Well I guess I can never use food scooter anymore. They've recently changed all of the minimum orders to $25.00. I work alone in an office and I can't leave to get lunch so on some days when I didn't bring my lunch, I liked to order from food scooter , it was always a $15 minimum and a $5 delivery charge. Now it's going to be over $30 and I'd have to add on a bunch of items that I know I won't be able to eat. I guess it's good for large office orders but not all of your customers are groups of people, I'm sure most are people who can't leave to get lunch. I guess it's back to Chinese takeout or pizza for the days I'm desperate. read more

Terrible!! Placed an order and they were the only delivery option available. After close to an hour and a half later, I finally called. Was informed that the restaurant received the order and a driver was on his way to pick it up. The person I spoke with admitted that he didn't place the order with the restaurant until an hour after I had placed it online. He also claimed he had sent a text stating there was a delay, but I never received it. Although he was apologetic, it's completely unacceptable!! BTW, still waiting on the food to arrive. read more

STAY AWAY from this place two hours and food wasn't here. This place needs to close down. Says the driver is busy and they could give me a time. They said a manager would call me back they didnt. I called back and someone else said they would call me back and that they would call the driver that never happened after two hours no call backs I called a third time and they refunded my money. Poor poor business practices..... read more

DO NOT USE FOOD SCOOTER! I canceled an order from Pho D Lite in Waldorf after they failed to even start the order until I called. As a result they had problems finding someone to deliver from Food Scooter and every time I called the young lady kept whining about their closing time, so I canceled the order. She kept blaming food scooter for the delay. I cancelled it and had already ordered grubhub and finished my food when the canceled order showed up at my door. I refused it, of course. Today, Food Scooter cancelled a new order to a different restaurant because it seems that customers are punished for refusing poor services. This effectively begins my formal campaign to prevent people from using Food Scooter and from eating at Pho D Lite. Hope the lost revenue is worth it...... read more

Food Scooter's gaslighting & trolling is an unrecognized artform at this point. Ever see The Chapelle Show's sketch on Kinko's called "Popcopy"? It is like that. But with food. I do accept my responsibility in this as 'the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and not just making a PB&J' I not only absentmindedly used this service (again) but I used cash (again).... & again(again) the driver had no cash despite grilling them and insisting on reassurance. Learn from my stupidity. Let me add an extra-shameful tidbit to my original review: I had a $50 bill on a $25-30ish dollar order so the tip was... large, egregiously large. A large convenience tax that I apparently did not get the message of, so Food Scooter made sure to redeliver. Thanks Food Scooter! Now this time I didnt warn them the size of the bill ahead of time as I suspected maybe my alerting them the bill was $50 the first time was why I was repeatedly 'reassured the driver will have cash' wink wink, nudge nudge... but nah. To his credit, he had a few bucks(*) but it still soared the cost well above a 20% tip including the delivery fees. Worse, according to a few reviews I've seen - I am not the only one who has dealt with this?! Ouch. tl;dr they don't take cash. Sounds vaguely like they're on an UberEAT's model but with even less support... for example I've never seen a warming bag (I personally don't care about this but FYI), had a driver (unprompted) ranting about the job, and twice saw the delivery drivers go through their own wallets for cash(*). But poor support for drivers isnt the customer's responsibility to offset. The only positive about this place is that it will really deter you from blowing your budget on food delivery ... D: so, thanks Food Scooter? read more

They will deliver where no one else will.Tips well earned. I've learned that it's usually the Restaurants are the reason for most, if any delays, not the drivers trying to make ends meet. Encourage anyone to give them a try. read more

