Taking just a point off for some cleanliness items around the space, and a little collision where the basin filling was in the same space as the guest restroom. Zero stars. Sadly I can no longer recommend this business. There is another review documenting a skin reaction, which is what happened to my husband. He developed what appeared to be a rash around his ankles. The red marks spread up his calves, eventually looking concerning enough for an urgent care visit. It was a bacterial infection. Nothing in his routine had changed except the combo at the Foot Place. A round of string antibiotics and steroids finally brought it under control. If you really want to go, ask to see them give you fresh sheets and towels, watch them place a new plastic liner in the foot soaking tub, and make sure they wear gloves or wash their hands. (You shouldn't have to do this, but no one should have to do this at a place that touches your body.) read more

While the pricing at this establishment has generally met my expectations, I recently encountered hygiene issues during a massage session. The overpowering smell of cigarette smoke either from their clothes or their hands and subsequent skin reactions/ acne have led me to question the cleanliness of their practices. I've been to many massage places around the world and locally. Every time I get a massage somewhere else I come to the realization that no place compares to here. Very reasonably priced especially. I recommend getting the combo massage, 60 minute or 90 minute. They give you a full deep massage throughout the body. It may be uncomfortable your first few times coming here but these people really know how to work deep into your tissues and joints. You can always ask them to go harder or softer during your massage as well. I like to bring my own CBD massage oil as well. Don't forget to tip, they will always take care of you and very much appreciate it. Linda and lisa are my favorites here, the guys and other girls really know how to give a good massage as well, wish I knew all their names otherwise I would mention them. Never had a bad massage here from any of the masseuse's. They understand the human body very well and will read yours throughout the massage. I try to come here at least on a monthly basis minimum, would like to do every two weeks if I could. You really notice how much better you feel as soon as you leave and the following days. Been here several times now. But updating my review to horrible now. Lily was good but she left and had a massage with Lisa and my body is more pain then I walked in then before. Told her to do it harder and she kept using her elbow not her hands and throughout the whole time all she kept massaging with her elbow. Plus when it came to my back she had 2 players of towels and then get elbow massage on the lower back which had a knot and now it's in more pain then anything. Plus she didn't want to use the lotion/oil they use when you get a massage. For the back she didn't want to massage upper back side she kept looking at the clock. She mostly used her elbows rather than her hands and fingers. We went to dinner and then came here at 8pm on a Saturday night... Perfect way to relax. Great for couples or friends as there are two beds side by side. It was an okay massage but I'm very concerned about the cameras pointing into the room directly at you. You have to take your clothes off for the massage without any notice there's cameras recording you. That is invasion of privacy!! I didn't see the camera until after the massage and sat up to put my clothes back on. Now they have recording of me with no top on. They need to be shut down. read more

Great spot for a 60-minute foot massage and was only $30! They took us right away and the place had a quiet ambiance with piano music playing softly in the background. You keep your clothes on and only take off your shoes and socks because you dip your feet into the warm water. I had a man who did a great job on my massage. He started at my head, neck, shoulders, and then did my feet and worked his way back up to my arms and backside. The only thing I wish he did was use more lotion to massage my shoulders/neck area since it felt a little tough to smoothly massage the muscles. He was also applying a lot of pressure when he massaged my back and used his elbows to really get out my knots - some individuals might need softer pressure, but I really needed it and felt so relaxed afterwards!! I would never return to this location again. I've been here alone 3 times first in 2014, again in 2015, and lastly in 2016. My first time here I thought it was visually nice, I had women servicing me and my massage was nice, the 2nd time I had a man and I did not like how hard he was pushing, and pulling on my back and toes. He did not speak English so I had to stop him two times and get a worker (when walking by) to explain to him not to be so hard on me & not to pull and pop my toes! The last time I was here with a group of 4 women, 2 liked their services, myself, and 2 others did not. I asked for a woman vs a man and was accomodated, but she stopped in the middle of my foot soaking and got a man to finish up. When we all left out to pay, I decided to only give a $5 tip, the cashier actually said "$5, thats all you give for all one hour work we did", I said "Excuse me" and explained what took place with their workers, my friend intervened and stated to the lady that I can tip whatever amount I care to tip and that they cant tell me how much to tip them! If you do not feel that way at the end, then it really doesnt matter how cheap the massage it, it becomes a waste of money. There is no privacy here and you cannot talk because there is no individual rooms. The whole place is very dark, almost hard to see. I think it could use some ambiance lighting. I am concerned about the cleanliness, when you lay on your stomach they give you one of those travel neck pillows. No paper towel or anything, so how many people's faces have been on it? Lack of english, you cannot communicate with your masseuse, you need to be able to tell him how much pressure and communicate your likes dislikes and concerns. Finally had the guts to go there today after driving by this place many times. I wasn't sure what to expect. The man showed me where to go to a room told me to lay down. Then a different started to work on my head, shoulder, leg, feet and back. He hits the right places where I was having pains. It was little pain but worth it! My back and shoulder felt much better now. When it was over, I didn't want to leave. I just want to sleep. Felt so relaxing and pain free in my back. I'm become some sort of reflexology obsessed expert/stalker over the past year. Since they started pooping up everywhere, anywhere I frequent(or am I stuck at) I yelp to see if there is one nearby. And lucky me, there is one by my office in the burbs. Perfect for when I need to drive up north and/or kill time because of dumb Chicago traffic. I've been here twice and the first time had me overjoyed at my find and the second time had me craving more. I get there is and probably always will be a language barrier, but techs should at least know the common massage words like harder, stronger, more pressure, less, etc. I had to tell my girl maybe 5 times to go a little harder...I want a massage, not to be poked at and caressed. It wasn't until the manager came to ask what I needed that she was able to get it..and when she did, it was good. Too bad there was only 15-20 minutes left. So this makes it more of a 3.5 rating upped because they are nice and I will be back...but mainly because of location. But it's def not my favorite. read more

