He even asked our next door neighbors for permission to clean up a bit that went over there (homes here are very close together). In the areas that I and my husband were able to look at, it looks almost like a new roof. As you can see from the before / after photos, there are a few stains remaining, but all living garbage (moss, lichen, and whatever else was growing up there) is completely gone. They were highly recommended by our roofer, so I didn't get any other quotes. I can't say whether the price was high, low, or average. At roughly 75 cents per square foot, the cost was certainly more than I was expecting. (The type of roof, as well as its pitch, probably also factors in to the pricing.) So 5* for the job as accomplished, with the caveat that the price seemed high. But then again, what doesn't these days?

I've used this company several times over the years for routine maintenance on my Generac generator…read moreand had no issues until this most recent experience. My generator, which was installed around 2012, developed a problem where it would not start properly or continue running. I understood that diagnosing and repairing an older unit could take multiple visits and that there was no guarantee the first repair would solve the issue. My problem was never with the technician who came out--he was professional. My issue was entirely with the office, specifically Heidi, and the lack of communication, billing transparency, and professionalism. From the beginning, communication was extremely poor. It was difficult to get clear answers about what work was being performed, what was still wrong with the generator, and what charges were being incurred. I approved two service calls and two repairs over the phone based on the amounts I was quoted. When I received the final invoice, it was approximately $500 higher than the total Heidi had quoted me. When I called to discuss the discrepancy, instead of acknowledging the issue professionally, she became argumentative and admitted she "hasn't been that organized lately" and hadn't been billing correctly. I explained that it wasn't my responsibility to pay for work that had never been authorized. Her response was, "Well, what do you want me to do now? Come out and take the parts out?" She also laughed several times on the phone while saying "You know you have an old generator right!" That response was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Everyone makes mistakes, but how those mistakes are handled says a lot about a company. A simple acknowledgment and willingness to resolve the issue would have gone a long way. The generator is still not working correctly I might add. Communication and accurate billing are critical when authorizing repairs, especially when the costs can add up quickly. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I cannot recommend this company as long as Heidi is handling billing and service coordination. It's unfortunate because the technicians were fine, but poor office management completely overshadows this company.

Someone recommended getting the panels cleaned. I saw a sign for Sierra Maintenance leaving our neighborhood and decided to give them a call. After they cleaned the panels, I noticed a lower SMUD bill the next month and in the subsequent months and even to this day. They also send before and after pictures which show just how filthy the panels can get. They also cleaned our gutters this time which I didn't realize had a ton of gunk in them. Our home is two-story ~ 4k sq foot. We have about 12 panels and it was ~$200 to clean them plus another $360 to clean the gutters. Excellent company, which I will refer to others as well as use again next year.

She answered the phone immediately, was professional and listened to me carefully. She set up an appointment when Tony could visit. And she explained Tony would text me the day of the appointment with the window of time he would be arriving. Love organized and efficient. As per his word, Tony texted me and gave me a 4 to 5:00 p.m. window and showed up on time. For the next hour Tony evaluated the situation by getting a very close look at the problem area. He then went up into the attic for a closer inspection. When he came back he had pictures on his phone and explained what was going on. As it turns out there is an open area in the roof where rain water can get in. This likely created the spot that has now formed. He said it was fixable and would send me an estimate via email. If I agreed with the estimate, I would be added to his schedule. (Luckily this is a very slow leak and the ceiling spot is small.) Tony was professional, knowledgeable, and I was very pleased with choosing him out of many other people. The estimate was received the next morning! I absolutely felt it was fair and reasonable. He was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Ian is the owner of the company. From my experience with him in this short while , I've learned he is a family man with astounding integrity. Second, I did not contact this company Cal-View Property Inspections casually or without cause. I reached out because there were serious ongoing concerns in my home, involving exposed walls, abnormal air quality, and conditions that affected my family's health and safety. At the time, children were living in the home, and the wall area had remained exposed for an extended period. The inspection was not the cause of the problem. It was conducted because I needed answers about conditions that already existed inside the unit. The inspection helped confirm that mold concerns were present in the air and on surfaces within the home, including in my daughter's bedroom. After the inspection, I pursued code enforcement. That process resulted in multiple code violations being identified, and repairs were required. My family was displaced as a result of the condition of the home, not because of anything this company created. The statements suggesting improper motive or lack of professionalism do not reflect my experience. I hired this company because I needed an independent assessment, and from my experience they were professional, responsive, and helpful during an extremely stressful situation. This company did not create the conditions in my home. They documented them. I am grateful I contacted them.

They paid close attention to the smallest details and were very knowledgeable about not just painting but also about all aspects of construction. They replaced all the damaged planks, rebuilt stairs and above all repaired my glass roof. They were on the job early in the morning and would not leave until late afternoon. We loved Steve…read moreand after interviewing several painters, we decided on him as he was so personable and knew his craft: his 2 helpers, however, were a disappointment. One of them lied to me about something he had done, even though the helpers were told by us and by Steve to not do. They delayed the job by 1 -2 days as they didn't listen to Steve's instructions, and they left parts of the deck framing unfinished. We paid a fair price for the job, but unfortunately, we had to have them come back and ultimately my husband finished doing the touch up work. I don't normally write reviews like this, but I believe it's important to comment on the not-so-good work as well as the good work performed by companies. Because it isn't the front man that oftentimes does the work, it's the people who are hired by the front man who do the job and you don't always know who that is. If it was just Steve, I'd hire him in an instant.

They had to paint our 2 story in the extreme Sacramento heat, but still finished in a few weeks. They found some areas of dry rot and were transparent in referring us to a carpenter who helped repair the problem simultaneously. We love the colors we picked out and you can tell they did a thorough paint job that will hopefully last. Would definitely recommend!

Rich and crew did a great job painting our large two-story house in El Dorado Hills. They were…read morethorough in every way. I would use them again without any hesitation. If you are getting your house painted with any contractor a few suggestions: 1) Nail down the exact colors and sheens you want for every surface. Find a house with what you want that is already done and go with it. Suggest using a flatter sheen if picking between two. We went with a satin sheen on a surface that would have been better with a flat sheen. 2) Communicate, communicate, communicate with the painting crew and the general manager.