Food scooter is by far the worst delivery service out there. The cost of delivery is insane to begin with and this is the second time our order has taken more than two hours. Their contact page link doesn't work to complain and their number has no humans to talk to. They did nothing to remedy the situation the first time this happened. We waited a good 6 months to give them a chance to improvise and it's literally the exact same problem again tonight. They should not be allowed to call themselves food delivery. Still waiting to see what condition the food is delivered in it if ever gets here but last time it was cold as ice. Never again and I truly think they should be out of business since there has been no improvement in there business standard over this length of time. Update: I got a very fast call back when I responded to a delivery update email demanding they remedy the situation. The person was very apologetic and took the time to explain their process to me. We had not received one of our items and he is sending the driver back with it and deducted that from the total as well as some additional money for our trouble. He also gave another email that he personally monitors in case we have issues again. So I have changed the rating from 1 to 3. I will in fact give them another chance. read more

I've only used Food Scooter once so far but I freaking love it!!!! I love the idea of being able to order from my favorite restaurants that don't deliver. Also, I am no longer stuck with Chinese food or pizza, I have healthy options to choose from. Food Scooter is freaking genius! The wait time is a bit much BUT knowing that....just make sure you order your food before everyone is close to death from starving. Food Scooter sends text messages for every step. For example, I received a text when they placed my order, when they arrived at the restaurant, and when they were on the way. The ONLY thing that I don't like is if I want to pay a tip using my debit/credit card, I have to do it when I place my order vs when the delivery person arrives. read more

DO NOT EVER USE THIS PLACE!!!!!!! I placed an order for CHILI's at 6:40 exactly (based on my receipt) and our food did not arrive until 8:57!!!!! The driver said- Im sorry I was waiting at chili's for 40 minutes for your food- um, so PLEASE explain the other ONE HOUR and 37 minutes!!?!?!?!?! And please explain why my food is cold and stiff like it's been sitting in these boxes for 2 hours?!?!?!?! At 8:39 I was told the driver will be at my house in 5 minutes---- he didn't get here until 18 minutes later. NEVER AGAIN!!!! $60 down the drain!!!!!!!!! read more

I wanted to give them a chance but my experience was terrible. I ordered $45 of food at 8:50pm. My order was supposed to arrive at 9:50 pm. Food scooter charged my card and never brought me food. I emailed and called hen and nothing. The following day I called them. I spoke with a polite guy so that was night and he explained it was busy the night before. So I tried to listen but he said they had 14 orders they had to cancel and there was know way he could call all 14 people that orders had to be cancelled. if you charge me and don't bring my food I should get a call or a email or text or something. I won't be using them again. They did say they cancelled my payment but it was to late because the whole night I was hangry. read more

Honestly, I am glad I tried this service today. I have bee living in White Plains for a year and did not have much healthy alternatives or food options in the area that deliver with the exception of papa johns and chinese takeout. Working from home with 2 babies its hard to get a bite at times. I placed the order online and my order was slated to arrive in an 1hr15min. My food arrived in 30-40 minutes and was warm upon arrival. The delivery lady was so warm and kind when she knocked my door verses rang the bell to not wake my napping boys. I will definitely be using this service more often! I am just happy to have a food delivery option in Charles County. read more

Today my coworkers and I decided to use this service. We live in La Plata and don't have access to any other food delivery services. We were very, very impressed with the entire experience from how easy it was to order to help well they kept us informed of where our order was and their prompt delivery. I would highly recommend using this service. read more

They do NOT deliver when they say they are going to deliver. I ordered food to be delivered by 8:45/9pm. It is now 9:20 & after calling I found out that it will be ANOTHER 15-30 mins...they're already 20/35 mins late... THAT'S **35-65** MINUTES LATE TOTAL. Unacceptable. read more

I will not be using this service anymore. Today was the first day I used this service because a mother of two, I was excited about the convenience. When I placed my order for Ihop, the guesstimated time was about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes. It took almost 2 hours to get! When I got my food, nothing was hot and it was soggy from condensation. Never again. read more

We have used Food Scooter multiple times and always have the same experience. The food always takes at least 90 minutes but usually more like 2+ hours to arrive. It is never warm upon arrival because they just deliver it in whatever bag the restaurant furnished and don't use warming bags while driving. Drivers have gone to the wrong house even though our address is very easy to find using Maps. They have left our food sitting outside on our porch steps. They don't always have the full take-out menu available for a restaurant. I could go on but you get the picture. Just save yourself a headache and order and pickup the food yourself. read more