I used to go to this place regularly, but the last three times I went it was terrible. One person would start my massage, someone would come in and they would switch, and then again towards the end. Ridiculous. And during the "switcharoo" they would talk. Felt rushed and not relaxing at all. Plus I think the place needs a deep cleaning. Feels and smells dirty. Will not be going back. I'm new to the area and thought it would be a great treat and easy way to unwind. I made an appointment for 6:15pm and one of the associates called me to ask to push my appointment to 7pm. I arrived at 7pm to find out they never changed my appointment to the appropriate time. The language barrier made it very difficult to understand the gentleman working there and he told me I could wait 45min-1hr for the next opening slot. This is not the traditional massage place (massage envy, heights, etc) it's better. It's a good mix of Thai with traditional and all around deep pressure with a dive atmosphere. Minus one star for the sanitation level... when turning over to your stomach, they use a neck pillow with a heart shaped paper towel over it. Chances are good it's sanitary enough, but combined with deep pressure your head doesn't really stay on the pillow. All in all worked the knots out better than most (especially for a bigger guy). 3 weeks ago i called this place in advance to ask how much is a (full body massage) for my wife and my daughter, and the lady over the phone told me $35 each, something came up so they planed on going today. Today I called to confirm the price and I was told the price was $40, I didn't think much of it because I thought they might have raised the price because of COVID so i set the appointment anyway. Once my wife and daughter got there a guy ask them what they wanted to get done and they told them my husband set the appointment for (full body massage) and the guy told them that would be $50 and it's $40 For foot massage only, my wife decided to just stay and get it done since they drove all the way there. When she told me I was shocked because it started from $35 and went up to $50 within a short of time, I told her since they're being deceitful and greedy just pay them the $50 only with no "tip". Once they were done and she went to pay them, she gave them the money and walked off, but before they got to the door the guy went to them holding a sign saying you must "tip". My sister & I recently came here for massages. I think overall it was okay but I felt the need to leave a review based on two things I didn't like: the guy who my sister had as her masseuse smelled terribly of cigarettes... Who I also had the first time I came here so I can relate to my first experience here when I came with my husband since I had the same guy... I'm sorry but when you are touching people's face and body and are in close proximity to them for an hour, the last thing you want is to feel like you are smelling an ashtray... the whole point of a massage is to relax, so good hygiene is important. Secondly, the guy who did my massage was very rough throughout... when it was time to turn over for my back to get massages I even forewarned the guy to not do it too hard & I literally had to hold my breath at 1 point because of how hard he was putting pressure on my back... some people like it hard and I can handle a decent amount of intensity when it comes to applied pressure during a massage but overall I thought it was too intense. I don't think I will return here since I wouldn't want to take the risk in getting the cigarette guy again... but if you don't mind that smell and can handle hard massages, go for it. Let me start out by saying this is not the first foot reflexology place I've been to (I'm Asian, after all, so I've had my share of experiences in this department). Generally, I've always enjoyed going to an establishment such as this. What is there not to like? A full body (feet, head, neck, and back massage) for under $30? Nothing. Well..... that is, unless the person doing your massage clearly wants you to suffer by using every single ounce of energy in their body to try to crush your bones/tendons/muscles/nerves. I know that many people prefer deep tissue massages with some extra pressure, TRUST ME I KNOW, I am ONE of those people! I sincerely despise weak ass massages (what's the point of them really? They will not be doing you a favor by leaving all the knots in). However, the massage that I received at this place was SO painful that I was visibly grimacing throughout the entire hour. There were moment when you could ACTUALLY HEAR my bones and my tendons grinding against one another. I had a male masseuse, and I am fairly tiny (105 lbs, 5'3"). It doesn't take a freaking genius to see that you don't need to putting ALL OF YOUR MALE PROWESS PRESSURE into giving me a massage for me to have a VERY proficient deep tissue massage experience. I mean REALLY?!?! Isn't it common sense that if you have a small girl on your table with not much fat covering her bones that you PROBABLY should NOT press/dig/push your entire body weight into her back, neck, head, and feet? In addition, there are many nerves associated with these aforementioned regions. And the fact that these employees working at foot place probably aren't well-versed in nerve impingement, it would have made me feel a lot safer if they did not try to dig into every single nerve on my body. I left with horrible cramping pain in my neck, feet, as well as a ginormous migraine that weren't in existence till I had my "spa" experience. I will not be coming back here.
