If you want to see a doctor about a suspicious lesion, you better make an appointment now for 2024. And you won't get a reminder for the appointment because it will have been entered into their computer calendar incorrectly, but it will be YOUR fault you missed the appointment just because they can not be accountable for their clerical mistakes. I guess we will be getting a bill for their incompetence. Whoever is answering the phone over there needs lessons in compassion.

As a person whose work is done outdoors in the sun I've had the chance to meet many skin care professionals. Last month when I went in for what has become more or less routine maintenance I found that the practice has been taken over by a large organization that obviously views its patients as nothing but Income opportunities. That was made painfully apparent by the new doctor who got in and out as quickly as possible, squirting a few quick spritzes of liquid nitrogen, prescribed a month's treatment of flourouricil, and left after handing me about two days' worth of cleanser and moisturizer and brief instructions. During the second week of applying the medication to my scalp I developed a serious reaction. I telephoned the office twice to seek advice but had to leave messages both times for a voice that assured me I would be called back promptly. When my symptoms grew much worse the following day I realized these clowns were not going to be of any use so I went to my family doctor who immediately took me off the medication and cleaned up the results of their incompetence. Needless to say I won't be going back to them and I certainly wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Pariser Dermatology was extremely…read moredisappointing. My 12-year-old daughter developed a rapidly spreading skin condition over the course of a week. What began on her legs had spread to her arms and face, and we still did not know whether it was fungal, viral, contagious, or something more serious. After spending four hours in the ER with little help beyond an over-the-counter cream recommendation and instructions to see a dermatologist, we began calling every dermatology office we could find. Because of the urgency of the situation, I brought my daughter to Pariser Dermatology in person hoping someone could at least assess whether she needed immediate attention. The receptionist was not particularly sympathetic, and we were told the earliest available appointment was June 30. What was most frustrating was that no provider was willing to briefly look at my daughter, despite her being physically present in the waiting room with visible lesions that were actively spreading. I was not asking for a full appointment or diagnosis on the spot just a quick assessment of whether the situation warranted more urgent care. Fortunately, I then went to Forefront Dermatology in Chesapeake. Despite being fully booked and double-booked that today, they found a way to fit my daughter into their schedule that afternoon. Their willingness to help in what felt like an urgent situation stood in stark contrast to the experience we had elsewhere. I understand that medical offices have scheduling limitations and policies. However, when a child presents with a rapidly worsening and unexplained skin condition, I would hope for a greater degree of compassion, flexibility, and clinical judgment. Based on this experience, I would either steer clear Parsier of or switch dermatology providers.

I am a frequent flyer, having been first diagnosed with melanoma in 2009 with multiple recurrences since, so I'm here at least every 3 months. This Chesapeake location is clean and easily accessible, though, like most specialty practices you may have a long wait to get an appointment. I highly recommend aiming for a first morning or first afternoon appt if you don't want to deal with providers running behind. The providers have always spent ample time with me to listen to my needs and complete necessary skin checks. I recently needed to change medications and Lindsey researched my options thoroughly, listened to my concerns and we made a plan of care together. They also employ 2 aestheticians for those interested in neuromodulators or custom laser face and body treatments. I am grateful to Pariser for their care!

The bonus is they see both children and adults. I have now been to the office twice. The location is off the corner of First Colonial and Dam Neck. The parking lot was clean and there were plenty of spaces for a mid afternoon appointment. The entrance is opposite the street. The practice is on the second floor. My child's appointment was with Dr. Kristyn Beck. She is the new kid on the block and practices with two veteran physicians. She trained at EVMS under well known and respected children's dermatologist Judith Williams who is a friend. The staff was friendly upon checking-in. The waiting room is small but adequate. I found it clean and comfortable. Forms can be completed in advance by mail or you can arrive early to fill out in the waiting room. The wait time to see Dr. Beck was reasonable at around 25 minutes after paperwork was turned in. I immediately liked her bedside manner and she hit it off with my daughter quickly. She was easy to talk to and had loads of smiles to reassure my daughter. I found her to be confident and knowledgeable during the exam. An immediate diagnosis and treatment plan was achieved in no time. A prescription was then provided. Dr. Beck is young, energetic and eager to lift her practice off the ground. Most insurance plans are accepted. I'm picky and do not often write physician reviews. This was one I had to write and happy to provide 5 stars.

I guess when Dr Harr retired the caring and consideration at this practice went with him. Very disappointed.

I love having all the doctors I need in Suffolk!…read more I started seeing Pariser dermatology because I have vitiligo. I have almost 100% pigment loss. Being Caucasian it's not terribly easy to tell but the side affects of not having skin pigment are many. I can't go out in the sun for any length of time at all. Even a short walk from the parking lot to a store can result in sunburn. I was having a very hard time finding products that would protect my skin without irritating it. Even regular face wash will tear my skin up with normal use. The doctor here was great in recommending products that I've found to work well with little or no irritation. They also educated me on some laws that work in my favor to further protect me from the sun. I got a medical waiver that allows me to tint my windows on my car as dark as I like! The staff here is always professional and pleasant. I've rarely had to wait more than a few minutes to be seen and phone calls are returned promptly. Excellent clinic!
