It was confirmed the same day (the 16th). The tee time was confirmed, saying 9:20 explicitly. When we arrived to pay ($220 including tax), we were told our tee time was 9:30?? I wasn't informed of this and there apparently wasn't a delay for the day. There was a 4-some let on in front of us, when we asked the Marshall, he said he had a 4-some @ 9:20. I showed him the confirmation email and he said "weird, I don't know why they put you at 9:30". For $200, I would expect to be treated with professionalism, especially if I have somewhere I need to be. Why would you offer a tee time on the sheet if you are going to put another 4-some in our place? I bit my tongue and we played with another 2-some. All fine and dandy except waiting on the 4-some in front of us every hole. We played in 4:45 minutes, waiting on every hole! They had a Marshall going around but his job was to be friendly to everyone rather than to keep them on pace. The pro shop staff was nice other than changing our tee time without informing us. You can have a much better experience at places like Canyon Creek, The Quarry and even TPC San Antonio if you're willing to cough up the cash. If you're willing to pay $220 for 3 star service, just splurge and give yourself an unforgettable experience at the Marriott with rounds at a PGA course. Additionally, the range here was very subpar and the food/drinks were incredibly expensive. The layout was fun and I'm glad I got to experience it once, never again though! What a terrible experience!

The starter was the most pleasant out of everyone. Played the Oaks course. Course was in good condition even after a tournament a few days prior. The only downfall was some of the greens are starting to see wear from moving cups around, got bumpy in the old cup spots. Lots of sand and tough slopes made it quite a challenge. Always fun to play where the pros play. Overall fun golf, lack of "special" treatment if your motto is going to be "bringing the magic of the PGA TOUR to life for our guests every day". Overpriced by $100-$150. Should be a $200-$250 round.

We had a great time and I went away feeling this is one of the few public courses I've played where I had a mid-level country club experience albeit at a public course. Very nice, clean, well maintained facilities. Air conditioned restrooms at the clubhouse, one on each nine and one at the turn (including the well stocked snack bar). Great hill country feeling with beautiful views, very tame deer and fairways lined with some beautiful homes. Fairways had good grass for just coming out of dormancy. The greens were quite large and long. Good quality grass although a little sparse, creating very fast speed and some difficulty in getting the ball to stop on putts and approaches. Experience and local knowledge gained this trip will be a big help for future rounds. Very large driving range with artificial turf and Top Tracer access. Nice practice putting green. Two VERY large longhorn steers in a small corral adorned the first tee/ninth fairway adjacent to the snack bar at the turn. All the staff and marshals were very friendly and helpful. The cart girls had great personalities, were very helpful and made the rounds regularly. Full bar and lots of cold beverages on board. Very fair prices for refreshments. The only thing missing was ball washers but not a huge deal. Good value for money, especially if you sign up for one of their discount programs. I look forward to returning soon!

Situated off Rochelle Drive, this used to be not just a range, but also an executive golf course, perfect for a quick and enjoyable round of golf. Alas, the course was closed, and the location is reborn as the Wylie Range. The executive course is now in disrepair, overgrown with weeds and bushes....a pity! Behind the diminutive club house is a cricket field, used by certain leagues throughout the season. The very real advantage of this range is its unique (for our area) double decker design, with hitting off mats on the first and second floor. (This two story design is very common in Japan, which I spied on my trip there a few years ago, given the premium on real estate in major cities there.) But the advantage in our city is the respite from the sun during practice. And should the intrepid golfer prefer grass, there is also an area left of the main area for that type of practice. The staff is always pleasant and welcoming, and the facility offers clubs for sale (I am unsure if the pricing is competitive) and offers some club repair. Lessons are offered by the pros at the range, adults and youngsters often seen taking advantage of this feature. One feature of the range is that the terrain drops away from the hitting area, which I find somewhat difficult to determine actual distances I am hitting, despite markers that one can target. But this is perhaps just my particular issue. Balls are of newer Callaway range balls, in contradistinction to some complaints from a couple of years ago, some complaining of old, shoddy balls. Sadly, the short game area is definitely lacking, with bunkers filled with pebbles and overgrown with grass. The chipping grass is marked with weeds, and the larger putting area did not survive the summer heat: dead grass, not even tended today. This is a major disappointment, as years ago, the putting area was large and of different breaks that would allow development of skill with this aspect of the game. But given the shortcomings of the short game area, the double decker range is a blessing for our climate during the summer, and in truth is my "go to" range for that one reason. If you love hitting balls, but do not want to suffer so much with the sun, visit the range on Rochelle. I think you will enjoy the experience!!

