I was pleasantly surprised with the selection of vegan items that they carried. It was one of the first things that I noticed upon walking in. They had a pretty decent selection of faux meats and tons of healthy food options like salads and big displays of nuts and dried fruits. They also carried spicy Casanova chips which I find are hard to find. They had a lot of take and go items like cut up fruit, sandwiches, sushi, and cheese platters. Store is bright, clean. Took a bit to figure out the layout and where to find items. Cashier was the friendliest I have ever come across. I found some prices were a tad on the high side for some items. Cute store. If I lived in the community, I would frequent more often.

They have lots of food samples near their hot and ready to go meal section as well as the cheese section. They also have really good sales and deals. The staff are very friendly. I have to say (as someone who doesn't drink much alcohol) that my favourite part of the store was their joint LCBO and Beer Store section. Although a small section of the store, it had the selection of a strip mall sized LCBO and larger cases of beer. This will definitely be on our list of places to grab groceries being only 10 mins or so from our place.

The mini petting zoo was a hit, the bunnies were my personal favourite. Don't go expecting anything crazy, it's petite but sweet. The wagon ride was short, but still cool to experience. Again, many of us had never been to an orchard so it felt like a nice novelty experience. I had expected it to be a bit longer and to maybe see more (like the pumpkins) but, it was still enjoyable. The apple picking itself was cool. Definitely neat to get our ladders up there and pluck our own fruit... however, due to the intense winds from the tornadoes that passed through town last week, many of the apples had already fallen. Can't fault the venue for that though- that's all mother nature! It's important to note that my group went during the day in the middle of the week. It was explained to us that the little bakery area is open on weekends and they have things available such as churros and other treats. I would definitely come back on a weekend with friends to see what the true, full experience could be like.

When they came to the car, they asked if it was ok to give me this old meat. No discount. So if I refuse I get no food. Lovely place that takes advantage of people who are trying to stay safe during covid. I've spoken to other community members and they've had the same sub par products experience. Seems like store policy is to unload the expiring and damaged goods to curbside customers who have no choice. I drive to YIG at Riverside South or Smiths Falls. I will never shop here again if i can help it.

As a former employee there, I can say nothing but bad things about this place. I quit on spot…read moreafter a month of working there. I won't go into details but the store owner Sylvie Jonsson was very disrespectful to myself and my coworker/friend while we were working. Sylvie also basically harassed me while I was in my department working. In my opinion, if she wanted to clear the air she should have brought us into her office and not spoken to us the way she did in front of customers. What she did is considered workplace harassment. She used her position in the store as a threat to my coworker and i. Basically saying that she can fire us at any given moment if she wanted to. After the whole ordeal, I quit on spot and the same day, my coworker gave in her 2 weeks notice. When this happened, Sylvie then began trying to 'be the bigger person' in the situation. Basically panicking because now she knows that she's going to lose staff because of the way she treated us. I dont recommend working for Sylvie Jonsson at all... Unless you want to work for someone who is insanely disrespectful and rude, and who thinks that the world revolves around her. Another thing that happened was people were trying to defend her saying that she 'has a temper'. Im sorry but temper or no temper, I'm not being treated like that. Do yourself a favour and dont work for her. I left that place crying the day I quit. Not worth it.

My first visit to a Whole Foods Market was years ago, after completing a job interview in Yorkville…read morein Toronto. I definitely remember what I got: a slice of tiramisu. At that time, it was the only Whole Foods in the greater Toronto area. Whole Foods has grown on me, likely because Markham has one and I frequent it often. I don't fit the profile of a typical Whole Foods shopper who tends to carry expensive handbags, must get everything organic, and can afford all things expensive, including tiny bottles of elixirs that extend their years on planet Earth. I like their dairy-free items. I love Carbonaut bread and the entire bakery section, including tiramisu. There are specific items that I get at this store. If I'm looking for romaine lettuce or celery, you'll likely see me at a grocery store that offers these items at normal, cheaper prices. Four years ago, I was in the Glebe and saw this Whole Foods store. I didn't go in. I had already got what I needed at a Metro. On my most recent visit, after spending a few hours exploring the area with a friend, I realized that I needed almond beverage and lemons. I had yet to set foot in any grocery store. They were good reasons to check this store out. I had parked underground. The elevator got me to this store. I exited the elevator on the main floor to hit Winners. This store has a cafe that occupies the entire floor. It was busy just before noon. People must love getting coffee and a baked good here. When I returned just past 5 pm, you could hear crickets on this floor. The cafe was closed. It was different. My local one is still open when I'm there at 7 pm. I have yet to hit the cafe at any Whole Foods location. I took the escalator up to the second floor, which is where the entire supermarket is. I immediately found almond beverage. Organic. Sugar-free. Perfect. I also found the produce area. The Rainier cherries looked good. They were also so expensive that I blocked the price out and moved on. I got a couple of lemons. You could get a bag of six. The price was the same if you calculated how much one lemon was going for, so you might as well pick your own pristine-looking lemons. I looked around. It has the usual salad and hot food bars. You pay by weight, which does add up if you aren't careful. There were lots of snacks and drinks to choose from. A can of flavoured carbonated water was going for $2.69. It makes you wonder how this store determines the prices that it sets. It was enjoyable looking at the plants and flowers. It's a nice grocery store. I had an equally nice woman at the checkout area. I paid for my items with a debit card. I didn't need a bag. My lemons were already in one, so I carried it and my carton of almond beverage to the elevator. It was convenient taking the elevator down to the underground parking lot. I walked to my car, paid for parking, and left. The lemons and almond beverage were great. I'm glad that I got what I needed at this store. I had a fun time shopping here. It's my second Whole Foods that I've been to where it has two floors. We'll see if I return in another four years. Maybe I'll try the cafe... haha! (262)