I've been ordering from foodscooter for a while now. And we order at least once a week. I ordered tonight at 6:50 and it's now 9:50 and I still haven't received my food. I called and the customer service was rude. When I order $60 worth of food, I'd like more courtesy. I called in to ask where my order was and it was over 10 minutes and I still didn't hear back from them. I called them and was told they didn't hear back so they were waiting to hear... disappointed after having used them for so long. Thumbs down. read more

I use the app a lot actually because a lot of places don't deliver out my way. I really probably would have given this place a higher rating but customer service matters so much to me. I've only ever had one problem with my order being wrong. When the order was wrong they fixed it right away and refunded us the full price of the meal we had that day l. I guess it was my fault because I let a couple months go by without using my credit. Sometimes the credit would appear and does appear and when I would try to use it than it would go to try to charge me the amount of the credit with my order. I tried for at least a month to calm the manager. Well they have a new system and he couldn't find any of my orders. Then he could only find one order from this month so I gave him the number of an order I saw in my account which wasn't even the same order he saw. From that he says oh I see we tried to refund you on July 2 for that order and that's all we have for refunds. One there is nothing I even order at that restaurant that costs that amount and our order from the restaurant are pretty much the same running between 50-80 so what did you refund me for 27 bucks??? The manager goes on to say what he would have done in that situation well sir what you would have done and what you did is too different things and you couldn't even find any of my flipping old orders soooo how did you just come up with that amount. I'll probably still use them because no one really delivers to my address yet but as soon as another app comes along with better customer service I would switch over right away... read more

Ordered lunch at 12:11, according to the order tracker it should have arrived at 12:56. Nothing ever moved on the tracker so I called at 12:52. I was told the driver was on his way to pick it up. Found out the order was just placed, 40 minutes after I ordered online. I called back to verify it would be another 41minutes, no answer, no call back. Didn't receive the food until 1:36. I tried to email to resolve this but their contact us does not work. read more

Horrible! No Quality Control and no Customer Service. They did not deliver my complete order (which was for a crying child). The person who answered the phone was working remote and new. He could only text the manager (Corry) and attempt to resolve the problem. I stayed on the phone 2 hours (the principal of the thing) while my food got cold and was no good by the time I could eat it-NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. We made the child something else-after the first hour, because they did not deliver his meal. I was told by the person on the phone, that he was told the driver is not to check the order, just deliver what they give you. POOR POOR POOR QUALITY CONTROL!!! That makes no sense. Even in the COVID world, use gloves to touch the containers to check. Crazy! The manager-Corry just left the poor new employee to take the heat because she was too busy to help me. I asked for a refund....I was told NO. You are at FOOD SCOOTER's mercy after you pay..I will never order from them again. BUYER BEWARE...HOPE YOU DON'T HAVE ANY CHILDREN OR GUESTS THAT NEED TO EAT...YOU MAY NOT GET YOUR FOOD, AND STILL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT! I will be calling my next restaurant, placing the order myself and using their delivery service...Never FOOD SCOOTER AGAIN! read more

Made an order with Red Hot and Blue for $60 worth of food. I put in the comments for each item to add BBQ sauce for the Brisket, tartar and vinegar for the Catfish which comes with cole slaw, hush puppies and fries, and ordered the Sausage and quart of potato salad. I had to call Food scooter after delivery because we never got any bbq sauce, tartar, vinegar. We didn't get the cole slaw, hush puppies or the buns that come with the brisket. Food scooter did call me back to let me know they spoke to the manager of Red Hot and Blue and got everything fixed however when they delivered the 2nd time we only got the missing cole slaw and some fries? and the missing buns. Still did not receive the BBQ sauce, tartar, vinegar or hush puppies. I was too disappointed to call Food Scooter again for a 3rd attempt at delivering my food correctly. And I know it's hard to complain about sauces, but they really make the meal. I mean for me at least it's hard to eat brisket without bbq sauce and fish without tartar and vinegar. Unfortunately I had to eat my very expensive meal without any sauces. Which was very bland. And I didn't end up having a very good meal. Not to mention when I did call Food Scooter the phone was answered "yeah hello" erhm is this food scooter? Did I call the wrong number? "oh yeah sorry" was my response....pretty unprofessional as a business overall. Won't be using this service again nor willl I recommend it. TLDR- Spent alot of money on food, was delivered with missing food twice didn't try a 3rd time... read more

