Spend the extra money for the premium wine tasting, I promise you won't regret it. Some of the best red wines that I have tasted in Niagara!

Review Highlights - Foreign Affair Winery

This blend, 68% Cabernet Sauvignon and 32% Cabernet Franc using 50% Appassimento - same technique as my fav Amarone, may have been the best red from Ontario that I've tasted.

Ridge Road Estate Winery - Special blueberry punch! So delicious!

We had the pear, chutney, grilled cheese sandwich, which was freshly prepared and quite delicious. I enjoyed that again with a salad with dressing on the side. I haven't had a grilled cheese in a while, and this was a great lunch option. I would highly recommend stopping by to enjoy the beautiful space, some lawn games, a wine flight, or some lunch.

We had a tasting flight of Sauv Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Riesling and Call me a cab. Each wine lacked much complexity and had a watery element. The whites were pleasant on a warm day but didn't seem to have much of the traditional characteristics of a Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio. Call me a Cab has a great name but I couldn't finish the sample. Wife ordered a glass of Pink Bubbles that was the best of the wines tasted. We did buy a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. Usually I buy a bottle or two from each vineyard we visit both to support their efforts and to take a second taste while not overlooking vines. Food wise we kept it simple and shared a Canadian Flatbread with mozzarella cheese, crispy bacon, pepperoni, and mushrooms. Hit the spot. Ridge Road Winery is well worth a visit if in the area. This would also be a nice spot to hold a private event.

We went to Colanieri Estate Winery today…read more They are located in the Niagara winery region off of Concession 6 They were not far away from the Outlets which is where we travelled from prior to going to the winery today We have been there before to purchase wine and take in the beauty of the winery The first look of this spot and you feel you are in Tuscany It is so beautiful The staff are super friendly Inside the store they are very helpful We ended up buying a bottle of their white Stellucha wine and a bottle of their white Sangria We have had the Stellucha wine and it's a very nice taste Not overly sweet and nicely balanced We definitely will come back here again to purchase wine and will need to try their food from their outdoor palazzo

There was plenty of parking right in front, and the views of the building and vineyard were absolutely beautiful. We were greeted warmly by the hostess when we arrived, and when we requested a table in the shade, she gladly accommodated us. The service throughout lunch was excellent. My wife has a tree nut allergy, and our waitress made sure to inform the kitchen so my wife could safely enjoy her meal without worry, which we really appreciated. We ordered two pizzas and two charcuterie boards. Unfortunately, the charcuterie boards were very overpriced for what was included: each board only had 8 thin slices of salami, 8 thin slices of capicola, a small bowl of olives, and a few small pieces of cheese. Two boards came to roughly $70 before tax, which definitely did not feel worth the price. The prosciutto and arugula pizza was also VERY dry, and surprisingly they didn't even have balsamic glaze or balsamic vinegar available for it. Another waitress brought over some olive oil, but then charged us $3 for it, which honestly didn't sit right considering we explained how dry the pizza was. The location, atmosphere, and service were wonderful, but the food quality and pricing left a lot to be desired. We usually just come here for wine, but we won't be returning.
