Okay, this is hands down (no pun intended!) the best massage in Columbia…read more Jennifer Brown is the Licensed Massage Therapy of Bliss Massage Therapy. She is located in the Personally Fit gym on Gadsen. There are about 5 reserved parking spots to the side as well as metered spots out front. You need to go to the back of the gym and turn right to find her. Inside, you have a relaxing seating area and then the massage room. She will give you your choice of music. If you are congested, she likes to use eucalyptus to open up those nasal passages. Just a little background on me: Today, I sat down and finally counted the # of massage therapists I have tried in Columbia for a deep tissue massage. The total? 8. Yup, at several other brick-and-mortars in the city. I like a true deep tissue massage, not gentle Swedish strokes though she does offer Swedish as well. She hits my tension knots every single time without missing and I consistently leave much more relaxed and relieved. Jen truly has a gift of a healing touch as well as a caring empathetic bedside manner to her. She will make you feel at ease instantly. I moved out of Cola recently, and I honestly wish I could have taken with me in my luggage. If you need tension relief, please visit her. If you're like me, you will leave with a goofy blissed-out smile and noodle-like body!

The owner was very communicative, accommodating, and understood the specific needs of my Mom. Eric, the masseuse, is very laid back, easy to talk to, and took the time to put my mother at ease and accommodate her requests during the massage. Mom said several times after her hour-long massage was done that she "feels like a new woman." She's been having some neck tension and spasms, and we wanted to treat her to a massage this Mother's Day to help alleviate some of that. This experience was so pleasurable for her and she notes that she will take Erin's recommendation and schedule a massage now once a month. Bravo! Thank you for helping us pamper our Mom in this very special way.

Found Get Bent Massage & Stretching online after searching for someone that could perform cupping…read moretherapy in Columbia... After checking out his website and Facebook, I filled out the contact form on his site to inquire about an appointment. Rob contacted me shortly after via email to tell me his availability for cupping and to get a little more info from me as to why I was interested in this type of massage. We confirmed an appointment for Friday!!! I arrived and he took me to the massage room - we discussed again what I was looking to work on (and I noticed he had Gua Sha tools/scrapers too). He explained everything as he went along with each cup and we discussed the Gua Sha massage (which I'm very interested in as well) and he even performed a little on my neck which helped cool me down (I'm naturally hot). I never felt uncomfortable. After the cupping massage was over he did a little stretching on me for my hams, hips and calves. Rob was very friendly, polite, and knowledgeable!! Scheduling was a breeze! I'd highly recommend checking this place out for traditional massages, cupping, Gua Sha, stretching etc! I can't wait for my next appointment!

He is a very talented massage therapist who is always continuing his education & learning new techniques. I have benefited from both his work with me using cupping & Gua Shai for relief of chronic pain, but also physically & energetically. Definitely a true ole school MT. Pretty good experience for my first time. I loved my service. It was a pregnancy massage and the…read moregirl was helpful and efficient. I did not like the overly friendly mouse of a receptionist who kept trying to upsell me at every turn. That was not relaxing. She had a look of shy fear in her face which was awkward... Also, I didn't like the suggested tip sign. I found it quite expensive and presumptious. But if you ignore the front desk area, your experience will be very positive.

I saw a video on social media today showing a very disappointing interaction between a manager and…read morea customer who was attempting to cancel her membership. Based on what was shown in the video, the customer had already been inconvenienced by a previous front desk representative who provided incorrect information about the hours she needed to come in to cancel her membership. When the customer returned to resolve the issue and explained that she was in a rush, she indicated that she was willing to waive the opportunity to hear about any remaining membership benefits so she could complete the cancellation. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the manager appeared dismissive, condescending, and argumentative. The manager turned her back and began walking away while the customer was still speaking. That disrespectful response appeared to be the turning point that escalated the interaction. The manager then called a higher-level supervisor for assistance. During the call, she appeared to mute the phone while speaking, preventing the supervisor from hearing portions of the conversation. Once the customer disclosed that she was recording the interaction, the manager's approach noticeably changed, and she became more accommodating, ultimately assuring the customer that her membership would be canceled. What was particularly concerning was seeing the manager instruct another representative to call the police after the customer declined to speak with higher management about the cancellation. A customer attempting to cancel a membership, especially after already being inconvenienced by incorrect information from staff, should not have to deal with this level of hostility or disrespect. Customer service is about more than processing transactions. It is about accountability, professionalism, communication, and treating people with respect--even when a conversation becomes uncomfortable. Management should set the standard for these qualities, not contribute to an already frustrating experience. After watching this video, I would seriously reconsider doing business with an establishment where a customer's reasonable request to cancel a membership could turn into such a confrontational experience. I hope corporate leadership reviews this incident and addresses the concerns regarding management's conduct and customer service practices.
