Staff is not properly trained, provided me with different information for two different members. Food is horrible pizza is nasty I'd recommend for you to eat before coming here sodas are not refillable and the cup only contains around 12oz, not to mention that they try to direct the events when you have paid for a rental. 0/10. THE RESTROOM STALLS DONT HAVE DOORS no dividers for urinals either.

10/10 recommend going her for a birthday party! I rented out foothill skating rink for my daughter's birthday, and the staff totally made my daughters birthday magical! They answered all our questions, were helpful on the decorations, and all had positive attitudes. I will definitely be going back and will rent out this location again for a birthday or maybe just for fun because who doesn't love rollar skating! Thank you again to all the staff for making my daughters birthday such a special memory for the books!

Saturday skate lessons, phenomenal staff, highly recommended for all ages. There are more adults than kids.

Highly recommended for anyone learning to skate. Only $7 a person. The Saturday staff are very compassionate and willing to work with all levels of skaters. They have cards that tell you how to progress to the next level, and a mini graduation ceremony at the end of every Saturday class for anyone who completed their level and moving up to the next. I've been coming here since 3rd grade. Even my mother has been coming here since her childhood. Great place, great staff, great memories.

Ask the Community - Foothill Skate Inn Inc

Do they offer inline skating lessons?

I would not let these employees anywhere near your kids. They're very rude and abusive. Have you seen the video of them floating around where they verbally attacked and stalked a patron!?

Are they still open considering the pandemic?

As the closest roller rink to us, this is not a bad experience at all. Fairly good deal, especially…read moreregarding children skating for free certain days. Entry for two was $14 on a Sunday night (1/14/24) Employees are young and seem overworked. Could use a morale boost from management! Fairly busy on the night we went, with about 70% kids and 30% adults. Some of those kids are wild on the rink. Our group was 6 people and 4 of us were knocked down by kids. Still has the same old carpet and foot odor smell from years ago. Skate attendant swaps your shoes for the skates to ensure they return at the end of your stay. The location could use a cleaning, but one does sign up for an unclean experience when you plan to go rollerblading. Overall fun! Icee's are refreshing after a long rollerblading session. I'm honestly so disappointed with our experience at Sunrise Rollerland -- and this isn't even the…read morefirst bad one, just the one that finally pushed me to say something. I grew up in this rink. I was a club skater for over 15 years and spent a huge part of my childhood here. It used to feel like home -- fun, safe, and full of energy. But now? It feels like nobody working there actually cares. The only person who seemed happy to be there was Genevieve (who also happens to be a club skater). Everyone else was either rude, disinterested, or just plain unfriendly. What really got to me, though, was the total lack of standards. There's a dress code posted right outside, yet when I asked about it, the manager (Ellie) told me it was "old" and that people can just wear whatever they want. I'm sorry, but when you have kids skating around, there needs to be some level of respect and boundaries. Adult skate nights? Sure -- go for it. But mixed-age sessions? No. It's not appropriate for someone to be skating around in a bra while little kids are there. And instead of handling it reasonably -- like just asking the person to put on a shirt -- management told her to leave. Which just shows how out of touch they are with how to handle things professionally or with any common sense. It honestly breaks my heart to see how far this place has fallen. The owners (who I heard are selling) should be ashamed of how it's being run. This rink used to mean something to our community. It was a place where kids learned discipline, families made memories, and people felt safe. They probably don't care, but I hope they get to read this and go into their establishment and see for themselves.

Raising a child has so many benefits, one being that they challenge you as a parent to retreat from…read morebecoming too comfortable and doing what you deem to be "safe." A perfect example of this is my son's recent request to go skating to celebrate his 12th birthday. As a child I absolutely loved skating, so much so that every other week my mom would take my sister and I to the now defunct Cal Skate that was located in South Sacramento. As I became an adult with a career, I stopped skating out of fear of injuring myself. However, when I saw the excitement in my son's eyes when we confirmed our plans to visit King's Skate Country, I dusted off my skates in anticipation. Prior to visiting the skating rink, I called to confirm their hours. A very friendly and patient employee explained to me that the skate times are as follows on Saturdays: 10:30 am 1:00 pm, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, and 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Since I called at 2:15 pm (45 minutes prior to the end of the second session), we opted to participate in the third and last session at 3 pm. Upon arriving at the establishment, we were very fortunate to find a parking spot as second session customers vacated the premises. The parking lot is very small; therefore, if you may have to wait quite awhile to secure skating rink parking or park near one of the surrounding businesses. Upon entry we were greeted by a friendly cashier who processed our payment for three admission tickets and two pairs of skates (I brought my skates from home). After lacing up our skates, we put our shoes in a locker (lockers are 50 cents- don't forget to bring change) and proceeded to hit the rink floor. Since the size of the rink is fairly small (something that I saw mentioned in a lot of the other Yelp reviews), it does feel fairly congested when busy. However, I didn't see this as a negative. I feel like the smaller size made for an intimate skating experience that encouraged patrons to interact with other patrons (community). Although two hours doesn't sound like a ton of time, I found it to be appropriate. It was just enough time for my wife and I to work through the rust (it had been almost 10 years since we last skated) and eventually get our skate on a la the movie "ATL." My son had a great time skating and like me couldn't hide his excitement. To break up the routine, every so often the DJ/event facilitator would organize participants for a game (i.e., Limbo, Four Corners, Red Light/Green Light). The music here is REALLY good; so good that I often got so lost in it that all worries of falling subsided as I grooved to the beats! If you're looking to disconnect from screens, have some fun, and burn some calories (I burned 471 calories) I recommend visiting King's Skate Country!

Lots of laughing because we were going so slow and felt like we were about to fall the whole time. The place looks a bit old but it's clean and decent. From start to finish, the staff was incredible: welcoming, organized, kind, and genuinely supportive of our group. Hosting a large, mixed-age group can be challenging, and they handled everything with ease and warmth. The atmosphere was truly magical. The fire pits, s'mores, and the beautifully lit tree created such a cozy, festive environment -- it felt like a Hallmark movie night in the best way. Many of our veterans shared how special it was to simply be present, relaxed, and making memories with their families. Several attendees mentioned that this was their favorite event of the season, and that says everything. The rink provided not just a fun activity, but a space that felt safe, joyful, and community-centered. We're incredibly grateful to the Folsom Ice Rink team for helping make this night so meaningful. We would love to come back and highly recommend this rink for group events, family outings, or anyone looking for a truly special winter experience. Thank you for an unforgettable evening! Venue: the ice rink is a circle around a giant Christmas tree that used to be a railroad turntable. At night, you can see all the sparkly Christmas decor and lights. There's some photo opportunities for young children next to the rink. Not that they have a policy against using phones on the ice rink. Ticket purchasing: this is a cashless ice rink, so they only accept payment online on their website. Skate rentals: After showing them your ticket, you can go pick up your skates at the back of the venue. I believe they mentioned that all skates were men's sizes, so for women you might need a shoe that is one size lower than your normal shoe size. I got a size 7, even though my shoe size is 8.5. My friends noted that there is inconsistency in the level of cushion/comfort in some skates. Crowd/Ice: This ice rink was pretty crowded even at 8 PM on a Sunday on a non-peak holiday time. It didn't seem like they refreshed the ice before our session. Overall, this ice rink was pretty fun and we loved the holiday decor. I don't know that crowd levels are low at any time, but I'd consider prioritizing adult only skating sessions :)
