I am a teacher here at Foothill CDC in the school age classroom. I am a former employee who has returned after many, many years of working in a different industry. I have a Bachelors degree in Child Development & Adolescent Studies and always intended to work with children. I got away from that for a while and worked in property management for ten years. Due to circumstances out of my control I ended up leaving that field which was a blessing in disguise as I had greatly missed working with children for all those years. I called the center and spoke with our Assistant Director, Ms. Ellie and it just happened to be that the center was in need of a school age teacher. Perfect timing and meant to be! I started around a week later. Some things were familiar from my previous employment. I had worked with our Director Ms. Pauline and Ms. Ellie before so it was great to see them again. I immediately noticed all the positive changes that had been made to the center. The appearance, procedures, supervision aspects. The other staff members I met were really friendly and welcoming and made me feel right at home! The first thing I noticed was all the staff willingness to work together, collaborate and assist each other when needed. Everyone is always ready and willing to step up and help out. Even if help is needed in another classroom, the kitchen or the office. The teachers and staff are loving and really care about our kids and their families. The kids are great and it's been so much fun getting the know them! I started just before Spring break so I was able to go on a couple of field trips to the movies and the park with my class. We had so much fun! The other teachers in my class are great as well. We each bring our own interests and talents to the classroom. I enjoy baking as a hobby so I've done a couple of baking projects with the kids and they really enjoyed it. I absolutely love Foothill Child Development Center! I never thought id be able to leave my kids at a daycare and their dad wasnt having it! Im so glad we looked around and found this Child care. My Children love comming to "School" they are always so welcomed with open arms. Mrs. Lori is so awesome in the morning. Her and Mrs. Pam Make an excellent team! Mrs. Michelle is always so carring for my girls and holds and loves them on their bad days. And then there Mrs. Moniz. Theres not many my baby girl will cling to so early in the morning like her. She takes such good care of my little Jimbo. Shes so patient and loving with her. Mrs Joslyn is so creative and blows my mind with how well she is with my little infant. I love picking them up in the Evening and seeing Mrs. Joslyn with my baby girl. Mrs Anna is so good to my two older girs. Miss Stephanie took on the challenge of potty training my 2 year old!!! It was a strugle but with her help it was a success! Theres so much i have to say!!! All the ladys play a big roll her and are dedicated to their job! I know my children our safe when they are here! Nothing Brightens my day more than walking in and being greated by Mrs. Ellie. Shes always in high spirts with a great big smile on her face. Mrs. Pauline is running an awesome facility and always knows whats going on. I fill so safe leaving my 3 girls under Mrs Pauline And Mrs Ellie! I know that they pour there hearts into this place. Its not just a get up and go job for them, they take the time to know every parent that walks in that door and build a friendship and personal relationships with each Child! My twins have been attending this facility since they were 8 months old. I was so scared and skeptical about leaving my children in the hands of complete strangers and seeing careless, wreckless and sometimes even abusive daycare facilities it made me even more paranoid my husband and I had visited four other facilities prior before visiting FCDC. I mean as soon as you walk in You feel the love from everyone and the trackers truly do live and care about these children, they have classes all the way up to grade school and even pick the kids up from school. My husband and I both feel We made the Best decision choosing this facility. I love the staff they know call and greet you by your First name as soon as you hit the door! (First impression is everything) Ms Ellie Ms Pauline are the best daycare Directors I have ever seen. My twins were raised from nursery to currently in preschool! I mean they have assisted us so much starting with transitioning from pacifier to no pacifier, bottle to sippy cup, diapers to pull ups, pull ups to potty training I can go on and on!! I love this facility I would give it these teachers and staff are freaking phenomena!!! If you are looking for a well clean maintained organized and structured curriculum for your child this is the family facility you need to choose they are just amazing hands down!!! I am a parent whose children have attended Kids Garden for about 4 months now and when I heard from one of the teachers how bad this place use to be I had to do some research. When I came across yelp and seen the reviews I felt obligated to give my 2 cents. I love this place, my kids live this place, my husband and mom live this place. My sister just enrolled her 3 year old and already lives this place. I don't know the owner to well, but I am very familiar with the office staff alanna and marina are so adorable and genuinely care about these kids. His teachers miss Lori and Chloe are wonderful. I won't say things are perfect but I will say the change is wonderful. If I had to say things