Overall, I felt duped at purchase, lied to regards vehicle maintenance, ignored regards lease questions, and helpless as Brittany does not seem to care to have repeat customers. I have never written a bad review but after being hung up on by Brittany the sales manager and told to "change my attitude" I figured it was only responsible. Please read below if you wish to purchase from Bruce Hyundai as I would highly recommend going to any other dealership who would be happy to help you after purchase.
-Was hung up on today as I hoped they would cover the cost of type 3 maintenance that was due at 20k (purchased at 18.5k). I was promised to be caught up on all maintenance when delivered. Would have been $200 to them and a happy customer, instead I was interrupted multiple times, fielded rude responses and finally hung up on.(https://www.hyundaicanada.com/en/owners-section/maintenanceschedule?year=2019&model=Veloster&trim=VE23MF16DG83&kmage=km&kilometer=24000).
-Although my car was delivered/signed in early August 2019 they neglected to inform me of the new $3,000 rebate sale that was happening in August. I purchased, found out after the fact and was promptly dismissed/laughed at when I inquired. I still feel taken advantage of and/or that they withheld information that would have helped me make an informed purchase.
-Sales rep had me sign a blank vehicle inspection (i know...duhhh) saying we would do the inspection on delivery. When delivered, she claimed we already did it and did not have the papers ready. Still have no idea if I am responsible for the scratches and scuffs I discovered at end of lease.
-According to their own maintenance records I requested they missed an entire service period and did not inform me. They said it must have been done somewhere else. Instead of offering to supply proof, I was repeatedly told "I can see where this is going", than "change your attitude:" and hung up on as stated above.
-Conflicting message regards maintenance schedule: manual vs. website vs. service manager vs. service tech. It's a lease and I am liable, please communicate with some semblance that you know what you are talking about.
-Tire rim clear coat started peeling immediately. Yes, they offered to cover cost in this case but only because I have tire insurance.
-After only driving 5000k over three months, the stock tires are already at 5/32s. Will have to purchase brand new tires next Spring despite purchasing a "new" vehicle.
-Was sold on the "Bluelink" app and told I would have remote start for winter months. After purchase I was informed that manual transmissions cannot be remotely started. Do not lie to help sell a car please.
-Took 3 months to receive gas card incentive. If I didn't follow-up 3 times I feel like I would have never received it.
-I requested the removal of the multiple "Bruce Hyundai" stickers. They were not removed upon delivery. I was told I have to drive from Halifax (where I live) to New Minas to have them removed.
Overall, I enjoy my car but the laundry list above is too much. After being hung up on, ignored, lied to, etc I have lost my patience. I love my car but it will take a lot for me to ever set foot in the Bruce Hyundai New Minas dealership ever again.
