Lailey Vineyard is modern, chic and rustic as the same time. The tasting room though a little bit small but this means that no bus load of people will be arriving for a tour or tasting? The tasting cost $1/$2 each which I prefer as I have more flexibility in picking the wine that I am interested in sampling. After trying a few, we ended up with a bottle of 2010 Cabernet Franc ($25) which has a really fruity and floral profile. The staff here are quite knowledgeable though can be a little more enthusiastic. The tour which last for 45 minute like a good value $5 which includes 4 tasting, maybe next time.

It has small and contemporary tasting room. Staffs were friendly and helpful, but wasn't that knowledgable about wines. They have pretty solid wines. My favorite was Riesling 2011($18), I enjoyed melon aroma in the end. 2012 Sauvignon Blanc was so refreshing, good for summer I thought. It's worth to visit when you visit NOTL area. But tasting room easily can get packed with several wine tour groups.

Service and ambiance were perfect. Very good reds. The wine pourer ( I can't remember his name) was so fun to talk to about their process.

Unfortunately the experience wasn't quite what I was expecting or used to getting from wine tastings. It did start off well with the woman working the front desk. She was very attentive and helped us choose our experience. But once we got to the tasting room, it changed. The workers in the tasting room seemed like they didn't care to be there. Service was slow getting us set up as we were seated and left there for a bit before selecting our tasting. Our server was kind when bringing over the wines but maybe she was being spread thin as she was doing almost all of the tastings in the room / having to run around. We originally chose a window seat but moved soon after because there were so many flies that kept landing on us. Moving more inwards helped to an extent as there were quite a bit of black flies and fruit flies in the tasting room (fruit flies were landing in the wine). The wines were decent and had some unique offerings. Did end up buying a bottle of ice wine because it was a great, very sweet dessert wine. I think the experience would have been a lot better if more effort was taken by the estate on the amount of flies (adding traps or thick curtains blocking the tasting room to avoid flies getting in) and if service was more interested. Maybe having specific wine tasting times so the worker can be more involved? Another missed opportunity is the outside lookout over the vineyard is a small platform and a small tasting area in the middle of the parking lot. It would be so beautiful and enjoyable if there was a larger outdoor seating patio that you can sit and drink wine while looking over the vineyard / lake.

They also have private rooms where you can host lunches, dinners, or special occasions (weddings, birthdays, etc.). I was recently at Peller Estates for a family lunch which was held upstairs on the 2nd floor in the Founders Hall. The private room was intimate and spacious, which can seat up to 80 guests. The room also has a balcony and views which overlook the winery vineyards as well. For our particular lunch we were treated to a seasonal set menu consisting of 3 courses. Tea and coffee were included as well. For our set menu we had the following dishes: - Artisanal greens and bib salad (heirloom tomato, English cucumber, breakfast radish, Ice Cuvee vinaigrette) - Smoked chicken pasta (sundried tomatoes, green onions, penne pasta, Chardonnay cream sauce) - Merlot chocolate decadence cake (sponge toffee crumble, blackberry compote) The meal from start to finish was great! The salad was light and refreshing where the vegetables were lightly dressed in the vinaigrette which wasn't overpowering. The smoked chicken pasta was delicious with the Chardonnay cream sauce - only issue was that we wanted more of it! Lastly, the chocolate cake was the perfect ending to the lunch where it didn't feel too heavy. The sponge toffee crumble added a textural contrast to the dish as well. The whole meal wasn't too heavy and was just the perfect amount for lunch. Service during our meal was great. Staff served each table at a time and took away plates after we were finished eating. They also made sure to refill our water glasses every time we were running low on water. At the end of our meal, they also opened the balcony doors for us as we requested to go outside to take a few photos. I also walked around the retail store after my meal to look at the wines. The retail store is spacious and the tasting bar in the middle of the room was busy. Overall, a beautiful winery with many different kinds of experiences. The private lunch we had in the Founder's Room was tasty and the room felt spacious and intimate, the perfect setting to celebrate a special occasion with family. I can't comment on the planning process with the Peller Estates team as someone else in my family had organized the lunch, however, the food and service was great. Would definitely recommend checking out Peller Estates for their wine as well as food!

Originally I booked our tour for 3pm and then we realized we didn't need nearly as much time at our previous stop. I saw online that the 12pm tour had open spots. We arrived just before 12 and were able to join that time. The host was happy to make the accommodation. The estate is beautiful and we had great weather for October. David was a wonderful tour guide. We enjoyed navigating the estate, sampled two wines outside, one in the cellar and then one in the ice cave. The ice cave is truly a unique experience. They do provide jackets to keep you warm. Along with the tour, you get 15% off purchases in their shop. We enjoyed the ice cuvee so much, we ordered a glass each and sat outside on their patio to enjoy the day. Highly recommend booking their tour!

Despite the chilly weather, it was still a lovely afternoon sitting outside under the heat lamps. Such a great combination of flavours and the perfect appetizer to enjoy alongside drinks. The Double Oaked whiskey cocktail with peach lemonade was also a highlight; strong, flavourful, and delicious. It's a beautiful spot to enjoy some wine, spirits, and bites along the vineyard. There are also things for the kids to do like a ping pong table, cornhole and a pool table. It's a gorgeous setting to waste an afternoon away. There's also plenty of memorabilia to check out, whether you're a long time fan or a new one. There's also a lovely shop offering well-curated hockey and wine themed merchandise for sale. We happen to be visiting during Happy Hour on the patio, which is from 3 pm to 5 pm, Sunday to Friday. There's a limited menu available only on the patio section. There's a lovely upstairs tasting room as well, which is where we bought our wine tasting flight and had to bring it down to the patio ourselves. Happy Hour eats: * Burratini Cheese Platter $18 - The dish was not great. The grilled naan bread was not a great choice for the cheese. And the smoked pineapple mint and cucumber salsa didn't do anything for the burratini. * Firecracker Calamari $20 - Definitely a plate for sharing. * Hasselback Smoked Kielbasa $16 - Enjoyable with the whisky mustard and pickle kraut. * Red Onion Rings $12 - This was also a dish for sharing. It was only okay though. Overall, the food was only okay. The wine was fine and the cocktails were enjoyable. The space is gorgeous though and worth a visit alone.
