Terrible!! Placed an order and they were the only delivery option available. After close to an hour and a half later, I finally called. Was informed that the restaurant received the order and a driver was on his way to pick it up. The person I spoke with admitted that he didn't place the order with the restaurant until an hour after I had placed it online. DO NOT USE FOOD SCOOTER! I canceled an order from Pho D Lite in Waldorf after they failed to even start the order until I called. As a result they had problems finding someone to deliver from Food Scooter and every time I called the young lady kept whining about their closing time, so I canceled the order. She kept blaming food scooter for the delay. I cancelled it and had already ordered grubhub and finished my food when the canceled order showed up at my door. I refused it, of course. Today, Food Scooter cancelled a new order to a different restaurant because it seems that customers are punished for refusing poor services. This effectively begins my formal campaign to prevent people from using Food Scooter and from eating at Pho D Lite. Hope the lost revenue is worth it...... read more

Well I guess I can never use food scooter anymore. They've recently changed all of the minimum orders to $25.00. I work alone in an office and I can't leave to get lunch so on some days when I didn't bring my lunch, I liked to order from food scooter , it was always a $15 minimum and a $5 delivery charge. Now it's going to be over $30 and I'd have to add on a bunch of items that I know I won't be able to eat. I guess it's good for large office orders but not all of your customers are groups of people, I'm sure most are people who can't leave to get lunch. Food Scooter's gaslighting & trolling is an unrecognized artform at this point. Ever see The Chapelle Show's sketch on Kinko's called "Popcopy"? It is like that. But with food. I do accept my responsibility in this as 'the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and not just making a PB&J' I not only absentmindedly used this service (again) but I used cash (again).... & again(again) the driver had no cash despite grilling them and insisting on reassurance. Learn from my stupidity. Let me add an extra-shameful tidbit to my original review: I had a $50 bill on a $25-30ish dollar order so the tip was... large, egregiously large. A large convenience tax that I apparently did not get the message of, so Food Scooter made sure to redeliver. Thanks Food Scooter! Now this time I didnt warn them the size of the bill ahead of time as I suspected maybe my alerting them the bill was $50 the first time was why I was repeatedly 'reassured the driver will have cash' wink wink, nudge nudge... but nah. To his credit, he had a few bucks(*) but it still soared the cost well above a 20% tip including the delivery fees. Worse, according to a few reviews I've seen - I am not the only one who has dealt with this?! Ouch. tl;dr they don't take cash. Sounds vaguely like they're on an UberEAT's model but with even less support... for example I've never seen a warming bag (I personally don't care about this but FYI), had a driver (unprompted) ranting about the job, and twice saw the delivery drivers go through their own wallets for cash(*). But poor support for drivers isnt the customer's responsibility to offset. The only positive about this place is that it will really deter you from blowing your budget on food delivery ... Food scooter is by far the worst delivery service out there. The cost of delivery is insane to begin with and this is the second time our order has taken more than two hours. Their contact page link doesn't work to complain and their number has no humans to talk to. They did nothing to remedy the situation the first time this happened. We waited a good 6 months to give them a chance to improvise and it's literally the exact same problem again tonight. They should not be allowed to call themselves food delivery. Still waiting to see what condition the food is delivered in it if ever gets here but last time it was cold as ice. Never again and I truly think they should be out of business since there has been no improvement in there business standard over this length of time. Update: I got a very fast call back when I responded to a delivery update email demanding they remedy the situation. The person was very apologetic and took the time to explain their process to me. We had not received one of our items and he is sending the driver back with it and deducted that from the total as well as some additional money for our trouble. He also gave another email that he personally monitors in case we have issues again. So I have changed the rating from 1 to 3. I will in fact give them another chance. read more

I've only used Food Scooter once so far but I freaking love it!!!! I love the idea of being able to order from my favorite restaurants that don't deliver. Also, I am no longer stuck with Chinese food or pizza, I have healthy options to choose from. Food Scooter is freaking genius! The wait time is a bit much BUT knowing that....just make sure you order your food before everyone is close to death from starving. Food Scooter sends text messages for every step. For example, I received a text when they placed my order, when they arrived at the restaurant, and when they were on the way. The ONLY thing that I don't like is if I want to pay a tip using my debit/credit card, I have to do it when I place my order vs when the delivery person arrives. read more

