I bought my Kia Forte from tha Kia Dealer in the city several years ago but I live in the Annapolis Valley so I started bringing my car to Forbes Kia for service. I initially had a problem with the cruise control on my vehicle. Either the cruise control would not come on at all or it would cut out on it's own. I gave the Forbes Kia service department 5 tries to solve the issue and, each time they thought they had it resolved. I finally took the car back to the Dartmouth dealership and they solved it within half an hour. Turned out it was a software update that the Forbes dealership said they had installed (Must not have checked their work.) On another occassion, I had an issue where, each spring, when I went to start using my sunroof, the rubber gasket around the sunroof would detach and hang down into the cabin. Forbes Kia technicians fixed the issue but the sunroof was left visably higher than the rest of the roof when viewed from the outside of the car. I brought this to the service technicians attention and he says "they are supposed to be like that." It wasn't until we looked at another vehicle on the lot that he saw that it is NOT supposed to be like that. Latest incident is, I receievd a recall notice in the mail. The same service advisor happily booked a service appointment for end of the week. I take my car in and after waiting a few minutes, they come out and tell me the part is not in stock (Thus wasting the customer's time.). I'm sure a more professional service department would have looked ahead and say "Okay, what do we have on the go for today and do we have the parts here to take care of those appointments? If not, let's call the customers ahead of time so we don't waste their time.". Don't get me wrong, the sales people at Forbes Kia are great! Especially Kim Park. It's the service people I wouldn't trust to change my oil. read more
