My second food tour in Santiago, FoodyChile is a little bit more high end and the price was a little higher than the other tour. We also walked further, experienced more and spent more time together. Worth it.
This tour took us through some of the markets, a long walk through Parque Forestal and stops along the way for Mote Con Huesillo (a very refreshing peach drink), empanadas, ice cream, and a platter of shrimp, ceviche and beef tartare. Plenty of booze to drink including an excellent beer and wine.
Along the tour, led by the very entertaining Samy, we saw the sights and some of the places that make up Santiago's culture including the park, the Cerro Santa Lucia, a few neat neighborhoods and ending up near Bellas Artes. There was no language barrier - she spoke excellent English. read more