I wanted to give them a chance but my experience was terrible. I ordered $45 of food at 8:50pm. My order was supposed to arrive at 9:50 pm. Food scooter charged my card and never brought me food. I emailed and called hen and nothing. The following day I called them. I spoke with a polite guy so that was night and he explained it was busy the night before. So I tried to listen but he said they had 14 orders they had to cancel and there was know way he could call all 14 people that orders had to be cancelled. if you charge me and don't bring my food I should get a call or a email or text or something. Honestly, I am glad I tried this service today. I have bee living in White Plains for a year and did not have much healthy alternatives or food options in the area that deliver with the exception of papa johns and chinese takeout. Working from home with 2 babies its hard to get a bite at times. I placed the order online and my order was slated to arrive in an 1hr15min. My food arrived in 30-40 minutes and was warm upon arrival. The delivery lady was so warm and kind when she knocked my door verses rang the bell to not wake my napping boys. We have used Food Scooter multiple times and always have the same experience. The food always takes at least 90 minutes but usually more like 2+ hours to arrive. It is never warm upon arrival because they just deliver it in whatever bag the restaurant furnished and don't use warming bags while driving. Drivers have gone to the wrong house even though our address is very easy to find using Maps. They have left our food sitting outside on our porch steps. They don't always have the full take-out menu available for a restaurant. I could go on but you get the picture. Just save yourself a headache and order and pickup the food yourself. read more

I called and the customer service was rude. When I order $60 worth of food, I'd like more courtesy. I called in to ask where my order was and it was over 10 minutes and I still didn't hear back from them. I use the app a lot actually because a lot of places don't deliver out my way. I really probably would have given this place a higher rating but customer service matters so much to me. I've only ever had one problem with my order being wrong. When the order was wrong they fixed it right away and refunded us the full price of the meal we had that day l. I guess it was my fault because I let a couple months go by without using my credit. Sometimes the credit would appear and does appear and when I would try to use it than it would go to try to charge me the amount of the credit with my order. I tried for at least a month to calm the manager. Well they have a new system and he couldn't find any of my orders. Then he could only find one order from this month so I gave him the number of an order I saw in my account which wasn't even the same order he saw. From that he says oh I see we tried to refund you on July 2 for that order and that's all we have for refunds. One there is nothing I even order at that restaurant that costs that amount and our order from the restaurant are pretty much the same running between 50-80 so what did you refund me for 27 bucks??? The manager goes on to say what he would have done in that situation well sir what you would have done and what you did is too different things and you couldn't even find any of my flipping old orders soooo how did you just come up with that amount. Horrible! No Quality Control and no Customer Service. They did not deliver my complete order (which was for a crying child). The person who answered the phone was working remote and new. He could only text the manager (Corry) and attempt to resolve the problem. I stayed on the phone 2 hours (the principal of the thing) while my food got cold and was no good by the time I could eat it-NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. We made the child something else-after the first hour, because they did not deliver his meal. Made an order with Red Hot and Blue for $60 worth of food. I put in the comments for each item to add BBQ sauce for the Brisket, tartar and vinegar for the Catfish which comes with cole slaw, hush puppies and fries, and ordered the Sausage and quart of potato salad. I had to call Food scooter after delivery because we never got any bbq sauce, tartar, vinegar. We didn't get the cole slaw, hush puppies or the buns that come with the brisket. Food scooter did call me back to let me know they spoke to the manager of Red Hot and Blue and got everything fixed however when they delivered the 2nd time we only got the missing cole slaw and some fries? and the missing buns. Still did not receive the BBQ sauce, tartar, vinegar or hush puppies. I was too disappointed to call Food Scooter again for a 3rd attempt at delivering my food correctly. And I know it's hard to complain about sauces, but they really make the meal. I mean for me at least it's hard to eat brisket without bbq sauce and fish without tartar and vinegar. Unfortunately I had to eat my very expensive meal without any sauces. Which was very bland. And I didn't end up having a very good meal. Today we ordered and got a notification that the food had been delivered but it had not been. When we called, we got put on hold by the automated system only to be sent back to the beginning after 5 minutes. After my wife went to the location, the driver finally arrived at our house. This is my first experience and it is absolutely terrible! I placed my order online approximately an hour ago. I received a notice that said the order had been delivered which it had not. I contacted the company via telephone and she indicated that it did not show that it had been delivered on her end and that she was unsure of how much longer it would take. As I type this review, I still have not received my food. I am going to wait another 15 minutes and then cancel the order and ask for a refund. Next time I will go pick up my food. read more