I would like to change is getting this entire school re painted I know that will take a lot but they already have plans on how to get that done. I am very much aware of their write ups and still feel extremely comfortable leaving my children. Im glad they let go of Peggy she was not good for the school and was the cause of a lot of issues the school dealt with. I understand when your cleaning up a place you have to deal with the old negative stuff for a while but I have total faith this school and staff will do just fine. This place is a big joke. PLEASE PARENTS, DON'T TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE! These people are such liars, manipulators and only tell you what they think you want to here. My child has gone to this school for years, until I finally had enough. My child was very happy here until new owners took over the school. I cannot begin to say how awful this place has become. In the past year they have replaced teacher after teacher without any care to the children and how this would make them feel. Upon asking why my child's teacher is no longer at the school, all I got was a bunch of excuses and lies that she had found another job and had moved on. To my shock, I happened to run into this teacher and was told that she was terminated because she complained about the abuse and treatment of the children by other teachers. The owner Samantha and Director Joelle would bully these poor girls and play them against one another. How old are these petty women? who obviously don't have a life. Parents are paying top dollar to have our children taken care of by what we think are professionals. What we actually got was under paid and over worked young kids making $8.00 and hour. This is what they think of our children. This place really needs to be investigated by the state. read more

My children attend kids garden, and with new management new teachers and nicely remodeled classrooms. The staff and environment is positive , caring, and most of all professional. The reviews I read about kids garden are very untrue and far from what was written. The new management is great, the director is always smiling and walking around checking on students and teachers to make sure they are doing good. The curriculum and educational computer programs they offer and teach there are great. I have seen major improvement in my son. The teacher coordinator Mrs. V is a wonderful sweet teacher she is always decorating and making the classrooms and hallways cool and fun, children are always around her watching and enjoying the way she makes it like a big fun house. I highly encourage any parents looking for daycare to ignore those foolish negative comments. They are far from what Kids Garden is today. Good school. Glad my children enjoy it and love the staff, I go to work everyday and feel very comfortable leaving my children at kids garden. You have to go in for a tour and experience the school for yourself. My daughter has all her kids here. They are nice and polite and caring people. All the staff know my grandkids by name. I know that the staff help my grandkids with their homework if needed. They have a good time here.They teach them and they learned to share and be polite with others. My granddaughter is a little over a year and half and she has learn so many words that now speaks a lot. My 4 year old grandson learned to be potty training seeing other kids going potty, the staff was patient with him. Every time I have pick up my grandkids the staff have always polite and nice and let me know if something has happen that we need to be aware. They even track the kids daily activities from eating, napping and going potty. I really enjoy coming to pick up my grandkids when I do because I know my grandkids had fun and they were taken care. I also liked the fact that they check your ID when you first start picking the kids and make sure you are on the list. I would recommend this child care and learning center to others. I have 2 children that have been going to Kids garden for about 3 years. The first year was Amazing!!! Mrs. Pam and Ms. Carmen were a Godsend! However after the change in Ownership they left the Daycare. The "Teacher" turn over rate in CRAZY. All the "Teachers" are young kids now, some even kids of other staff member.... I cant imagine that most of them are even qualified to work with children. Don't get me started on how some(not every) teachers yell at these kids!! I have had to complain few times because it was so inappropriate. The only office member who knows what she's doing is Mellissa (Who is the only consistent thing about this place) And the place is so Dirty, my kids even come home smelling like it. They stared Charging extra season fess on top of tuition, this is supposed to cover extra activities but I'm still having to pay for field trips during Summer. Kids Garden has the potential to be a wonderful daycare, If only the staff were better qualified and took better care of the classrooms. read more