Played under a 4 hour pace and enjoyed all the amenities including the GPS in the cart and the frequent opportunities to eat and drink throughout the round. While similar to the Palmer Course (should be since they are adjacent) - Palmer course was in better condition tee to green and was more visually pleasing since it sits higher on the hills. The resort course does play next to Six Flags Fiesta which offered some interesting views as well but the Palmer course was a cut above for whatever its worth. One point of interest/annoyance... Opening hole is a 660+ yard par 5. It is significantly downhill with a prevailing downwind so I'm guessing it plays more like a 550 yard hole. While the hole itself is fun to play as you don't often get to see/play holes that look like that - any avid golfer will tell you that it takes a couple of holes/swings to groove oneself into a round. That's why a lot of golf architects start off courses with relatively modest length, easier holes to allow golfers to segue from the driving range into the round itself. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me to start the round goading a player in to swinging out of his/her shoes. Nothing good comes of that. Starting the round with a lost ball or an OB doesn't allow one to set a good tenor for the day. I'd consider swapping the 9s. But what do I know - I don't play on tour or run a course.

Amber then lied and claimed there were "several" attempts to repair my fence. There were two attempts- one of which the roof was being repaired and it was too hazardous of an environment to come and the 2nd attempt they showed up with the wrong materials. They only call around 3:30pm and ask if they can come at that time- no advance notice. The repairman that was sent with the wrong materials the 2nd time was really kind and told me that he brought it up for weeks and the office staff kept sending him to other jobs. This is important for those considering Superior Fence: Amber then said that Superior Fence does not make repairs DURING the warranty period rather, they only make repairs at the END of the warranty period all at once. In other words, I- or you- will have to wait 12 months or however long your negotiated warranty period is to have any covered repairs completed. These unique terms are not on the contract and never shared with me until over a month after I brought my concerns to their attention. Only upon elevating my concerns due to the lack of response did Amber share this. Have you ever heard of a company that will not provide service until your warranty expires? I am stuck with a cedar fence that warps due to the sun and it will continue to happen for the life of the fence. Roger advised me that cedar is most durable and suitable for the TX heat. I paid a premium for this type of material. I don't know what they did to my fence and I have been asking for the owner to contact me and offer me assurance that the company will handle my concerns- yet to no avail. Stay away from Superior Fence Co!

Short version: Overpriced with poor communication…read more Long version: I had a couple quotes for a fence from different companies. One was a small local contractor who was a couple thousand cheaper but I have spent the last year working with a very small contractor on my home renovation, and it's been frustrating so I decided to go with a bigger name even though it cost more. The fence itself would be fine except, on the one side that is most visible to the road it comes to a point in the middle and has 2 short panels which is different then the rest of the fence. They started installing post at both ends and met in the middle. I questioned the crew who were very nice, but could speak very limited English in the middle of the second day why there was two post only two feet away in the middle of the fence line, but he just said that's how it worked out. He did move it to be centered so instead of a 6 foot/2 foot panel it's now a 4ft/4ft. Aesthetically it looks ok now. If he had put a 2 foot panel in it would have looked terrible. Either way, this review would have been different if I felt communication from the agent (Steve) was better. First off, he told me they had plenty of stock in the product I choose. I sign the contract and pay half. No communication as promised the next week. I leave a message and the following week he calls back. He says the product I ordered is now out of stock because a big company bought it all and it would be 2 months unless I wanted to upgrade. It was only $350 more and I wanted to get it done so I went with it. Then during the job I called with concerns that the 2 posts were 2 feet apart in the middle of the fence. His reply is that he will come the next morning but there's really nothing can be done since the post were already in the ground. First I think that's an unacceptable answer especially considering the rails weren't attached, etc. The crew end up working late that night. I tried calling again and it went to his VM. The crew then shows up early the next morning and finishes it. I see his vehicle at the edge of my property after they finish. I thought he had come to talk to me but he didn't knock, call, text, etc and I probably wouldn't have made it to his car before he left. Either way he clearly didn't feel the need to contact me despite me calling twice with concerns.

The layout is pretty basic, just the four bays with places to relax behind them and a bathroom. For the owners, they could definitely benefit from a few vending machines! The software was really cool and let us do a little range warm up and then play a few different courses. It takes a little getting used to hitting in the simulator if you aren't familiar with it. Once you do though this is a great spot to get in some late night golf or when it's just too hot out! I am going to look into their memberships as well, from what the employee mentioned they have a lot of good perks.
