Before the procedure, we fully disclosed her serious medical conditions, including severe IBS, malabsorption, and immune-related complications that make repeat surgeries and anesthesia especially difficult and risky for her. After the extractions, we discovered that alveolar ridge preservation (bone grafting) was not performed. When we later asked why this critical step had been omitted, we were not given a clear explanation. We have since consulted other dental professionals who advised us that, because too much time has passed, attempting the procedure now may no longer be effective. What is most troubling is that we were never informed beforehand that bone grafting would not be done, nor were we advised about the potential consequences such as accelerated bone loss and limitations for future dental restoration options. Had we known, we would have made different decisions regarding treatment. As a result, my wife may now require additional surgical procedures that she may not be medically able to tolerate. This situation has caused significant physical pain, emotional distress, treatment delays, and financial burden. We are sharing this experience so that other patients -- especially those with complex medical conditions -- understand the importance of asking detailed questions about treatment planning, bone preservation, and post-extraction care before proceeding with major dental procedures. When I made the appointment that night of the chip in complete hysteria, he moved appointments around and opened up the practice at 8 am the next day so I could come in as soon as possible and not miss my important class finals. The day I went in, they placed temporaries on two teeth to fix my smile and make me feel more comfortable, and Dr Ash made sure everything looked perfect and that my permanent teeth were ordered and ready. That experience completely changed the way I view going to the dentist and doctor standards in general. Since then, I have continued seeing him not just for cosmetic work, but for cleanings, cavities, and anything else I have needed. I now live in LA and still make the drive from Beverly Hills to Mission Viejo about twice a year because I genuinely love this place, the people, and Dr Ash. The environment is amazing, and I have never felt more comfortable or trusted a doctor more. He truly is one of a kind. He always follows up after appointments to check in, which is rare. For example, today I went in to get a cavity fixed, they gave me my favorite complimentary microbial mouthwash that is normally pricey and great for your gums, and Dr Ash personally called me after the work day to see how I was doing.