The staff treats my children with so much love that it makes it easier to drop off my kids because I know they are being taken care of by the wonderful staff. My oldest started attending since she was three now she is 14 but she still remembers all the good memories she had when she attended and will never forget Ms. Pauline the director of the facility. Still to this day she will come with me to pick up my two youngest and give Ms. Pauline a big hug letting her know she still loves her. Thank you to Mrs. Lorrie and Mrs. Pam for having so much patience with my little one and always communicating with me with the daily activities the class goes over with the children. Thank you to Ms. Jenni for treating Jasleen with so much kindness she has nothing but good things to share about you. This is truly a horrible place. They only want perfectly behaved children and if your child does not have behavior perfect they will kick them out of the school. Do NOT let the new owner fool you, it may seem like there have been good changes but there have not. The teachers don't even teach! My child was in the so-called prek class and couldn't even trace his name at the end of the year. The put the children in time outs, or "on the wall" as they call it. The staff snaps at the children all day and are never able to answer any questions! They fired the only good staff member they had, Ms. Sydney, she went above and beyond for my children always making sure they were well taken care of. The only office staff left is constantly in the parking lot on the phone and never seems interested in working. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy! read more

In June Kids Garden was taken over by new owners. Since then they have cleaned house, letting go of their senior teachers and bringing in new teachers. Their new staff comes with less training and experience in child development for example, having unstructured classrooms, yelling at the children and displaying low patience. The students have been struggling with having a new teacher on a daily basis. When walking into the classroom, it would be nice to be greeted with a smile. Both front office staff and teachers are unfriendly, and seem bothered when spoken to. I recently gave my required 2 week notice and have taken my child out. You would think with the extra fees and staff changes that we would see positive changes. Instead we see a COMPANY who cares only about the money their bringing in rather than the young children they are caring for. read more

Ms. Pauline the director and staff gave us a quite first impression at Foothill child Development Center she told us the school be under new ownership for the last two years and the school couldn't be any better . They just opened a brand new Infant toddler classroom everything is brand new classroom is big and very clean and other thing made us feel really comfortable that they had cameras throughout the classroom and the whole school , we took a tour without a doubt , this is the place to enroll my infant . Teachers incredibly loving and caring the staff at Foothill CDC made us feel like we were part of their family . Words cannot express how grateful i am to this team of ladies. Pauline Lori Michelle Ellie Crystal Jasmine Anna and the whole team really cares about the kids and especially the single mothers. They work around the clock to make this a better experience for our children. We love Foothill CDC, they are like family to us. My oldest was there until Kindergarten, she last had Ms.Pam and Ms.Lori as teachers. They are both such amazing women and mentors to the kids. Ms. Pam left such a mark on our daughter that she talks about her still almost daily. We owe so much to her class and their teachings, Zoey is entering Kindergarten more than prepared and full of love. There are those special teachers you remember forever, for their patience, motivating words, kindness, and lessons. I have six months here with my two year old son. It's not easy letting go of your little ones but let me say I trust them and I have felt safe more than ever. The teachers are great at their jobs and I give them props for putting up with all the kids there. My son has learned so much here and I love how the staff and the kids at the day care know each other by name. I don't know why there are bad reviews, but if you're a hard working parent you know the struggle it is to keep up with kids and this staff is just amazing. Great place for your kids. The director is always available. Very friendly staff. Teachers are understanding to my kids special needs. They go above and beyond to help meet their needs. Eleanor is always in the front as soon as you need her. A LOT of room. Spacious classrooms and divided nicely among the different age groups. Nice outside activity choices. Optional van runs if your child needs it for school to and from. Close to stores if needed. The building is far enough back from the street curb that there is no question of safety for the children. Foothill Child Development Center is a place I call my second home. From the children and parents to the staff, and of course the amazing administration team. The staff here is amazing! I love the director Ms.pauline, Ellie at the front desk, Ms.Pam, Ms. Lori, Ms, Brianna and Ms Michelle...all the teachers here is just fantastic! My grandson just loves going here he is 4yrs old and has been at this daycare for a year and a half he can't wait to go to school every day and see his friends and teachers . They treat you like family and they are all so friendly . I would highly recommend this daycare . They care about and love all the kids as if they were there own children . FCDC is heaven sent! My daughter has been attending for a year now and she has flourished with her speech and social skills. She loves learning and doing arts and crafts which they provide everyday. All the staff is so kind, treat you like family and genuinely care for the kids here and it shows! The facility is warm and inviting, we are greeted every morning by Ms. Lori who's energy is so welcoming!!