I really wish I could select a negative number for the stars. Food Scooter is the absolute worst. In the multiple years that I have been ordering from them, I have NEVER ONE TIME received my food when promised, AND IT USUALLY ARRIVES COLD! The service sucks, the drivers suck, the fees suck, the management sucks. Everything about Food Scooter sucks...I am done. I must have had a moment of temporary insanity when I ordered from them tonight, but my mind has cleared and it will never happen again. There has got to be another alternative...maybe I will start my own food delivery service....I certainly have time to write a business plan while I sit here for another two hours and wait for my freaking food...... read more

I put an order in and received a confirmation at the end but it went over my estimated delivery time, so I called food scooter and they told me my order was not in their system. Food is always hot I can order from cold stone and ice cream isn't melted love this service...

This service is a joke. Delivery fee is ridiculously high, and I waited 2.5 hours for my food to be delivered. I called after 2 hours, they claimed they were waiting on the restaurant. When they arrived 30 min later with the food, it was cold. Don't bother using Food Scooter unless it's a last resort. read more

I placed an order on Thursday, Jan 30th. This was the second time in days. The first time i ordered, my food came late and the young man told me he stopped for gas. Ok, the second time i ordered at 6:50 pm. At 7:26, someone called to tell me they were short on drivers. He told me it would be about another 45 min. Ok. So needless to say, that didn't happen. I received my food at 9:20 pm, 2 1/2 hours after i ordered. I will never use the again. read more

The last 3 consecutive orders have been missing food. When you call they are rude and lack customer service. They act like they are doing you a favor getting you your missing food. This is my first experience and it is absolutely terrible! I placed my order online approximately an hour ago. I received a notice that said the order had been delivered which it had not. I contacted the company via telephone and she indicated that it did not show that it had been delivered on her end and that she was unsure of how much longer it would take. As I type this review, I still have not received my food. I am going to wait another 15 minutes and then cancel the order and ask for a refund. Next time I will go pick up my food. read more

I only give it one star because I have to press a star. They would get a 0. We have ordered multiple times and they always take forever to bring the food. Today we ordered and got a notification that the food had been delivered but it had not been. When we called, we got put on hold by the automated system only to be sent back to the beginning after 5 minutes. After my wife went to the location, the driver finally arrived at our house. He had nothing but excuses and a poor attitude. Overall, this place is a huge failure. Not recommended to anyone. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE, GOT FOOD OVER 2 HOURS LATER!!!! Tonight a placed a $50 order at Crown Chicken and waffle. The order was picked up, but somehow never delivered to my house. And this has already been over an hour wait. I don't see how this happened of course, which is what your in the business for. I called and spoke to somone, he stated that he'd call me back so he took down my number. I never did get a call back because he stated that he called the wrong person back. Excuse me??? So therefore after some time, I had to call him back. And I'm told that he can't even locate his driver with my food and that he is having the order remade and sent out by another driver. So basically I'll be now on a 2 hour wait for my food and do I even trust and believe that my food will make it to me??? I work in hospitality for something like this I would DEFINITELY NOT CHARGE THE GUEST for this poor service that was MY FAULT. But yet he states all he can do is not charge me for the sodas and delivery charge. Are you kidding me??? This is actually a slap in the face and a joke to know that YOU MEESED up but yet I still have to pay $50 for food being delivered to me 2 hours later??? I suggest someone else resolve this issue because this doesn't fly with me and if need be, I'll report this incident. read more
