect he showed us. He was not into using proper safety guidelines to the point where he started an argument with me telling me he was over it and that the virus was made in a lab and that it had a patent number. Keep in mind my mother had just passed and we had been up for 2 days giving her medicine hourly. This was horribly disrespectful. I told him I was no longer continuing this conversation and just to do his job, with a mask on. He deals with dead people routinely, you would think he would have enough respect to follow safety measures as he enters someone's home where a person just died. Furthermore why in the world would he start an argument knowing we were grieving and that my mother just passed. If he does this with everyone I can't see how he is still in business. He should have came to the door with a mask on removed my mother and left. No discussions about anything other then my mother's death. He gave us a half hearted apology the next day during our meeting after my step dad told him how dare he come into the house and disrespect our loving family. I do not recommend Klee.

Every detail was well thought out and our comfort and needs were their priority. Ron went well above what we expected by contacting the florist, making dinner reservations for us, delivering flowers to the nursing home, and working quietly behind the scene so we could experience a stress free time. We will definitely be using his services again and will recommend him to everyone one.
